Story Summary

The story of Incest Island started with Ryan Miller's young family exploring family love while on a sailing trip in the Bahamas in FAMILY LOVE BOAT. If you have not read all of the stories, I suggest that you start with the first chapter of Family Love Boat and continue through Incest Island.

Family Love Boat is a tender and intensely sexual story about sexual discovery and first time experiences. It was during that trip the Miller family met Ted and Dr. Amy Taylor and became very close to their family. Ted ended up buying an island and inviting Ryan and his family and 12 other families to join his family on Incest Island.

About half of the island families were gathered at the beach club for breakfast discussing the latest on the progress of the Breeder children, when William Wong called for quiet. A small television mounted in the corner showing Headline News was breaking the live story of a terrible earthquake. The epicenter was in a remote region near the Russian Federation. In the populated areas, very few buildings were left standing and the death toll was staggering. Conversation quickly died as the gravity of the situation was reported.

Granddad Rich, Ted, Amy and a few of the others glumly sipped their coffee as they listened to the devastation. The International Red Cross and the Russian Federation had set up field hospitals within hours, but were plainly overwhelmed by the scope of the disaster. The clock was ticking. For the few beleaguered survivors trapped by impassable roads in the mountain areas, hope was fading fast.

It was Simon who first suggested that they try to help. He explained that the plane was originally designed by the military for short take off and landing situations under rough conditions. It was true that the islanders were a small group, but such a small group could get in and out easily and make a critical difference. The islanders headed with purpose to Ted Taylor's office where he brought up real-time satellite images of the country. Simon had studied the region on his own laptop and suggested that Ted zoom in a particularly remote area.

-There, he said pointing at the screen, northeast of Kharkiv in Ukraine. Far from any of the humanitarian efforts, but nearly in the epicenter of the devastation stood a town of 7,000 souls. Simon had Ted zoom the image back out to a broader view and spotted what he was looking for.

-Right there! he shouted. At the screen's edge, was what appeared to be an old runway. They zoomed in and found that a World War II era air base that still had a few ancient hangers still standing. They saw that there was a small Cessna single engine plane tied down at the side of the runway. As Simon began to study the runway in detail, Ted contacted the Red Cross and offered their services. Dr. Amy made a list of food and medical supplies.

Ted used his military contacts to find a source of prepackaged rations. For political reasons, the US military could not land directly in the area, but a small independent operation like theirs could. A depot located in Jacksonville, Florida could supply 300 MRE's (military Meals Ready to Eat) and the Commanding officer offered 300 cases of water, surplus field hospital equipment and tents as well.

Simon and Randy Garcia began checking weight and planning the flight plan. Randy's lover Jessie led all the available teenage boys in removing the bulk of the plane's seats, converting it to a cargo configuration. Simon called ahead to the depot and insured that they had netting and tie downs for them to secure the cargo. Randy and Simon stowed inflatable mattresses so that they could fly around the clock and take the necessary rest periods. All that was left was to choose eight volunteers to make the trip. The Garcias would fly the aircraft while Ted and Amy would handle logistics and the temporary medical equipment. Ryan Miller, Jack Smith, and intrepid teens Mike and Zach would all lend their strong backs. Saying their goodbyes to family and friends, the small band was airborne in less than two hours.

They settled in for a grueling flight. Their plane was a wonderful workhorse but not very fast. It took almost 20 hours and 2 fuel stops before they were flying through the mountains of northeast Ukraine. As the sun rose, Randy pointed ahead at the village airstrip and they lowered their flaps for descent. Randy keyed the intercom and told everyone that they were going to do a couple of low passes over the town, so that they would know what was in store for them. Mike and Zach shared a look of concern as the plane banked.

The devastation was horrible. Very few structures were left standing. As the villagers saw the plane, they waved frantically for help. Simon waggled the wings to signal to them that he saw them. As he reached the opposite edge of town, Simon climbed out and banked for another pass over the city. Making his final approach, he began his descent to the runway. It was cracked with grass growing in spots, but looked reasonably smooth. The wheels touched and squealed as he hit the brakes and the heavy plane used every bit of the runway. At least fifty people gathered to greet them as he taxied back to the end of the runway closest to town.

Fractured pleas rang out from the crowd as they lowered the ramp to the plane's hold and Ted shouted out for anyone who spoke English. Through the tumult, a strong barrel-chested man introduced himself as Anton. He was a schoolteacher and spoke broken English. The Islanders began quickly lowering cases of water in a daisy chain as Ted got the latest news from Anton. He was the brother of the mayor who was lost when the town hall collapsed in the quake. He had been doing a yeoman's job of directing the rescue efforts in absence of any civil authority, but two full days had passed and the survivors were losing hope. Anton struggled to fight back his tears as he told Ted that almost a third of the town's 7,500 people were killed or missing.

-I'm going to call the Red Cross and let them know about your status, but we have food and medical supplies and fresh water, Ted said. It was the first piece of good news that Anton had had in two days. He hugged Ted in his strong arms and kissed him on both cheeks in gratitude.

The local clinic had collapsed, but two doctors and three trained nurses were able to help Amy and the island team set up the field hospital. As the medical staff began triaging the wounded, Hank, Ryan and the boys loaded three trucks with the food and water and drove into town with Anton.

The devastation was even worse than they imagined. In a small clearing in the center of the village, they set up a large tent and began storing the supplies there. Nearby, Ryan Miller noticed an old parish priest kneeling near a collapsed building sobbing as he said his rosary. The old man looked bent and broken by the devastation. He told Ted in very broken English that this was the town orphanage. It had only recently been completed and now it lay in ruins. He haltingly explained that the children ranged in age from 5 to 9. They had managed to find homes for the infants and toddlers, but the older ones were much harder to place. Two old nuns that had cared for the children, but they were all lost when the building collapsed. As the two men stood silently surveying the tragedy around them, they heard the muffled sound of a little girl crying.

It was a miracle, nothing short of a miracle.

It took thirty strong men digging for several hours stripped to the waist, but they found them. Fourteen small children were alive and trapped for two full days in a spared corner of the basement. One by one, they loaded the crying children into the trucks and rushed them to the airport field hospital. Zach, Mike, Jessie and Randy carried the children in for Amy and the local medics to examine.

There were two broken arms and one badly sprained ankle, but otherwise they were in remarkably good shape considering the Hell they had been through. They were dehydrated and terrified though and Mike and Zach tended to them freeing the doctors to return to the critical cases that were coming in by the minute. The old priest helped the boys care for and feed the children, speaking softly in Russian to soothe them after their ordeal.

-I prayed for two days and nights nonstop for a miracle for you all, he told the children. I had given up, my faith almost shattered, when these men arrived. He paused to compose himself.

-I had no idea of who they were... only that they were the gift from God that I had been praying for. Fourteen beautiful, little faces turned and beamed at their Heaven sent benefactors.

Later that night Anton, Ted, Jack and the priest sat around a campfire talking about how they came to be together. One little girl with her arm in a sling woke up in a panic from another horrible nightmare. Her name was Vera and she was only six years old. Jack picked her up and gently rocked her in his arms speaking in a soothing voice. Even though she could not understand a word of what he said, she knew she was safe. She held him tight with her good arm, begging that he never let her go.

Anton translated with tears in his eyes, thinking that the priest may be right. These people really are the children's guardian angel.

-So caring and for little ones you do not even know...

Jack smiled and explained that he and sister were adopted by Grandpa Rich and saved from a terrible fate. He went on to tell about how the Smiths were kind-hearted and had many, many adopted children. They all lived happily now on their island home in the Caribbean.

Anton's mouth gaped in surprise. He pulled the priest aside and they conferred quietly for a few minutes. They returned to Jack and Ted resolute.

-Is there any chance you could find a safe home for these children, he old priest asked. It would take so long to get our government's approval and then there is the problem with US Immigration...

-We live on a private island that is close to the Bahamas, Ted said. We make our own laws and we can admit whoever we please.

The mayor and the priest were both astounded.

-And you could find them all homes... with people like you... who would love them.

-Oh yes... all of them, Jack told him and Ted nodded in agreement.

Zach and Mike had been kicking around a soccer ball with Oleg and Katarina Vasiliev. Oleg was a 7 year old with boy with blond curls and intense brown eyes. Kat was his 5 year old sister. Both orphans were winsomely pretty. When Zach heard what Jack had said his eyes lit up and he scooped them into each arm.

-I think that's a yes, Zach said with a laugh and he hugged them back. Ryan rushed over and wrapped his arms around Zach and the children.

The priest, Anton and several of the townspeople gathered and spoke among themselves. When the priest came back he told them that it would be best for the children if no one knew that they left for the island. They will only complicate this and maybe make it impossible. Please take them and leave in the morning before the government officials arrive.

 

At dawn, the children boarded the plane with the islanders and it raced down the runway. Out the windows, they saw a convoy of government and Red Cross trucks arrive just as they heard the rumble of the landing gear folding up in the belly of the plane. They were heading home and they were bringing fourteen new friends.

The children spent much of the flight trying to rest on the air mattresses and recover from their ordeal. But, their sleep was fitful. Hurt and scared and for their first flight in an airplane, they couldn't sleep until Zach and Mike agreed to lie down with them and assure them everything would be alright.

Zach snuggled up with 4 of the kids and showed them pictures of their new island home on his digital camera. One of the 9 year olds, a skinny blonde waif named Sbrovy started to giggle when he saw pictures of the kids swimming naked in the lagoon. All four looked closer, discussing the image in Russian and seemed to come to some agreement, but Zach had no way of knowing what it was. Nella began setting up small mounds of brightly colored vegetables around their perimeters while Maggie drained the canned chickpeas in the sink. Mary risked a peak under the lid and thought the couscous could use another few minutes. She darted off to the walk-in for fresh parsley and cilantro.

-Yes, Sally tells me that the girls almost ready to go, Nella continued. Most have at least one challenge behind them. Though, I think Charlotte Jackson's girl is still trying. Nella rounded a small mound of finely diced red pepper on the edge of a platter and popped a piece in her mouth as she went back for the next ingredient.

-Hmmm. Lily Jackson? Amy mused as she rinsed off the fresh herbs from the fridge. -Colt Smith is having a hard time too, Nella added. They paused and then lapsed into a grim silence.

The door opened and Ryan Miller came in with Mary's son William Wong, Tom Gibson and three of the Smith clan that Mary had not been introduced to yet.

-Ah come in! Come in! I'll be with you gentlemen in a moment and you can help carry up the serving trays, Mary said. Oh, and Ryan, I hear Noah is leading the pack in the challenges. Congratulations!

Smiling, he waved his thanks and stood back with the men out of their way.

-It will all work out, Mary said lifting the great kettle with two white heat towels, you'll see. This Insemination Celebration will become the stuff of legends.

The couscous was fluffy and suffused with the fragrant stock. She began mounding great spoonfuls in the center of the platter and gestured to Maggie to start the sauce. The volunteers craned their necks to watch the golden mountain of pearl pasta grow by heaping spoonfuls and it gave off succulent steam as it settled.
