Kansas City

By

Louiza <louiza@home.com>

I'm going to Kansas City, Kansas City here I come
I'm going to Kansas City, Kansas City here I come
They got a crazy way of lovin' there
An' I'm gonna get me some

I'm gonna be standin' in the corner
Penitent and cryin'
I'm gonna be standin' in the corner
Penitent and cryin'
From a Kansas City spanking
By a Kansas City spankerman

Well, I might take a plane
I might take a train,
But if I have to walk
I'm going just the same
I'm going to Kansas City, Kansas City here I come
They got a crazy way of spankin' there
An' I'm gonna get me some

Instrumental Break

Well, if I see him with that woman
I know I'm gonna die
Gotta find a brand new daddy
An' that's the reason why
I'm going to Kansas City, Kansas City here I come
They got a crazy way of lovin' there
And I'm gonna get me some
They got some crazy lovin' spankers there
And I'm gonna get me one
They got a crazy way of lovin' there
And I'm gonna get me some

The End

Great parody! It's faithful, but it actually adds one further bluesy dimension to the original.

I don't usually find things in verse very sexy, but the way Louiza rings the changes on spankin'/lovin' is pretty damn hot.

I had to go back and look at and listen to the original song, because it had been a long time since I'd last heard it and I wasn't all that familiar with the lyrics, except for the first verse. Parody is very difficult in general. In this case, I feel that there isn't enough variation between the parody and the original song from which it was derived. There were some nice ideas, but they weren't fully fleshed out in order to truly make this a parody.
