Lost

She fell, and the dark grew jagged angles to hurt her.  Sobbing, her anger exploded.

"I hate you!"  she howled.

"Why?"  whispered the dark from somewhere close behind.

She spun, screaming, "Because you think you're a Dom!"

"But I love you," whispered the dark, "because you dream you submit!"

I just couldn't get my mind around this one and really decide what the author was trying to communicate, a few more words would have helped a lot, but as it is  I have a hard time deciding what I was intended to get out of it.  I would like to see it with a few more lines, the feeling I get is of a girl who lost her Dom somehow and is hurting and angry, am I anywhere near the truth?

I really like this story.  When I first saw the few words, I though it was a joke.  Then I read the story.  It made me stop and think.  I enjoyed the feeling.  I think it put in words a feeling that a lot of us have.  I look forward to reading more from this writer.  I have no suggestions to made except do it again.  Take another subject and write something that will make people stop and think.  There is nothing wrong with thinking. I will admit that I have now read the story four times and will probably pick it  and read it again.  If the writer wanted to grab somebodies attention, they did it with this short story.

I'm not really sure that I understood the deeper meanings in this story.  They were a bit obscure, but it is certainly emotional.  I feel sympathy for the girl.  She's obviously conflicted and confused about what she wants  It makes me wonder what happened between them.
