The History of Bukkake

Bukkake is a punishment originating from Feudal Japan, 12th to 19th century. A wife accused of adultery was punished by having a group of men ejaculating at her face. The reasoning was this: if you're taking it from someone else, you're going to get it from everyone else. The humiliation would often drive the woman to commit suicide.
Bukkake was seldom part of the law. It was more like a wicked tradition, being practiced in remote villages. If a husband suspected that his wife had been unfaithful, he and his friends would lead her to a remote area, like a wood, or a cave. Then they would all shoot their semen at her face and open mouth.
The adulteress would sometimes be paraded through the village stark naked, before being tied up. They men would dishouner her by discharging upon her face and her naked body.
Other times, the adulteress would be lead to the town center, and be tied to a post in a kneeling position. All the men in the village would take turns masturbating upon her. Paper screens were sometimes used to shield the males, so that only the adulteress could be seen. It is said that the heavy amount of semen sometimes would drown the girl.
The adulteress could also be buried to her neck in dirt, and the men in the village would gather in a circle around her. They would masturbate, and shoot their load upon her. In the end, her husband would shoot his semen at her face. Sometimes, he would also chop her head off.
While Bukkake was originally intended for female adulteress, males who had commited adultery had sometimes been forced to endure this punishment.
Was it for real?
The text here is the information I have found online about Bukkake in ancient Japan. Several websites tells a lot of different versions about how Bukkake was perfomed. However, it is not possible to find any reliable source.
It is not unlikely that it could had happened. But without reliable sources, nobody can tell.
Some of the versions seems a bit weird. In some descriptions, it is told that the adulteress are lead to the village where she lives. I didn't really understood this - isn't she already there? However, a reader has given this explanation:
"I think that might mean leading her to her 'own' village, i.e. the one where she grew up in and where her parents live. It would be customary for her to live in her husband's village after marriage if he came from a different one. This would no doubt humiliate her parents and extended family as well, who would be living in that village."
Another reader added: Probably most of these women lived "outside" the actual village closest to them, as they probably farmed. So they are lead "to" the village where the merchants and others lived in a "town".
Other descriptions says that the adulteress would often commit seppuku (hari-kiri) after the ordeal. While noble women could commit ritual suicide, it is very unlikely that they would do this by seppuku.
