The Mechanic This is a remarkable work of Homoerotic Science Fiction. Not only is it one of the best pieces of homoerotic fiction I've ever read but also could easily stand separately as a classic of Sci-Fi literature. It is the story of a mature man in his middle sixties who is a 'Good Samaritan' to an alien whose space ship is forced to make an unscheduled landing due to a mechanical malfunction. He repairs the ship but will accept no payment in return for his help; however, the alien insist he will be repaid for his kindness.
