Tommy

Tommy's mother screams, her red red mouth shaping the words Stop Frank stop!  He's just a baby!  That's enough!

Tommy's father doesn't listen or just doesn't care, holds Tommy by the scruff of the neck as his belt slashes through the air.

Tommy hates his mother more.  He is no baby.

I like this ending line. You can see these thoughts going through this kids mind. Even with few words you get a good sense of the characters, and small piece of their lives.. nicely done.

I liked this one, although I may have read more into it than intended, but in those few brief words the writer has captured a set of family values. I liked the punch line suggesting that to many men weakness is despised more than violence. My review is now probably longer than the story <g>

Whoa!!! This was fabulous. I cannot believe so much got packed into so few words. This is sooooo not my kink and yet it is probably the most powerful story I've read.

Not a huge fan of these mini-sagas. And this one just doesn't do anything for me.
