The summer Short Story Contest (SSC) is a long-standing tradition on soc.sexuality.spanking (SSS), and alt.sex.spanking (ASS) before it. This year's contest ran between June 1 and August 31. An archive of all of the stories entered in the contest is available here, along with reviews and results.

This year's contest was held in memory of Alex Birch, a long-time poster - and great friend - to the group, who died in February this year. He loved the SSC, and was an enthusiastic supporter, both helping to organise it and typically writing a huge range of stories each year. His friends on the group miss him, and we'd like this year's contest to help remember him in a small way. To that end, one of the categories this year is "Remembering Alex Birch".
