Most of the poetry included on this site is written by Marcelina Yupik,
and
while it may not always be explicitly sexual, it is always erotically charged.
The
poems are brief, and are presented in their entirety on this page,
but will
also be available for individual download via the FTP site.
Angie says --
All the poems on the BHL
website
suggest sexual fantasy or erotic complexities.
Therefore, these should not be read by or to minors,
nor by or to anyone for whom these
materials are
illegal, immoral, or ill-advised.
The poems represent something of a growth process, and so are presented in the order in which they were written.
"Poem in D# Minor"
2007, Marcelina Yupik (writing as PurpleFlowers89)
Like the crackling
Clinking
Chinking
Of a thousand chandeliers
lights
Collapsing in chorus
Goes the
twittering
Tottering
Tattering
Of a thousand distant love
lights
Collapsing in my heart
"Love(?), Stillborn"
2007, Marcelina Yupik (writing as PurpleFlowers89)
At the little restaurant at the corner of misbegotten hopes
And half-finished
dreams
Our eyes brushed against each other in the hallway, apologized
Then
exchanged nervous greetings
They traded pleasantries and sized each other up,
politely
Where are you from?
Before scouting out the surrounding territory
of smiles, blushes
And uneasy anticipation
Then our eyes parted company,
but they they walked up and down
Afraid to walk away
And when they
returned to another, hope flamed and then darkened
Our eyes had sealed our
pact
The words had been looked and seen, the feelings duly
expressed
Shared and shared alike
But, no matter what heroes and ladies of
old have told and sworn
Love does not conquer all
Sometimes love, hunger,
desire, affection, hope--die in the eyes
Before tasting fresh
air
Because sometimes love is not enough
And sometimes love is too
much
Sometimes, even the sweetest, dearest love between two people
Is
recognized in its death
At the little restaurant at the corner of misbegotten
hopes
And half-finished dreams
Our eyes brushed against each other in the
hallway, pledged love
Then agreed to sacrifice the pledge
On the
altar
Of the Impossible
