Michael Collins' Anthology.)
In June, while on vacation, I had an opportunity to re-read some
of my earlier stories that I had posted some years back, and quickly
came to the conclusion (in my eyes) that they were utter and complete
pieces of garbage. Now, I've heard from some of you, and
based on your comments that certainly isn't the case in everyone's
eyes; but it certainly is in mine.
Therefore, I've taken it upon myself to actually re-write most
of these stories, which is going to be painstaking; and for The
Michael Collins' Anthology, this also involves some minor character
changes, too.
You see, the original
version started out as a short-story, then turned into an amalgamation
of fan-fiction from a variety of different sources, but most specifically
the book Not Quite Human (where a lot of the characters
come from), and The New Outer Limits.
But, the more I wrote, the more the characters evolved, and a
universe of their own was created. Therefore, I've decided
to actually change the names of two of the principal (though not
primary) characters.
With this re-write, Chip & Becky are no more, having been
replaced by David & Sarah; and with this comes the requirement
to actually re-write an entire chapter. "Honey Dew," was
actually written by a fellow ASFR author, "DB_Story." His
original chapter will remain with the original version of this
story, but I'll have to re-write it completely for this version.
It is my intent that this version will offer you a more
indepth look into the characters, with greater imagery, and more
detailed character depth. It's not as graphic as the original
version, but I hope this will also help your imagination create
your own characters. In addition, the plot-line has been
cleaned up a bit, with certain elements deleted which were overall
distracting.
Please let me know your feedback above. Am I going in the
write [sic] direction?
