Feeling Hopeless

By

Jen <jklbot@webtv.net>

She felt disgusting, abandoned, that nobody cared.  Worthlessness and hopelessness pervaded her soul.  She didn't tell him this of course, she didn't feel up to the struggle of getting what she needed to feel right again.  Emotional pain weighed heavily on her, making her feel as if he didn't care.

She became defiant, breaking rules to see if he would punish her.  When his schedule prevented him from punishing her, it just convinced her that she was right.  She began to think that he didn't want to bother with her, even though she knew deep down that he did.  She needed the boundaries that the rules gave her, and the absence of them made her feel lost and lonely.

She sat on the couch, staring off into space.  She didn't hear him approach her, and didn't hear his questions until he stood in front of her.

"What do you want," she asked.

"Well, first I want to know where that attitude is coming from, and second, I wondered if you'd sent the checks for the bills yet," he said. "So let's start with why you answered me that way."

"Because I felt like it.  What do you care," she spat out angrily.

His face took on a stern look.  "I came in here to ask a question, not to get into a fight.  Do you want to try again?"

"No.  Just leave me alone," she grumbled.

"I will NOT leave you alone.  There is obviously something wrong here," he said as he sat next to her on the couch.

"You wouldn't care even if I told you.  You hate me," she said quietly, tears stinging her eyes.

He blinked a few times, stunned.  "Where would you get THAT idea!  I don't hate you!"

"Yes you do.  You don't even punish me anymore.  You don't care if I follow the rules," she said, sullenly.

He reached out to put his arms around her.  "I know I've been busier than usual lately, but that doesn't mean I don't care if you follow the rules.  Actually, that's why I came in here to ask about the bills.  If you hadn't done it I was going to spank you."

"Yeah right.  I haven't been following the rules for days and you haven't spanked me yet," she said.

"Only because of lack of time.  I think you need a good reminder that even if I can't punish you right away, you will ALWAYS be punished when you don't follow the rules," he declared.

With that he pulled her over his lap, skinning her pants and panties down to bare her bottom.

She only endured at first, angry about getting spanked, even though she needed it desperately.  He didn't care, so why was he bothering?  Slowly it came to her that he did care, and she gave herself over to it, crying quietly.

"Now do you believe me," he asked as he finished the spanking.

"Yes Sir," she said happily through her tears, and she meant it.

A very effective description of one of those feelings that's common in the kink, but not discussed a great deal, so this story will spark recognition in many, and captures an important truth that outside the kink might seem unfathomable. It perhaps ends a little abruptly, but that's small issue; this isn't about plot, and the miniature dynamic does all it needs to.

I feel that this story has a nice truthfulness to it.. It deal with real feelings that are felt by many. The writer uses the dialogue and descriptions to show the reader the mixed emotions of this main character. I feel that the author did a great job in dealing with that sense of caring that can come from being punished. I nice story with heartfelt emotions.
