Between Her Legs:

About the Sex Stories

Because our intention is to continue Melody's work, most of what she had to say about the nature of BetweenHerLegs erotica is still true even now.  In that spirit, her words are maintained basically in-tact, with any appropriate edits clearly marked.

Most of my stories are written in order to help me fill out the details in some passing fantasy. As such, they are also ways of drawing out and lengthening the fleeting sexual thought of a moment. Because of this, all my stories turn me on, and every single one has brought me to at least one climax. I hope they do the same for you, gentlereader over eighteen.

Since my stories are linked to my fantasies, they reflect my desires and my longings. I don't intend them to necessarily be realistic, and I don't intend them as guides for how to live your life. As someone who has been a lesbian most of her life, I realize that not every woman is secretly a lesbian or a bi. But, as someone who has been a lesbian most of her life, most of my fantasies have revolved around unattainable women realizing some latent and powerful attraction to other women.

In my stories you will find a strong emphasis on women's first bisexual or lesbian experiences, though some are about the pleasures and joys of straight sex, and some are in the context of long-time lesbian flings. There's often some sort of age differential or power differential between partners, and I thrive on the power of seduction to reverse those differentials. I also have thing for Asians and folks like Native Alaskans who look strongly Asian, so you will also doubtless find a healthy smattering of interracial sex.

My stories, like my fantasies, are very convoluted, so I gave up trying to use traditional story codes [Angie: story codes are used in the titles of the text versions of the stories, actually]. Instead, [in the web index] I provide each story with a brief textual description that should help guide the reader towards things within his or her tastes and away from things the individul reader find distasteful, offensive, or boring.

Which brings to mind one of the questions people always ask -- how authobiographical are my stories? Not very. I've done a lot of the acts included, but the stories and contexts are pretty much just fantasy. A few are more autobiographical than others, but I'll let you figure out which ones those are. As for characters, since most of my fantasies are inspired by someone I know or see or am told about, most of the chracters are amalgams of various indivual's appeareances, pesonalities, ages, context and conflicts, but all jumbled up and re-combined well-beyond recognition.

In response to another quesiton I've gotten recently, yes, these stories are all my fantasies -- but not all my desires. There is a difference between what I fantasize about and what I wish for or hunger for. Sometimes I fantasize deliberately about other people's desires in order to try to understand what makes those other people tick sexually. Sometimes I fantasize about experiences I or other have had in order to try to come to grips with those experiences. I say this so that the kind reader clearly understands that reading my stories is a peak into my mind but not necessarily into my heart. The distinction is very important.  [Angie: Amen!]
