I like the repetition here. It both binds the poem together as a single unit, and creates
the progression of a simple narrative. I'm going to whine slightly that this isn't really a
haiku, though. The 5-7-5 form isn't supposed to be a verse structure; it's supposed to be
the whole poem. And for me, the last verse is a change in direction that doesn't entirely
belong – but that's quite likely to be a personal preference. It reads well, though.
There's a dreamy simplicity to it that's very pleasing.
