I almost put this in the line category but it is not exactly the specified line.  It is, IMHO, a groaner.

Corner Chat

By

Y Lee Coyote <YLeeCoyote@juno.com>

She stood in a corner by herself and talked to Nobody.

That got her into spanking trouble again.

Her mother heard her explaining to her imaginary friend how unfair it was that she had been spanked so hard.

Now she was being spanked once again for talking during corner time.

Quite a charming little tale, and excellent use of the mini-saga format.  I wouldn't mind seeing this idea expanded upon (details behind the girl's relationship with her imaginary friend, why she got spanked in the first place, etc.), if the author is interested.

Great job!  I wonder if she'll go back into the corner and tell Nobody that she was spanked unfairly for talking in the corner.  Thanks!

Told a lot in fifty words.  This could really be developed into a nice size story, revealing more details.  I can't help but wonder why was she spanked the first time?  I had an imaginary friend when I was young too, who always got me in trouble.  Or that's the way I saw it at the time.  Strange how you see things differently, after you grow up.  Enjoyed your entry!
