Nice Guys

Mel ran her fingertip down Karl's side, enjoying his discomfort. He was so ticklish. "Me, a brat? Karl, surely you knew that when you first asked me out."
"I did Mel, and a brat you are. But I don't know if you're an incorrigible brat yet."
"What do you mean?"
"Incorrigible means can't be corrected by punishment. I don't know that yet."
Mel's eyes flashed. She laughed. "Punishment? I mean really, what are you going to do, spank me?"
"Actually, sometimes I think it's what you want."
Mel's heart skipped a beat. She concentrated on making them coffee. His eyes could see right through her at times. "Oh Karl, don't be silly. You're a nice guy. Nice guys don't spank their girlfriends."
"You know I don't like being called that."
Mel grinned, moving behind the kitchen table. "Nice guy, nice guy, nice guy."
Karl lifted a finger. "I'm warning you."
She scampered out of his reach. "Hey, I could call you an asshole if youd prefer. Nice guy, nice guy, nice guy".
One second Karl was shaking his head, ignoring her. The next he pounced, trapping Mel's wrist in a vice-like grip. He pulled her over to the nearest chair, flipping her over his lap in a fluid motion.
Mel struggled, but her petite frame was up against a mountain. She squirmed as he lifted her dress. "Okay Karl, the joke's over. Let me up now." Her panties followed. "Stop it. This isnt nice you know!"
Karl brought his hand down hard on Mel's bottom, the sound echoing like a pistol-shot. Mel squealed. The position was close to her fantasies, but the pain was worlds away.
Karl was unstoppable. His hand breathed fire on her poor bottom. She kicked, begged, and promised sexual favors to no avail. Finally, after way too many spanks to count, Karl let her up.
He ignored her pout, giving her a quick kiss on the forehead before disappearing down the hall. Mel was still protesting at the indignity of her punishment, shouting down the hall after him. "That was horrible. You've got some serious making up to do after that! You better bring back some cream."
Mel was rubbing her bottom when he returned. She started to give him a few more choice words of what she thought of her spanking. She stopped in mid-sentence, her eyes wide at the sight of her father's old wooden paddle in Karl's hand.
"Nice guys dont spank their bratty girlfriends with paddles either, but your father gave me a few hints when we played golf last weekend," he said with a hint of a smile.
Incorrigible was about to be well tested.

(The position was close to her fantasies, but the pain was worlds away).
The point at which fantasy and R/L meet. Both exhilarating and painful at the same time. The writer does a good job of keeping the readers attention with lines like this. It is very well written, and not mucked up with the usually spanking in progress words(smack, ow, please). Great Job

A fun story. I always suspected that the so-called nice guys are the worst of all, once their patience gets stretched beyond a certain point. And as an absolutely classic brat, Mel certainly seems determined to reach that point, although she may regret it later!

There's something so pleasingly classical about the structure here, the confrontation turning the relationship in the direction both want, but haven't been able to say, that it's almost a surprise not to see the challenge, 'You wouldn't dare!', somewhere. It's nicely written, with clearly defined and effective characters. Minor quibble, but I'd prefer to see the story from a single point of view, rather than bouncing between both characters, which can be a little disorientating.

Likable characters and a classic plot come together to make Nice Guys a fun and satisfying read. The light tone and obvious affection between the principals really worked for me, and the ending made me think of that old saw about being careful what you wish for. But somehow I don't picture either of the characters coming away with regrets.
