Superpower

By

Koalabear <Woody@lava.net>

Launching effortlessly from the Gotham Tower, the Man of Steel floated a thousand feet above the city.  X-Ray vision keenly scanning thru concrete and I-Beams, he searched for nefarious activity.  Concentrating on criminals, he failed to observe his swift spring dislodge a stone gargoyle.  It fell to the street below, smashing several passing vehicles!

Superman settled on a parapet of the Daily Planet building.  His landing was a bit harder than intended and a thirty foot section of the roof buckled beneath him!  Still scanning for criminals, he spun rapidly as he surveyed in all directions.  As he whirled, his red boots tore another hole into the roof.  Then he saw them; two of Gotham's most deadly gangsters, in an apartment near the waterfront.  They were playing cards, guns handy on the table, their moll tending to her baby in a corner.

With sudden super power, Superman leapt from the edge, dropping like a hawk upon the gang!  Unfortunately, one outstretched arm grazed the huge neon sign that brightly informed the city of the location of the great crusading newspaper.  Neon tubes sparked as sections of the sign died, the steel framework tilted precariously, then ponderously fell!  A moment later, terrible crashing noises, mingled with screams, rose from the sidewalks far below!

Superman hadn't noticed, as his crime-fighting zeal propelled him downward with incredible speed.  He crashed through the windows of the hideout, taking out most of the exterior wall and smashing the table.  Cards, money and gangsters flew in all directions, but Superman had no difficulty in collaring the criminals!

A LEFT!  ...a RIGHT!  ...another LEFT!  An unstoppable Super UPPERCUT quickly followed: the evil bad men were finished.  Sadly, in his eagerness to capture Nasty Nick and Dangerous Don, Superman accidentally stepped on the baby.  A brief plaintive cry and a sickening crunch ended the tiny tyke as his boot mashed her head.  Mean Minerva, screaming epithets, flew at the caped crusader, sharp nails extended.  Though perhaps justified, her anger was no match for the super strength of our hero.  Easily overpowered and quickly bound, she began to cry.  Superman ignored her wailing, leapt into the air, resumed his lookout position, and waited patiently for the Metro Police to drag the miscreants off to jail....

Unfortunately, it was Superman who was dragged....

Or, more accurately, it was seven year old Bobby who was summarily yanked from the back of the crumpled living room couch!  He was dragged past scattered Monopoly remains, two badly battered brothers, a smashed doll, a broken lamp, a little sister tied to a table leg, etcetera, etcetera, and deposited nose to a corner.

Bobby began to sniffle.  He knew, with super certainty, that after his mom finished comforting his younger siblings, his turn would come.  His red tights and blue leggings would be pulled down and his bare bottom soundly spanked.  Everyone knows that there is only one thing that can overpower Superman...the power of KRYPTON MOM!

The End

I liked this story quite a bit, but I think I could have done without the baby getting involved, although later we see it was just a doll I had to re-read it before I realised that.  I loved how he is waiting for the spanking he so richly deserves.  Hope she has a super paddle too...although it seems that those super stingy wooden spoons aren't very fun either.

This story would work equally well as a comic strip -- fast action and spectacular surroundings.  As a piece of fan fiction, it reflect very well the spirit of the original, and also the devotion of the fans to their favourite characters, to their peril.  As a spanking story, it concludes to the general satisfaction and leaves the readers, well, glowing.  Very good job.

This is good, solid writing.  I had an excellent picture in mind of this oafish, possibly drunken Superman, destroying everything in his path!

I would rather not have seen «...etcetera, etcetera....» where it was, as the description of the Monopoly game, broken lamp, and battered sibs was quite funny and shouldn't have been cut short.
