Intro: Actually, I think I
have a lot of stuff on the main site that should be classified 'Hardcore' but if
I did that, and moved those stories...What would be left over there? So this
will have to be new stuff, maybe a little universe all my own. Well, Dudley's
too, and I need to make that introduction right now.
I
was on Dalnet, which I do for 2 or 3 hours, Monday through Saturday, when this
guy asks me if I'm the rache with all the stories. I said yeah, maybe, and
hopefully I really am that rache he was thinking of. Anyway, it turns out this
fella is an artist. A real one, which is always cool because I can't draw
anything, let alone paint or sculpt or whatever. And his art is sweet, let me
tell you. I like it a lot, which was good because he sent me a lot! A hundred
pictures, mostly sketches, but some colored stuff and a few photo-manipulations.
So I asked him where his web site was and he confessed he
didn't have one, which seems awfully suspicious to me since I think his drawings
are every bit as good if not better than 99% of all the Death Fetish art I've
seen. And that includes guys like Dolcett, for example, whose work I am a huge
fan of. Thus I took it upon myself to promote this guy, because that's what
friends, and fans, are for, right? So, short of me getting off my lazy butt and
pestering all my rich uncles with their big websites for some free space, I
decided I'd better make something of my own here.
Now in order not to abuse ASSTR and their generosity I
need to put some words with the pictures. I mean it is a TEXT repository, not an
art gallery. They don't mind some illustrations, but we have to be both
reasonable and respectful of their time, effort, and budget. So I am doing that
the only way I know how, by writing. And I have a lot to write, tons of stuff
really, if I'm going to justify posting even half of Dudly's pictures here. And
I have a big site already, and a lot of projects already. I feel like a grad
student, for crying out loud...oh, wait...I am a grad student. So, I guess I
should be pretty freakin good at this huh?
Okay, so if you made it past the warnings it means you
want the hard stuff. So what is that? Here's the lowdown:
Dudly
's art (it seems to me) captures a place where
things are a little different. Twisted Reality, so to speak. Which is way cool,
because I'm a professional liar and the bigger the lie the better. So I'm making
a place where it's perfectly okay to snuff your girlfriend, or your wife or
husband. You can rape the little preteen girl next door, cut off her hands and
keep them in your pockets. The world is sort of the same, but sort of different
too. Weapons of mass destruction come in flavors like the 'TAG Virus' which
sterilizes entire populations. How cool is that? Much better than nuking
someone, in my humble opinion. The United States is still here, but there's a
few changes. Like a good old fashioned 'One Party' political system, ala the
National Socialist...Don't you miss those snazzy uniforms? Geez those Nazi's
knew how to dress!
Anyway, you get the idea. Now, how I'm going to organize
and present all this material is still being worked out., but hey...Rest assured
that I am on top of it. Working tirelessly night and day to figure out exactly
what I want to say and how I want to say it. Any questions? If you have some,

make that available as well and I really, really want you to drop him a line and
tell him what you think of his work, okay? Especially if you like it as much as
I do, he deserves some serious credit.

What have I got so far? Well, here's some background which
I'm sort of writing first simply because I have to know what the hell is going
on before my characters can start talking about it, although a lot of background,
75% of it will come through the stories. It always does.

And yes, I have written one story already. A quick one
that I typed really fast and have yet to edit. There's some pacing problems, but
that's all really. The dialogue is what I wanted to hear, so I'm happy with that
although I need to add a bit more and tighten it up. But for now the story says
what it needs to and I'm in a rush to get something on the ether just so I can
get an idea of what I'm looking at..

Okay...I guess that's the way this page will go, for now
at least. Intro, Background, and Stories. I want to do background as standalone,
of course, and the stories will be linked somehow, most of them only loosely I
would imagine, with small references, reappearing characters, and the like. That
should work out well, don't you think. Probably I'm trying to do too much too
fast, as always, but when you're as paranoid as I am you hate to procrastinate
on anything.
