New Fiction

Bookgirl Downunder

This is a work in progress inspired by the suggestions and stories of a friend from Australia. Chapter 4 added today.

The Italian Adventure

Like the story above, this work in progress takes me abroad to another exotic place I'd love to visit: the Adriatic Coast and islands off Italy.

BDSM Limits Lists

Traditionally these have been presented like a multiple choice quiz to determine what people will and won't do in a BDSM scene and their levels of interest in specific activities. If you're anything like me (hates being locked into decision making or anything else that might limit improvisation) you'll have probably dismissed these lists as being not relevant. But they can have uses. It all depends on how they're used. In this essay I'd like to share a way I've found to use limits lists without having them diminish the spontaneity of play.

New Games

Traffic Lights

If there's one aspect of BDSM that I like the most, it's playing games. The games I enjoy most are those that involve some kind of random or unpredictable outcome. Naturally, card and dice games have always featured often but somebody recently suggested one that involves traffic lights!

" Good girls keep diaries..."

Bad girls don't have the time. Or so said Mae West. I've always kept diaries :)

In Case You Hadn't Already Heard...

There's a big, bad new virus doing the rounds of the net. How big? So Big (insert image of fisherman holding his hands widely apart)

I normally don't take any notice of the various viruses and bugs that infect computers around the globe but this latest one has been causing headaches for just about everybody that I know. It's not that I or any of the people I know have been infected by it - it's all those other numbskulls out there who continue to use the email virus spreading program aka Outlook/Outlook Express. If you insist on using this program, do all your friends a favor and learn how to protect yourself from viral infections. If you're not prepared to do that, switch off your computer NOW and don't turn it back on again until after the 10th of September, 2003 (the date this latest bug is supposedly due to expire)

All of this dealing with the bombardment of my email collection boxes has meant I've had little opportunity to do much work on this site. I have however been able to complete a few more chapters of the Bookgirl Downunder series (see link on the left of this page) as well as add a few interesting new links The gallery pages are also receiving some attention however the server that hosts them is currently offline. Watch this space for news!

The Six-Sided Submissive

Aside from the fiction here at this site I am currently still working on writing a full-length piece that traces my submissive journey over the past twenty or so years. It's a blend of reality and fantasy that is intended to be as entertaining as it is factual. The framework for this story as well as one or two completed sections is presently online HERE and is titled A Serendipitous Journey . I'm thinking of changing the title to The Six-Sided Submissive following something I read in Luke Rhinehart's book The Dice Man . "The title is vital..." or so said Ira Gershwin.

New Yahoo Group

A while ago I created a Yahoo group for the collection of comments and feedback from this and my other site. Lately there's been an influx of people wanting to join so I've decided to open it up to people interested in discussing my stories or anything else related to the themes presented here. CLICK HERE to visit the group. You'll need a Yahoo ID and profile complete with details stating you're 18+ to join. Expect to have your membership application rejected if your profile is incomplete.

Writing Partners

A couple of weeks ago I advertized in a couple of places soliciting people interested in swapping ideas for fantasy stories. The response initally was overwhelming with many people claiming to be interested. Alas, the number of those who have since gone on to show any real interest has dwindled to one or two with my Australian friend Alex being the only person currently actively engaged in a story with me (Bookgirl Downunder) If anybody else reading is interested in getting involved in a similar story writing adventure, feel free to join the Yahoo group above and make your interest known.

About Me

I'm a happily married woman working in the academic field who enjoys art, reading, music and simple romantic pleasures such as picnics and walks on the beach. Fairly ordinary, really.

About Serendipity

By definition it is " the faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident. " It's a word that I think is succinct in the way it explains how I came to discover my interests in BDSM, in particular, my submissive nature. I was nearly thirty tears old before I began to feel free to express this part of me and a further nine of so before I started to really feel comfortable with my desires. None on this might have happened if it hadn't been for a chance meeting with the man I ultimately married. This in itself could be described as happenstance - my second favorite word :)
