Asking Release

By

Jodi <ladiejj@webtv.net>

She craves the release that he brings her. Another blow, her tears begin to fall.

You capture the mood here quite well, and there's clearly a lot of relationship behind the words that we see. I like this brief vignette, without all of the filler that so often comes with a story. You managed to pare a classic story line down to just a few dozen words. Good job!

This is almost like an Oriental poem. An inner landscape of the heart, frozen in time by the deft strokes of the scholar's brush. Oh. Did I remember to say I liked it?

In so few words the characterization becomes all too clear. What a rhetorical way to get what she wants. But does she get more than she desires?
