Between Her Legs

About BetweenHerLegs

Updated, 11/18/07

Update:  There have been a lot of changes overtime, and we're still working on how best to operate in the "new era."  Originally, BetweenHerLegs was the pseudonym of a young woman named Melody, who took her own life in the spring of 2007.   A while after that happened, a group of her friends banded together to work on editing and completing some of Melody's unfinished stories.   While this arrangement had a few months of intensely productive time together, the arrangement was ultimately doomed by the life-directions and personalities of those involved.  When it finally collapsed, Angie was the only one left standing.  She assummed the penname BetweenHerLegs and hoped to continue representing Melody's spirit as best she could, as the one in the group who had known her the longest and most intimately.  The time had come, though, to expand the persepctive of the stories and to temper some of the original passions of Melody, which could at time lead to disjointed and unintentionally disturbing stories.  So Angie has made relationships two co-authors, including Marcelina Yupik.

Angie: The present BetweenHerLegs is twenty-eight years-old, and a lifelong lesbian.  She was also a lifelong friend of Melody, and they shared a romance throughout highschool.  Angie has coached cheer-landing coach  and instructed dance.  At present she runs an activity center  for young women in the Midwest, where she encourages self esteem and self-improvement through a variety of physical activity classes, some of which she teaches, and others of which she has brought in other experts to teach.  While she is a Christian and a member of a baptist church, she strongly advocates for gay rights, and hopes someday to meet and legally marry the woman of her dreams.    Her erotica fantasy interests? "While we aren't writing love stories or literature, I still want to inject a strong sense of emotion.  I am turned on by love, hate, curiosity and other powerful feelings which can end up driving the behavior of real people.  They should be seen somehow as driving characters even in sex stories. "

Marcelina Yupik:   Marcelina Yupik is the pseudonym of a young Native Alaskan lesbian, taken in part to honor photographer Marcelina Martin, who has done such amazing work on the idea of sacred sexuality in lesbian relationships.  While Marcelina Yupik herself sees spiritual power in all sexual energy, not just that of lesbians, she promotes the idea of the feminine sacred, because she sees traditional heterosexual culture as essentially promoting the idea of masculine as sacred and the woman as worshipper and servant of that power.  She is a full-time writer who at present lives with the woman she hopes to spend the rest of her life with, whom Marci descibes as, "a twenty-seven year-old blonde who is full of the very essenve of life itself and eagerly shares it with anyone who dares to risk exposure to its complex reality."  Together, they participate in a shamanistic spiritual life, exploring the higher possiblities of Buddhuism, within a context established by childood Christianity.   Her erotica fantasy interests?  "Thematically, I really live for the moment in stories where lovers join and do not create for themselves a new reality but realize the reality that had been there all along.  It's a tremendously powerful awakening, and I find it sexually exhilirating.  And as a recent high-school graduate involved with a woman who has her masters already, I find age differences pretty hot, too.   The deep and the shallow, forever intertwined."

BHL Editors

During the period after Melody's death, these women worked with Angie on editing and continuing the unfinished stories and notes.  Each had her own inspirational experiences with Melody, and each has contributed greatly to the continuing development of BetweenHerLegs as an author.

Honey, who self-identifies as a bi-sexual, is a former sex-trade worker whose father is Thai and whose mother is a Filipina.  She recently completed a degree in library science, and is presently working part-time in a library in the western United States while looking for professional work.  She met Melody through Melody's own part-time work in the sex-trade during college, and became friends with her,.  She was also her roommate during the last, traumatic year of her life.  Recently, thanks to her leaving professional sex world, Honey was able to finally explore a long-lingering lesbian romance.  The relationship blossomed, and the two women arranged for a special Therevada Buddhist wedding ceremony to unite them.   They consider themselves married, and plan on claiming every legal right that should grant them and fighting until it is recognized.   Her erotica fantasy interests?   "Well, partly I think it's interesting to play around with people.  To take normal people and throw them into a lifestyle they don't know.  And to bring people living alternate lifestyles and screw 'em into square holes.  But, honestly, I like wild sex.  I like group sex, I like a little bit of force and humiliation, and I like it when things get squirty and cummy."

Primose Star was the pseudonym of an eighteen year-old native Alaskan lesbian, whose gift with words and detail nearly matched the original author.  She never knew Melody, but was a a friend of Honey's,  and became a fan of BetweenHerLegs erotica very quickly.  Her first trip outside of Alaska took her overseas into a precarious situation in the late summer of 2007.   It is uncertain what her status is at this time.  Her erotica fantasy interests?   "For me, it's all about the seduction, particularly if the seduction has to overcome a personal taboo.  I'm not sure if it's the suspense leading up to success that gets me or the explosion that accompanies final release, but one way or the other, I love it."

Christine is a bisexual college student, nearly finished with her degree.  She is a believer in the Feminine Divine.   She proposes that this is different from the concept of sacred sexuality, in that it goes much further in explaining all forces of the cosmos in terms of female sexuality.  Female energy, she and her group believe, is Goddess (creator, sustainor, and destroyer of all that is), and that male energy is subject to female energy, and exists to service and enable it.  She believes that sexuality is the key to mystical contact with that energy which is both the essential divine and the essential individual, so that a woman can best realize her own divinity at the moment of orgasm in a sexual act in which a male fertilizes her egg but she also brings about the orgasm of another woman.  She is an ex-girlfiend of both Melody and Honey, but no longer believes permanent relationships or the emotional attachment called love are necessary or useful to her.  Her erotica fantasy interests? "I like first time sexual experiences, whatever they are; people pushing their boundaries and coming into contact with new kinds of sexual energy.  I also love the destruction and rearrangement of relationships.  Turns me the hell on to see commitment fucked with in the name of sex.  Gimme a piece of that pie!"

The What follows is Melody's original FAQ.  Our additions and modifications are noted, but we wanted to maintain these very personal words of our friend.

Love life: My life tends to be a mess; I feel sometimes like I've neer escaped the absurd drama of high school life, except that I wasn't doing the things I've done lately in high school. Thank god! Recently I was emotionally torn between a girl I dated in high school and has re-entered my life [Angie] and an older man I met on-line. The confusion and frustration worked itself out in the obvious way: tawdry sex with my the half-Filipina, half-Thai girl I share my apartment with [Honey].  The relationship with the man blew up in a way that convinced me that while there are things I physically enjoy about men from time to time, I'm a lesbian through and through.  I just like a little sperm in my dildo from time to time.  [ Angie adds: Yes, it was difficult for a while when we realized that three of the four of us had had sex with Melody, but we also realized that her sex addition was what had led to our getting together, so we shouldn't be surprised by this.]

Physical Description: For those who are interested, I'm about 5'7" I think, and I haven't weighed myself in fovever, but I exercise all the time and wear a size 6 or 8 depending. My eyes are brown but very clear so they pick up a reddish glint in the right light.  My hair is blonde, long, and straight. And that's all the details you'll get for now...  [ Angie is a measurements maven; she knows her own on any given day within half an inch, and can usually guess other people's.  Angie is 34C-23.5-34.5 and is 5'10" tall.  She has long, brown hair with light highlights, and eyes which can be blue or green depending on the day, but invariably photograph brown.    Honey is 5'3" and doesn't know her daily measurements, but does know that when she was least measured by her agent she was 36D-28-36.  To most Americans, she simply looks Asian, and to most Asians she looks like some other kind of Asian than they are.   Primrose Star has no idea what her measurements are or ever have been, but she's a petite girl, barely over five feet tall and she usually wears a Size 2 or an Extra Small.  As a Yupiq, she's a pretty Asian-looking native american with long black hair, and skin that Melody used to compae to coffee with creamer in it.  Christine is an all-American looking white girl.  Brunette, pretty average height and weight, but distributed well enough that she's done some small-time modelling.  Her most recognized feature are her bright blue eyes.]

Why "Between Her Legs"? It's my life-long obsession... My first conscious sexual arousal centered on some sexy panties I found on the floor. I quickly began trying to picture every woman I saw in such panties, and that led to a fixation on women's thighs, especially their inner thighs. And naturally there are other goodies in there, too.  =)  Come to think of it, the panties belonged to a female Korean exchange student who was staying with is.  So maybe that one experience is responsible all my sexual obsessions... =)

Sexual Orientation: I was lesbian for a most of life, but discovered along the way that I also found great satisfaction in giving men sexual pleasure. I suppose what I am sexually is addicted to making other people feel good. But relationally, I'm all about other girls. My body clicks in more ways than my heart does, I suppose...  I'm increasingly drawn to the idea of relationships with a difference in age and experience, because I think both the power and knowledge imbalance are highly erotic.

Sex Life Questionaire:

Sex with opposite sex? Yes, though not for a couple of months now. [ Angie:   "I'm the only one here who's never had sex with man and never been interested in it."]

Sex with same sex? Yes, more than opposite, and more recently than the with the opposite.  [ Primose Star: "We've all had sex with other women, and that's really our focus.  Honey considers herself bi, but that's because she had sex with a lot of men while she was a pro.  She's never been in love with anyone other than the woman who is now her wife.  Christine is bi, but her religion elevates women so she's at home with the focus the rest of us share on lesbianism."]

Group sex? Yes. An ex-girlfriend and I used to pick up guys at bars and bring them home for threesomes. I've also been at a lot of sex parties, though that's more disogranized sex than group sex!   Presently, I'm no longer engaged in these activities and don't really see it on my horizon, but I won't rule it out.  There's one group situation right now that, were it to occur, would light my world on fire. [ Angie: "As near as we've been able to guess,  the group she was talking about would have been her, me, and Honey, but that's a guess.  I'm the only one here who's never been in a group.  While thinking about groups is kind of sexy sometimes, it's not something I see myself pursuing.  Primrose has been in two all-girl threesomes.  In her line of work, Honey did all sorts of configurations, and Christine has group sex on a weekly basis as part of her religious practice."]

Sex for profit? Regrettably, yes. There was a brief period where I was doing some mostly local porn, and I even turned a couple of tricks.   Neither are as exciting as you probably think, even if you don't think either would be terribly exciting. [ Honey: "I've done a lot of porn, dancing, and escort shit.  I enjoyed the work more than Melody did, but exciting would be the wrong word.  But regardless, the subculture surrounding it and the industrial complex of sex-for-profit are hell.  Hell.  Hell, I tell you."]

Sex in public? No intercourse. A female friend and I fingered each other to climax in the dressing room of a local thrift store, though.  She'll never do it again, though, because I screamed when I came and this got us a lot of attention and a quick request for an exit. [ Honey: "'I've turned tricks in semi-public places."  Christine: "Does the stockroom at work count?"]

Most taboo sex? I don't know... In my circles, I'm not sure what counts as taboo.   Never had sex with a family member closer than my aunt.  Never had sex with anyone under the legal age.  So I guess there are limits, but...  (shrug) [ Angie: "Nothing close to taboo."  Primrose Star: "I had more taboo sex when I was a teenager than I have since I became legal."  Christine: "I love bukake and all that shit, and I tried some glory hole action at a party once.  And group fucks and anal fucks and getting cummed on generally."  Honey: "Apart from what I've done in pornos, I've had sex with two of my sisters, and twice I gave my dad blow-jobs."]

What's off-limits? No animals, no scat, no urine, no torture. I don't get terribly turned on by man-on-man, but that's not really a limit, I don't think, just something that doesn't thrill me.  One penis is often too much, and is almost always plenty.  [ Angie: "Our limits are really the same as hers."  Christine: "Although I think man on man can be a turn-on sometimes."]

Alcohol? Lots of gin and tonic.   No beer.  Some whiskey.

Smoke? No, and I don't especially like kissing smokers either.

Drugs? I'm around lots of drugs, but it's never been my thing, apart from the occasional toke in the depths of our long Fairbanks winters.

And you can probably figure out more from the stories...
