Eye of the Beholder

The Crimson Kid <CrimsnKid6@aol.com>
Conrad's already across my thighs, his six-year-old's derriere bared for my smartly-smacking hairbrush, when he states his clever defense.
"Mommy, that doll I smashed looked like a monster. An evil-mirror piece got caught in my eye, like in THE SNOW QUEEN!"
"The story's cure--remember, sweetie? Crying plenty of tears..."

This is delightful. Although I personally hate it when parents are smarter than kids, this one has such a nice twist of bonding. Well told with such a few words!

This is a cute story. I enjoy the details like the «smartly smacking hairbrush». The last line also leaves a thought in your mind as the story ends...

Very cute. I liked the way the parent and child can still talk to each other even during a punishment, and the light hearted way they banter. Thanks for sending this along.

Interesting. This could maybe be a more developed piece.
