Human Drama

Kevin, Judith, and the Spencer Plan

David Carter

"Judith Miranda Oswalt, you are guilty of leaving the kitchen oven on after cooking dinner. As punishment, you will be stripped naked and given ten minutes of corner time. Then you will receive a thorough hand spanking until I think it is sufficient. Next, you will move over to the Liberator shapes and place your bottom in a raised position. I will restrain your wrists and ankles and give you 36 licks with the bath brush. Ten additional minutes of corner time will follow. You will remain still and keep your hands away from your bottom. Do you have any questions or comments?"

"No sir."

"Then we will begin."

One minute later, Judith was standing naked with her nose pressed into the corner and her arms down to her side.

"So here I am again standing in the corner about to be punished for carelessness. How could I have been so stupid? My stupidity has ruined the makings of a perfect night." Judith thought?"

Thirty minutes earlier, she and her husband were downstairs cuddling on the sofa and relaxing after dinner. Suddenly they smelled smoke coming from the kitchen, and the smoke detectors sounded about the same time. Kevin grabbed the fire extinguisher and put out the small fire that had started in the top of the oven.

"Oh thank heavens! I am glad we were here and were able to get to the fire before it got any bigger. I am glad that's over," said Judith.

"Well, the fire is out, but I am afraid the situation is not over."

"What do you mean?"

"I think you know, Judith. Leaving the oven on is carelessness, which is a punishable offense according to our agreement. Please go upstairs and wait for me, and I will be up shortly."

Judith did not argue with her husband. He was right. Carelessness was a biggie in their Dorothy Spencer Plan agreement.

"Yes sir." Then she took the dreaded walk up the stairs.

When the ten minutes expired, Kevin called for her.

"Young lady, it is time for your spanking. Come forth."

She came out of the corner to where he was sitting and went over his lap.

Her hand spanking lasted about eight minutes. She then went over to the Liberator shapes and Kevin positioned her like he wanted. He issued the 36 licks with the bath brush as promised. Afterwards, Judith went back to the corner in full tears and supporting a bright red bottom and upper thighs. There would be no play spanking tonight.

One week later, the tables turned.

"Kevin Daniel Oswalt, you are guilty of road rage and using profanity while driving. As punishment, you will be stripped naked and given ten minutes of corner time. Then you will receive a warm-up spanking with the ping-pong paddle. This will be followed by 40 licks with the strap and ten more minutes of corner time. Do you have any questions or comments?"

"No Ma'am."

Crimson Kid

I generally enjoy stories about the Spenser Spanking Plan, as long as they hit on the key element of the Plan which is its reciprocity--while the giving and receiving of marital spankings doesn't necessarily have to be 50-50, IMHO there should be some indication that both participants are on the receiving end of the disciplinary action to some degree. Since this narrative does refer to each spouse being punished for a marital transgression, it does reflect the main feature of Ms. Spenser's concept AFAIC.

The description of the M/F chastisement doesn't exactly match the model described in the original Plan--wives were to undergo only handspankings and I don't believe there was any mention of cornertime or restraints--so this couple has obviously updated it, modifying the details to match their own situation by making it somewhat more severe, quite a bit more embarrassing and rather ritualistic. The formalized 'pronouncement of sentence' is an interesting addition to the Plan, apparently designed to make the marital miscreant more keenly aware of the seriousness of his/her impending discipline. One aspect of Ms. Spenser's original approach that is demonstrated in this story was that males were to be corporally corrected in a more intensive manner than females, and the two differing sentences--the M/F one at the story's beginning and the F/M one at its conclusion--do reflect that gender-based discrepancy in punitive severity.

These spouses do seem to live a bit on the edge, the wife's "carelessness" sets the kitchen on fire and later the husband engages in "road rage" (which is generally considered to be physically confrontational behavior and often outright assault)--it makes me wonder if their mutual practice of the Spenser Spanking Plan is not only strengthening their marriage but also keeping them alive and/or out of prison...

Barrister

This was an interesting story although the writing was a bit staccato. Interesting to see turn-about being fair play.

This Spencer Plan sounds quite judicial and formalized. Good story incorporating a balanced domestic discipline relationship. Interesting seeing both husband and wife punished for offenses. Generally it's just one or the other.

I wanted to like this story as I have something of a fascination with the Spencer Plan and the perv-vy suburban 1950s - 1960s it always seems to evoke (for me anyway). Unfortunately there wasn't much to this story, especially for one in the human drama category. There's no emotional connection to either of the characters and no real sense of how "the plan" affects their lives together. Still, it's always good to see the mythical Spencer Plan remembered.
