Well, it's been a while, but I have two new stories up on the website. Without any further ado, or hollow promises of further updates, I present to you:Monday, 15 March 2004 8:40 PM (GMT +8)Tight Fit, a neat little peice of flash fiction, only 300 words.
and
For the Economy, an amusing story of economic mismanagement.
Another hugely overdue update. Sadly, I'm not even posting a new story with this one, but there will some soon. I've got a bunch of drafts that need to be revised, then some of them will hit the site.Saturday, 21 February 2004 1:17 PM (GMT +8)This little update is just to say that some of my older stories have been proofread and had all the minor errors fixed. So check 'em out if you haven't already.
As you've probably noticed I've given the site yet another facelift. Should be last one for a long time. I think it's pretty slick!
Well, it took longer than I expected to get this latest one out there, but here it is:Monday, 12 January 2004 12:24 PM (GMT +8)It's a very long lesbian only story that has a list of codes as long as my arm, including anal, toys and the infamous rom. I think it's arguably my best story yet, so check it out and let me know what you think.
I tried to get a volunteer editor/proof reader to go over this before I posted it, but after a week of fruitless searching, I got impatient and posted it anyway. If anyone out there is interested in proof reading my future stories before they hit the website, let me know: baronglies@mailcan.com
And my last bit of news: I'm going to stop providing the FTP section. It's been too much bother to reformat my stories to suit plain text, and ASSTR's auto formatter mangles them anyway. I figure there's nothing wrong with the website, it's easy on the eyes and the bandwidth, and if you really want to save on bandwidth, then it's perfectly workable when you turn the images off.
So that's that. I hope I'm not disappointing to many readers with that one, perhaps if there's a major outcry I'd reconsider...
Whoo!Saturday, 27 December 2003 11:05 PM (GMT +8)Orphan Chapter 1: A Change of Pace has made #84 on ASSTR's Top 100 Downloads of the Week with 5362 loads. Probably a one off (unless someone has linked me up...), but still it's nice to see my work up there.
Well, it's been a long time in the making, but another chapter of the Orphan series is ready. A Tempting Offer is my longest chapter (or story for that matter) yet and advances the plot a little further admist all the fucking.Monday, 27 October 2003 10:27 PM (GMT +8)I've got another short story in the works, which will hopefully be up within a months time.
Another peice of flash fiction in record time. Brandy's First Bike Ride.Sunday, 26 October 2003 12:02 PM (GMT +8)
Took me no time at all to pop out a bit of flash fiction, so here it is, Going The Distance.Saturday, 25 October 2003 12:18 PM (GMT +8)I really enjoying writing this one, so expect more flash fic in the near future.
Well, once again the chapter of Orphan that I'm writing now has grown too big to be a chapter in itself, so I've cut it in half again and posted chapter three, Orphan: A World Apart.I'm a good way into the Orphan series now and I realize that I've made a very restricting decision in writing Orphan. I've committed myself to writing a series that locks me into a particular writing style. So, in an effort to deversify my style, I'm going to put Orphan on hold for a little while so I can experiment with different types of writing for a while.
It probably won't be long before I return to Orphan, as I've got a few ideas I want play out in that series, and I'm about to get a lot of free time.
In the meantime though, I'm going to try my hand at flash fiction. For the uninitiated, flash fiction are very short stories of less than five hundred words. After reading Souvie's outstanding array of flash fiction, I've been inspired to write my own. I also think it'll force me to be more creative with my language and my plots, and help shake me up a bit.
Thursday, 9 October 2003 10:00 PM (GMT +8)
If you've ever visited this site before, you've probably noticed a bit of an image change. I was going to wait until the next chapter of Orphan was ready to be posted, but I'll be pretty busy for the next six or seven weeks, so I figured I'd just do it now. There are three main improvements with this change:
1. It's a bit easier on the eyes to read black text on a white background. Font sizes of headings have also been increased for ease of reading.
2. No frames! This gives a minor increase in compatibility, and makes it easier on those who have reached pages through direct links to navigate the rest of the site.
3. Last but not least, it looks better! Not as gloomy as before, I think it seems much more welcoming.
Oh yeah, one last thing, I've added the Blackmail tag to Marion's Baby Bro: The Morning After, it really should have been in there from the beginning, sorry about that.

WOW.So that ratings form at the bottom of each page has been a huge sucess. Over thirty returns in just one night. Mostly positive (I feel so validated :-) ) with a smattering of lower ratings, 2s and 3s. If you're reading this and you used the forms, thanks a heap. If you're reading this and you're an author, I highly recommend setting up something like it.
Not a lot of people put comments in, but I expected that, and it's still a huge improvement on the level of feedback I've had in the past.
Getting to the good stuff now, I was writing some more of the second chapter of Orphan when I realized that the second chapter was getting pretty damn big. In fact, already as large as the first, and I figure to be about halfway through. So, I've cut it into two chapters, the first of which is to be posted immediately.
Orphan: A Chance Encounter is now up and ready to be read, get it while it's hot. It's about half the length of the first chapter, and not as thick on plot, but it does move things along a bit.
Saturday, 4 October 2003 8:21 PM (GMT +8)
Well, I've once again completely failed to update when I said I would...And this little update doesn't contain a story anyway. I've added some more facilities for feedback now, a little form with a 1 to 5 rating and a comment box at the bottom. Since this requires the most miniscule effort on the part of the reader, I'm hoping to get the feedback I crave this way.
My email has changed as well, due my old provider heaping on the ads more and more.
I've updated the ratings on my stories to include the D/s tag where appropriate, and I was surprised to find that almost all my stories have it. I hadn't really realized what a big part it plays in my fantasies until now.
As for the next story, I am making headway, but things are likely to be busy for me for the next month or so, so no promises.
Finally, I'm considering reversing the colour scheme to be black text on a white background to make it a little easier on the eyes. If you're some kind of regular here (do I have regulars?) and you have an opinion on this, please, drop me a line, I'd love to hear it. baronglies@mailcan.com

As you've probably noticed, the site has had a major facelift. I'm still sticking with the old colours but it's much prettier now. Those of you with thin bandwidth like myself can breathe easy. The entire site, images and all, is less than 260kb.Anyway, a new story is up, the start of an ongoing series called Orphan. The first chapter is fairly tame, but sets things up nicely for the future adventures of our hero Eric.
Feedback is still at a trickle. I get something every few weeks, which I hungrily devour, but ultimately find unsatisfying. If I've somehow attained regular readers, and you're one of them, please email me at baronglies@mailcan.com or use the form on the Contact page and let me know what you think about the site and my stories.
That's all for the moment folks, I hope to have another chapter of the Orphan series up in a few weeks, so if you like the first one, check back in a fortnight.
Monday, 18 August 2003 1:04 PM (GMT +8)
It's been waaaay too long since I last updated, but things have been a bit hectic for me and my motivation waned. But I'm back in the swing of it and a new story is up.Marion's Baby Bro: An Introduction picks up a week after The Morning After and is in a similar vien.
I've also done some minor grammar fixes on a few of the other stories, most notably Test Subject which had quite a few.
I've got another story in the works, and (fingers crossed) it should be up in the next two weeks or so, so stay tuned.
Wednesday, 8 February 2003 1:49 PM (GMT +8)
Well, I had hoped to get these stories up much sooner, but due to the unfortunate downtime of my wonderful host ASSTR and the fact that I've been away from home this past week I had to delay things somewhat. So, without further ado:Marion's Baby Bro: The Morning After It's an entirely different mood to the original, and quite a bit longer, but I hope that fan's of the first won't be put off by this.
Renee's Service A break from my usual 3rd person point of view to a 1st person female view. As usual, merely stroke fare, but good stroke fare I hope.
It's hard to say how many visitors I've gotten, since the recent downtime prevented me from recieving a traffic report this week. But for the first week the amount of visitors has exceeded my expectations greatly, with approximately 2500 downloads of each story. And that was actually less than a half week, since I only posted on Friday.
Feedback on the other hand has been less than exciting. To date I've recieved only four peices of feedback, all regarding Marion's Baby Bro and all very positive.
In a (probably vain) attempt to get more feedback, I've added a form to the contact page where you can submit comments without using email. It's actually been up there for over a week now, but I was unable to post my planned news items because the reasons above. I've also appended a little note to the bottom of the stories, since I think alot of people never actually visit site as such, but directly access the stories through links on ASSTR.
A little legal fine print has also been added, as have text versions of my stories for ftp users.

Site launch! How exciting. Not alot to say at this juncture. Head over to the library and take a look a my stories. Only a couple at the moment, but it should grow steadily over the next few months. I'm dying to know what people think of them, so please, drop me an email at baronglies@mailcan.com and let know what you think.
