The Apuleius Collection
- Sometimes it's just easier to point at a collection. This is one of those times. The Apuleius Collection finds its home on ASSTR.
-
-
Stories Online
- Speaking of collections, many authors either publish their stories in or link from Stories Online (including me). Lazeez makes this site available in much the same way as ASSTR. I don't love Stories Online better than ASSTR, I love it in a different way. :þ~

ASS Hall of Fame
- Over the years hundreds of people have written erotic stories and posted them for the public to enjoy either in one of the collection of Usenet newsgroups in the hierarchy "Alt.Sex.Stories," or, before those existed, on bulletin boards. Many others have in some way helped those authors. This Hall of Fame is designed to honor some of those contributors to the erotic writing community.

All-Time Favourites 4.0
All-Time Favourites 4.1
All-Time Favourites 4.2
- Hosted by RUI JORGE, the list is also a gateway to many of the Festivals, Contests, and Challenges listed on this page. The All-Time Favourites are a compilation of the favorites lists of numerous authors and fans, broken down by lists, by links to authors, and by links to stories.
- Rui Jorge is the past and present Master of Ceremonies for the ASS* Community - he creates the majority of the Websites for the aforementioned contests and festivals. He inspired this page. Anyone designing such a site could do worse than to base it on his designs.
- Hopefully, the All-Time Favourites list will soon contain Gary's Top 10 Favorite Stories List, my own contribution.

2002 Summer Solstice Rom Festival
- Over the years there have been many Writing Festivals. Stories were submitted in all categories and we saw 40, 50 and as many as 60 stories in a festival. This time it will take a complete day for moderation to release all the stories for the Summer Solstice Festival. We'll get to read more stories in this festival than we've seen in any other. What do they all have in common? Romance. The one common denominator that brought so many authors and stories together on one day is romance. Now we know the most popular erotic genre.

Write Club
- The idea of The Write Club grew out of discussions on ASSD in early August 2000 concerning Shon Richards's proposals for the "Iron Writer" contests.
- Malinov suggested a quick-fire variation for writers with the write stuff, subsequently named "The Write Club" by Shon.
- The ante is the duellists’ pride in their reps as hacks. Their rewards are death or glory, fame or infamy, a rep as the fastest pen in the West.
-
-
Iron Writer
- "Iron Writer" is a simple contest inspired by the television show "Iron Chef". In "Iron Chef", two chefs are given a common ingredient, and expected to create full course meals using this secret ingredient. The two meals are then tested and judged by four impartial judges. It's a show dedicated to the love of food.
- Iron Writer is dedicated to the love of erotic writing in much the same way.

-
The Virago Blue Challenge
- The Virago Blue Challenge was organized between February and March, 2002. It was inspired by Baen's "Chicks in Chainmail" series of anthologies, and was named after ASSD's resident "chick in chainmail," Virago Blue.
- The Challenge's rules were quite simple, anyone who wished to enter just had to write a sex story with a woman or girl wearing some kind of armor in it.

Mud Slingers '99
- In 1999, Shon Richards (then known as Lord Shon) issued a challenge:
-
Hmm, is it possible to do a mud-wrestling sex story that was somewhat serious? Would a mud-wrestling story be any good without the visuals? If someone did a mud-wrestling story, could they post it without feeling shame?

Golden Clitorides Awards
- The "Golden Clitorides Awards" were created in 1999 by Maria Gonzales with the purpose of helping promote good stories and good authors, and, at the same time, stroking the authors' egos. :)
- With the help of JohnA, Maria organized the 1st edition of the awards in 1999.
- Due to Maria's lack of time Rui Jorge took over the organizing of the awards since the year 2000 edition.
-
-

Miscellaneous
Okay, you're past all the Author links. From this point on, I'm just throwing in a few references to Web Sites I like, for some reason I may or may not admit to. Don't get your hopes up - there're no nasty free picture sites. If that's what you want, I'm sure you can and have found those on your own.
Okay, so I can't take my favorites with me when I log on to AOL as a guest, and I'm just sneaking some of them in here so they'll be available when I want them. So what? I'll bet you wish you'd thought of it first.

Jane's Sex Guide for Quality Porn
-
Jane's Sex Guide for Quality Porn is responsible for my having a web site in the first place. Jane's Site is one of the links in a chain that led me here, introduced me to all those authors that I list as favorites, some of whom in turn encouraged me to write. THANKS, JANE!
