Chapter 51

"Merita and Maia, this is Brundolo and he has come with us to learn about the horses." I told them, knowing that he would be getting a low priority from my mates in a few seconds.

"These women are now my mates also. This is Margeeta and her daughters Yareela and Yaroola. This is Kota and this is Eileiea. Eileiea is a healer and I'm sure she will be busy soon.

"My new mates this is Merita and Maia." I finally finished.

Merita and Maia were polite to Brundolo and both of them greeted him, then they were among my new mates with vigor. They hugged and kissed the cheeks of each one of them and were about to get a hen party started until I spoke up.

"Why don't we get them into our cave before the whole camp is out here. I don't think that they are especially tired from our trip but I want to sit down. They made me run most of the way." That last bit caused a look of concern on all the new women's faces and I was sure that they were about to start apologizing.

"Don't worry about it, the run was good for me and I was only making a joke. You'll find out that I try to make them often but like this one, they usually aren't very funny. We do need to get into the cave quickly though before the others all come out here."

Since we had run all the fucking way from their cave I didn't see any need not to run the rest of the way. It would look a little strange in our camp but at least it would let everyone know that we intended to get there promptly. I didn't intend to slow down until I had my ass in a chair and was waiting for some coffee. The rest followed my lead and ran too, even Merita and Maia.

I could see as I ran by that many of the men were working on the bridge and was surprised that it lacked only a raft or two to be complete. Most of them looked up as we were passing and I noticed Raalto, Racaato, Caato and Barago were looking as hard as anybody. This was no time to stop and explain though.

When we entered all my other mates were there and I decided to make the rest of the introductions before I sat down.

"My mates; come and meet my new mates." I said.

"I told you all that he would be bringing more than one mate back with him. The bed grew so much that even the bedroom had to expand to make room for it." Gema announced; the growing bed couldn't slip anything by her anymore.

I herded the new girls and Brundolo into a line and started with the bewildered boy again then I went to each of my new mates and told the others their names. After that I asked my other mates to introduce themselves to each of the new arrivals in turn. I also asked if there was any coffee before I turned them out. They said there was and Jaada came to me, kissed me on the lips and said that she would get me a mug while the others were getting started.

I went to the table, sat down and she brought it right away. I gave her another kiss when she did but left her alone to go get acquainted.

Looking back at the conflagration let me know that the initial greetings were about over and when they were the new mates were surrounded by their well wishers and would probably be hugged and kissed raw. Brundolo was being ignored already so I called him over to sit with me.

"They aren't being rude to you Brundolo or at least they don't mean to be, they are excited over my new mates. I hope it doesn't make supper late." I told him.

He didn't even have time to reply before Danlo's, Nadlo's, Georgo's, Jonoco's and Talvo's mates entered in a bunch from their quarters. They had probably heard the squealing and come to investigate; now they were adding to the commotion. I hoped that my new mates wouldn't be traumatized and I'm sure that there were never impromptu hen parties like this in their former camp.

Luckily Danlo came in to try and satisfy his curiosity just then.

"Danlo you're just the man I wanted to see." I said as he approached us.

"This is Brundolo and he has returned with me to learn a little about the horses. We will be going back tomorrow to get my new mates' belongings also. Would you take Brundolo down to the horse cave and let him watch you hitch the big wagon?"

"I will be happy to." Danlo said.

"Good, even though he won't be using a wagon any time soon it will also help if you explain what you are doing as you go along. We will be giving him plenty of time with a travois horse tomorrow. When you have the wagon hitched please drive it up to my cave and then let him come in and get me. I want my new mates to see what a wagon and team are all about."

"It won't take long and then we will be back." Danlo said.

I could tell that things were moving pretty fast for Brundolo but I knew he would catch on. I finally had a few minutes to relax and sip my coffee. I finished my first mug and as I was about to get up and get a refill I saw Jaada heading toward me.

"Don't worry my mate, even in the excitement we will make sure that you are cared for." She told me with the sweetest smile on her face.

"I would have understood perfectly if you had stayed with the crowd."

"I know you would have but there is only so much room around five women for over twenty to get close. I'm sure that your new mates are wonderful but I'm also sure that we will have plenty of time to get to know each other." She said as she set my refilled mug back down and gave me a tender kiss.

"I know it's exciting for everyone but our ways are completely different from what they are accustomed to. I hope that they aren't getting nervous about the clamor."

"I'm afraid that they might be, a little at least. I will pull Geera aside when I go back and tell her what you said." Jaada said and left to rejoin the throng.

Jaada was trying to get Geera's attention and then did, barely a minute before Brundolo came back in. Geera was breaking up the gathering while Brundolo was telling me that the wagon and team were outside.

I went to my new mates and gathered them up for a little show and tell as Geera, Dalia, Shelalliea and Dieta headed for the kitchen to finish getting supper ready, at least I hoped they only needed to finish. It would be a sad thing if they were just getting started.

Margeeta and all the others were clubbed by culture shock again when we left the cave and they saw the four Giant Clydesdales hitched to the big wagon. They were too stunned to even ask questions so I took the lead and gave them a thorough explanation as I did a walk around for their benefit.

After a good tell I mounted the seat and coaxed them all up onto the seat for the show part. When they were all seated, including Brundolo, I gave the reins a flick across the giant horses' asses and we were off. They were frightened at first but once they discovered that no harm was coming to them they seemed thrilled.

"At first I was afraid John but this is grand. We are moving fast but all we have to do is sit here and watch the ground go by." Eileiea said, smiling.

"You can see now why I told you not to worry about carrying your things. I think there will be plenty of room for them in here, don't you?"

"There will be much more than enough room for all of our things, even bringing all the skins and furs that Kota has." Margeeta said.

"This is the way I like to run." I told them as the team trotted upriver with ease.

When we came to the ramp I slowed and steered the team up it. They were all quiet as we climbed to the top and then pulled out onto level ground. There was a large herd of bison about three miles across the plateau from us and a fairly large band of horses only about a mile and a half distant.

"Now you can see why I have no trouble feeding so many mates, in fact I have done most of the hunting for the whole camp so far." I bragged a little.

"But I still can not understand how you kill them without a spear. It is usually easy to find bison but it is often hard to kill them." Kota said.

"I have a special way of killing them that makes it easy, even without a spear. We do not have time to hunt tomorrow because we will be going back for your things. I will hunt soon though, to show you how it is done. Maybe we can do it the next day." I told them.

I turned the wagon around then and headed back to my cave and the trip down the ramp was more of a thrill for them than the trip up it had been. I stopped the wagon at the bottom to have a little talk.

"I know that meeting my other mates has been strange to you since I think that so much talking does not usually go on in the camp you came from. My other mates are very excited and very pleased to have you joining us and you can be sure that they all care for you already. Please try to remember that they just want to get to know you." I told them.

"It was frightening at first and you are right that in our old camp we did not talk nearly so much in a week as we have since we got here, especially with men around and the camp's leader at that. At first I thought that your mates were being disrespectful to you but later I could tell that disrespect for you would be the last thing they put forth." Margeeta said.

"That is the truth, as far as they are concerned you are the reason the sun rises in the morning." Eileiea said.

"I'm glad to hear it but it isn't really the case, I'm just a man like any other."

"You are a man but you are not like any other." Kota said and the others all agreed much to my embarrassment.

I started the team back toward camp and even urged them into a short lope; bad form with such large horses but it was fun for a change and I'll admit that I wanted to show off a little.

Danlo was waiting near the entrance to my cave when we got back. He took over the team and Brundolo went with him to unhitch and put the wagon and team up for the night. My new mates and I went back inside. I'd noticed that the bridge seemed finished now and that the work crew had disbanded.

The smell of food was wonderful when we were back inside. My new mates were distressed again though.

"We should have stayed to help make your meal instead of riding off in that wagon. It was very exciting but we have neglected our duty to our new mate." Kota said.

"Nonsense, I might as well tell you now that all of my mates do not get to cook everyday. I have many mates and I couldn't possibly hope to eat all that they could cook. In fact it only takes a few of them to cook for all of those that help me as leader and all their mates. My main helpers mate's hardly ever get to cook." I told them.

"You mean that many more men than you eat here in your cave?" Yaroola asked.

"For almost every meal my main helpers and their mates eat at my table."

"What is a table?" Yareela asked then.

"It is where we eat. There is room for many to sit and eat at my table." I told them, pointing to it.

"Come, let us sit down and wait for the others and for our food."

"We don't want the others to think that we are lazy, are you sure that we don't need to help?" Eileiea asked.

"I am sure, look at the kitchen and you will see that many of my other mates are not cooking either. There is not room for all of you there at one time."

"There isn't even a fire, how are they cooking without one." Kota asked.

"They will show you everything after we get back from our trip to your camp. Do not worry; it will be easy to learn. They have all just learned lately how to cook this way themselves."

I was finally able to get them to sit down and chairs were another novelty for them. I sat at the head of the table, the one nearest the kitchen. I had my new mates sit three on one side and two on the other, mostly so they could have me to watch if they wondered about how we ate.

"John, are we going to eat here with you?" Eileiea asked.

"Yes, I hope you will."

"But you are a man and the leader too. We are not so important to be sitting and eating with you." Margeeta said.

"That is one thing that you are incorrect about. You are my mates and nothing is more important to me than you are. Do not forget that. No one will be allowed to bother you; I will not stand for it. If someone shows disrespect to any of my mates they are showing disrespect to me and I can be very disrespectful in return."

"Now I see why you were so upset when Daldo fondled Yareela before we left." Yaroola said.

"It was not only that but that was enough. I would not allow such treatment of any woman in my camp. Men who think women are to be abused should make a point never to come into my sight. The very idea of it makes my blood boil. Where would we get new babies without women? Besides, it is hard enough to live without injuries and there is no sense in letting some fool cause them just because he feels like it. If a man wants to abuse something around me he should take his weapon and go abuse some game so that he can bring it back to feed himself and others."

I could see that this was a foreign idea to them and they were all speechless after my rant. I hoped they understood that they should tell me if they even saw any woman being hurt here. I doubted that they would get a chance to see such a thing though since I was sure that everyone that lived here surely knew better by now.

Daaggo was the first of the men to appear and he was headed for a seat near the other end of the table even though I could see from the way he looked toward us that he was dying to meet my new mates.

"Daaggo, come up and sit with us, I'd like to introduce you to my new mates." I said to him, trying to make it sound like a request and not a command.

He perked up right away and took a seat next to Yareela or Yaroola; hopefully I would learn to tell them apart soon but I couldn't yet.

I made the introductions and then tried to be quiet. Surprisingly Daaggo was able to get them to talk a little after a minute or two. I could tell that he understood at once how they must feel and he did a good job helping to put them at ease and making them feel welcome.

Raalto and his band were in next and Raalto didn't hesitate to come up to us and find a seat. I made a short introduction for everyone but I nearly flubbed the name of Raalto's newest mate. Camalieta seemed a shy one also and since she had come to Raalto after he's had to kill Dutotto, when we'd surprised their spying trip, she hadn't been here long herself.

I was tired of introductions already but I knew that it was my duty, both to my new mates and to my helpers and their mates. I was able to pull it off though and soon everyone was seated with a mug of beer, they thought it was bruga of course. I'd asked my mates to serve it tonight with our meal since I hoped I could get my newest mates to relax a little by getting some of it into them.

Danlo and Brundolo had been the last two to show up and of course I'd had to go over all the names again for Brundolo. I didn't mind it any more than he did though. He was embarrassed and red faced for nearly the entire ordeal; I was betting that he would never be late for supper again.

My mates had outdone themselves tonight. We had thick bison steaks, baked potatoes, Ranch Style beans and even corn on the cob. The corn was new for everyone and of course it had come from Argent and his bunch. It was delicious and I could tell at once that it had been roasted instead of boiled. I was also sure that it had been still on the stalk this morning; it was that fresh.

My new mates and all the others were baffled by the corn. I had another show and tell on the way. Thankfully Argent and company had also provided the corn holders so I started by showing them how these were installed, then telling them to slather the corn with butter and then douse it liberally with salt.

I only had to show my new mates about fixing the baked potato since everyone else except Brundolo had eaten them before. I was sure that Danlo would clue Brundolo in.

It was a little strange that all my mates, except the new ones, had to find seats farther down the table because everyone else had tried to get up near the new arrivals. I knew that this behavior would be cured soon but even though I had my new mates near me I was lonesome for the others that had to eat away from me. Then I realized that the bed wasn't the only thing that had grown. My dinner table had added space and more chairs were here now also.

We didn't talk about much of anything that had gone on in camp while I'd been away. I did take time to thank the men for getting the bridge finished and asked them how it felt to walk across the water.

"No one has gone across it yet, we are waiting for you to make the first trip." Raalto said.

"Well I'm honored that you thought of me."

"It isn't so much for the honor, we just want to make sure that it really will work and since it was your idea we thought that you should take the first chance." Raalto said and everyone except Brundolo and my new mates laughed.

"I can assure you that it will work fine and I think we should take the lights out after supper and let me try it out." I told them when the laughter died down.

Of course Margeeta, Yareela, Yaroola, Kota and Eileiea looked to me for explanation. I simply told them that the bridge would let us walk across the river without getting wet. I could tell that they would have to witness this before they believed it.

After supper Dalia came and asked the newbies if they would like to see how to feed the dishwashers. They were up at once, obviously wanting to discover how anything here operated. I watched them walk toward the kitchen and noticed that there were now five dishwashers instead of the three that had been here when I'd left. Argent had been busy during my absence. Watching though, I saw that five and maybe more were needed after feeding this crowd tonight.

Danlo, Nadlo and Jonoco took Brundolo with them to get the big lights that Argent had sent for the night we'd surprised the spies. My new mates watched my other mates, except Jaada, feed the dishwashers. Jaada was getting me a mug of coffee and I was glad to see that she seemed to be bringing one for herself. She was and she gave me a kiss, set down my coffee and then sat in the nearest chair to me.

"You are amazing John, do you know that?" She asked as she sat down.

"I'm glad that you think so Jaada but I don't feel that way, I do feel lucky to have so many beautiful mates though."

"You are amazing and more. You left to get one mate and you came back with five. You told us it would be a surprise but we didn't dream that it could be nearly as surprising as it is. How did you ever think of going to their camp to find mates?" She asked.

"Georgo got me started thinking about it but not on purpose. I was asking him about the other people once and part of what he told me was a story of two men like us, from far away, coming to their camp and trading salt for mates. In their camp the women have no say regarding who their mates will be.

"I have been thinking about it since he told me. If there were women who could be my mates for only some salt I had to go and see if for myself."

"Salt is very valuable and very rare everywhere but here John but I didn't know about their customs. It seems strange to me that the women would have no say in who they were mated to." Jaada said.

"It is strange to me too Jaada but it isn't strange to them. They have always done it that way. I'm not sure it is for the best either. Even Grotondo, their leader, has learned to consult his mate before making those decisions now. She is the one that suggested that I trade for Margeeta even though I'd already come to the same decision. You know who decided that I should ask to trade for her daughters too."

"I know who? I don't know who, who else was with you?" She asked, slightly alarmed now.

I didn't say anything at first; I just looked down at dicky, who was making a lump in my trousers, as usual.

"John you are so funny sometimes, I surely do know who now and I can't wait to tell the others." Jaada said, laughing then and giving dicky a squeeze.

"Please make sure that the new ones understand completely when you tell it and try not to make it sound like you disapprove." I said.

"Don't worry, I won't tell it until we all know each other better and I won't tell it behind their backs either." She assured me.

"I knew that you wouldn't hurt their feelings on purpose but I wanted to remind you that they might not understand until they know more about my wicked ways."

"But if you only traded for Margeeta, Yareela and Yaroola how did you come to bring Kota and Eileiea too?" She asked.

"Their former mates were tired of living and I ended up relieving them of the task." I said and then told her the short version of the story.

"None of them seem the least bit sorry about it but of course none of us that were mated before feel sorry for our fate either. Even though Geera and Dieta were sad when Gigo and Dergo were killed they know that you could not have known it would happen and they are happy now to be with you. In my case I have to contain myself every morning to keep from shouting out how happy I am." She told me sincerely.

"I'm happy that you're happy to be with me." I said.

"Didn't you say that Eileiea is a healer, what does that mean exactly? I know it must mean that she can care for wounds and help with sickness but I wonder just how much she can help with."

"I'm sure that she will be very helpful to you when your baby is ready to come Jaada." I said and she was surprised but then seemed about to get ticked off.

"Who told you? They all said that they would keep my secret until I told you." She said.

"No one told me, I guessed it and you just confirmed it. I am very happy about it too, very happy." I said and pulled her out of the chair and into my lap.

Her flash of temper was gone when I wrapped my arms around her and she snuggled up against me.

"I am so happy that sometimes I feel I might burst. I have wanted a baby for a long time and now I will have one; we will have one. I was worried that there was no one here who knew much about birthing and you have gone away and brought back someone that surely knows how to help." She said and gave me a dreamy look.

"That is my job Jaada, my purpose is to make sure that you and all my mates, all my camp in fact, have everything that they need."

Danlo broke up our tender moment then by coming and announcing that they had the lights and that everyone in the camp was out waiting to see if I would be able to get across the river by using the new bridge. Jaada got up and then I led her outside holding her hand in mine as I walked up. I took her with me all the way up to the begining of the bridge where I stopped to address everyone. Georgo was standing near and I'm sure that he had been asking the spirits to bless us. No doubt Argent was going to see to it.

"I am happy to be the first to cross the bridge and I have another happy announcement. Jaada has just told me that she will be having a baby soon and it will be the first child for us." I said and everyone roared their approval.

I let go of Jaada's hand then and stepped onto the bridge. This brought the cheering to a stop, as everyone got quiet to watch. Of course there was nothing to it. The logs that the rafts were made of were so big that I felt sure we could all get on it at once with no danger, hell we could probably have the Clydesdales on it too if they would step up without a fuss.

I walked over to the other side, came back to where I'd started and announced that the bridge was safe and now open for business. After that everyone seemed to want to try it. I took Jaada back inside and I saw that the rest of my mates were following me and that Brundolo was too.

I stopped and looked around a little. Brundolo probably didn't have any idea where he would be sleeping tonight and I knew for sure that he wouldn't have a clue about the bathrooms. I saw Sahto still in the crowd and called him over to me. When he got there I asked him to show Brundolo where the unmated men slept and how to navigate the bathrooms. He was quick to agree and actually seemed glad to have the task. He and Brundolo left, walking to the bridge and making probably the first useful crossing.

When we were back in our cave I looked around to make sure that it was only my mates and I.

"Well girls we are alone now and I'm sure that most of you will be happy to know that I'm not a bit tired, even after my long day and the long run. I feel great except that I need a nice hot bath. Why don't the rest of you show my newest mates how the bathroom works and then we will all get into the big tub, turn on the bubbles and relax."

All but my new mates thought this was a grand idea and I knew the new ones didn't have any idea what I was talking about. I left the women alone to explain the bathrooms to the newbies and I went to the kitchen and got another beer. I sat at the table with it and for the first time in a long time wished that I had a big cigar. I decided to try just asking aloud to see if Argent was listening and maybe if he was he could fix me up.

"I sure wish I had a nice big Cuban cigar about now." I said.

I nearly laughed when one popped into existence near my right hand; a Cohiba Esplendidos and along with it came a big ashtray, a box of wooden matches and a cigar guillotine. After I had it trimmed and going I settled in to enjoy it.

I had finished the beer but wasn't even halfway done with the cigar when Delia returned from the bathroom tour to fetch me. At first I was going to beg off to finish but then I thought what the hell, I could probably have one any time I wanted it. I went to one of the sinks and sent it down the disposal.

I could see as we went back toward the bathroom that my newest mates were baffled again. They would probably get over it soon enough. When I got to the big tub I saw that there were already plenty of towels hanging nearby and that more than enough soap and shampoo was scattered around within easy reach. I began shucking my clothes and so did all but my newest mates. They were quick enough to get with the program though when they saw everyone else getting naked.

Jaada was in the water first and most of my early mates beat me in too. Of course they didn't have much to take off. They didn't even wear their mail unless we were going somewhere that would have a chance of some sort of conflict. I had mine on of course and when I was down to just my boxers and chain mail with a T-shirt under it I saw all my new mates stop and stare at me.

"What type of skin is that John?" Eileiea finally asked.

"It isn't a skin, feel it." I said, stepping closer to them so that they could all try it.

"It will protect me from attack. A spear cannot penetrate it, if someone throws a spear at me it will hurt and I will feel the blow but it cannot get through this. It is chain mail and I will have some like it for each of you soon." I explained.

Of course they wanted to know where I had found it but I had to tell them that I must keep a few secrets, even from them. I didn't really care if they knew but I didn't feel like telling any of them that the spacemen had made it for me.

I stripped it and the rest of my clothes off and since there were more than a few beautiful women already naked, dicky was standing tall by now. When I'd dropped my boxers my new mates had stopped to stare again and their attention only made my dick harder.

I was sure that all of them or at least all but Yareela and Yaroola had seen a dick before so I was a little surprised at their reaction. I had to ask them what was wrong.

"Your member John, it is so large. Since I was the healer I have seen many men's members but I have never seen one even nearly that large." Eileiea said.

"I have seen more than one myself and even though my former mate's member was larger than the ones of the men of my people it was not nearly as large as that. It looks like it might be too large for me." Margeeta admitted.

"Do not worry, you will stretch to accommodate it soon enough, and John can be very gentle if he needs to be." Maia, one of my smallest mates, told them, trying to help me out no doubt.

"But it is so large, how can we stretch so much." Kota asked sounding disappointed.

"They are correct of course, a woman can stretch enough to deliver a baby and even though it is very large it isn't even nearly as large as a baby." Eileiea told them.

"Yes but it hurts to have a baby." Margeeta said, stating the obvious.

"That is true but a baby comes at its own speed and doesn't know it is hurting its mother. I will be very careful and make sure that I do not hurt any of you. If I am hurting you all you need do is tell me and I will stop to give you more time to adjust." I told them.

"It will hurt Yareela and Yaroola the first time or two but that is always the case and I will be especially gentle with them." I said, trying to reassure them further.

"We are all being silly, he is our mate and if it hurts we will get used to it soon enough. I would rather it hurt badly every time than be with the mate that he saved me from." Eileiea said and then stepped into the tub.

The others seemed to agree almost at once and all entered leaving me as the only one that wasn't wet but I cured that soon enough.

The conversation had kept me from concentrating on getting a good look at my new playmates. I had seen that their asses were spectacular though and that all their legs were muscular and shaped divinely. Their shoulders were wider than those of my other mates and their breasts were all large, my favorites, and seemed very firm. On the whole their nipples, except for Yareela's and Yaroola's were larger and all their breasts seemed to be a little higher on their chest.

All the titties of all my mates were floating now and as always when I was in a tub full of soapy water and naked women I could hardly believe my luck. I'd probably kiss Argent's feet if he were to appear now.
