A double dose for Advent!

Firstly I'd like to apologise for the late posting last week, we had a hardware failure and the replacement kit arrived too late to be of use before Sunday. Hopefully things are back on track now and normal service is resumed!

As promised Auntie Angharad has managed to scrawl another chapter of Whatever Next, thanks Ang, you can read part 12 by clicking here . I'm sure you'll join me in wishing Auntie a speedy and good recovery from her back surgery and I know I wait with bated breath for each one of her missives.

T here is of course another chapter of my own little saga today, Bits 5.13 / part 173 is now up and can be found here . Part 5.14 / 174 is currently undergoing editing scrutiny and should be posted next week whilst I continue to make scribbles which will become later chapters.

Other news this week - Mad Gurls Shoppe is now up and running and I'm rolling out more product each week - this time there are several dolls and other related items along with some interesting head gear listed! Still on the shopping front check out the Doll Shoppe for the latest Doll releases. In fact you can now order the new 'Cheerleader Ally ' doll!
cheerally link
I will shortly start offering a few extra bits and pieces for your collections - bags, jewellery, clothes, even food but I'm still looking for Drew's bike!
Its not too late to order books and calendars from Scaramouch Books for Christmas delivery - but hurry, it's only 20 days to go!
Well that's it for the sales pitch, remember that the Gaby books support the Mermaids charity so please buy generously!

Bye for now,

ttfn

A longer chapter!

The best news this week is that Angharad is doing well after her back surgery and has promised to do some writing as soon as the doctors let her sit for more than 15 minutes!

This week also sees another new Gaby chapter, Bits 5.12 / part 172 which can be found here . This is the longest Bits chapter so far - my thanks to the German spellcheckers for sorting out my poor German diction! On that subject you can get a corrected chapter Bits 5.11 / part 171 now too - I'm getting a bit better honest! Next week there will be more from the Bond family's adventures so remember to tune in soon.

21st November 2007
Incoming!

Well there's not a lot going on in cold, damp Yorkshire this week. Our first snow of the winter, the Queens 60th Wedding anniversary and the Christmas lights were turned on have so far made this week memorable. Of course the two drivers who tried to kill me tonight added a bit of spice to things as Chrimbo has crept seven days closer! ( I wouldn't mind so much if I didn't have two super bright headlamps and a full watt of rear high intensity lighting! )

Things are a little less fraught around here this week so I've updated a few pages to correct some missing stuff. If you spot anything wrong please report it via the Gabyzone forums - it gets sorted out quicker and I don't get so £$%^&*'ed off with hundreds of emails!

At this point I'd like to wish Angharad all the best and a speedy recovery from her forthcoming back surgery. I hope it brings the hoped for result and maybe you can manage a bit of writing whilst you are laid up! Big hugs from all your fans.

I'll stop prevaricating now and get to the hot news - a new Gaby chapter, Bits 5.11 / part 171 can be found here . It's not that long or exciting but hey, life can't all be high adventure!

14th November 2007
Calm Down

A quiet week I'm afraid, a trip to the Doll Shoppe will give you the detail of the latest releases doll wise but due to unforseen circumstances (a lack of funds!) the resin figure has been put on temporary hold - you can still place advance orders but things have been put back to the New Year.

On the writing front you can find the latest Gaby chapter here . More next week.

7th November 2007
Reading Frenzy!

Well you've been patient and that patience is rewarded today! Firstly Angharad, she of Snafu and AEAFOAB fame has sent me a new Whatever Next? chapter which I'm pleased to post here . When does the woman sleep?

As far as my own scribbling goes I'm pleased to present not one but two new parts of the Gaby saga, Chapter 5.7 / 167 and chapter 5.9 / 169 can both be found here . If you have problems with the German complain to Sidonie as she vetted that content! Next week we will return to a more 'normal' release schedule - I hope!

Just a reminder that I'm taking advance orders for the Gensen Gaby figurine, If you would like to pre-order a figure please klick here or mail me now for details of how to pay the deposit which will be just $15 / £7.50 / €12 . Also its a good time to order Gaby books and dolls in time for Christmas delivery, so pop along to the Doll Shoppe or Scaramouch Books armed with your plastic!

It's not strictly to do with my writing but a visit to Mad Gurl's Shoppe might allow you to get your hands on some interesting stuff easily and cheaply. I will be selling everything from dolls to jewellery, books to clothing, bike stuff to models so if you fancy a bargain pop in soon!

Sorry if it seems I'm always after your hard earned cash but a girl has to make a living!

24th October 2007 New Dolls - preview

Apologies for the site being down for a few days - a combination of hackers and a bad line to the servers. As a result things didn't happen as they were supposed to so I've not added more this week. I have however started yet another chapter - thats half a book in progress!

First this week you get a preview of the forthcoming release of a new doll in Ceinwen's Doll Shoppe . Mfanwy will be available in a couple of weeks, I've got the prototype here now so below left is the first picture of the 'shy' alta ego of Rhod. November also see's the first limited edition Gaby doll release - Gaby gets to wear a costume from the anime ' Tenshi No Koromo ' , a cute maid outfit which will feature in an upcoming Gaby Bits chapter (see below right). This ten item costume will also be available as a limited availability extra costume for £20/$40/€2 8. Price of the ' Tenshi No Koromo ' Gaby doll will be £40/$80/€56 and although it won't be available till November you can reserve your Gaby ' Tenshi No Koromo ' by mailing me now!

new mfanwy doll, aww she's shy! Mfanwy doll, Rhods shy alta ego! new Gaby Doll, doesn't he look cute in this outfit? new Gaby Doll, the attention to detail includes a lace cap, stockings and a jewelled collar

One or two of you may have got wind of another project I'm working on, that is the first in a possible series of 6" / 15cm Gaby resin models to be produced commercially by world famous modellers Gensen . They specialise is short runs of Anime / Manga characters and are very sought after. This will offer you the chance to own a real work of art, below are examples of their work. The detail is incredible as you can see, I'll let you have more details as soon as I have them but in the meantime click here for a preview. If you would like to pre-order a figure please klick here or mail me now for details of how to pay the deposit which will be just $15 / £7.50 / €12 .

sample resin model

Next up I'd like to invite the cyclists out there to join me in riding the 6th Spreewald AOK Radmarathon, a 200km, thats 125 miles, RTF ( Radtourenfahrt) event (there are shorter rides too!). The date is the 19th April 2008 and it takes place around the town of Luebben south of Berlin, Germany, it's not a race - you get 10 hours to complete it in! I shall be asking people to sponsor my ride to raise funds for Mermaids , my entry is already in, why not join me for a fun weekend? For more details checkout www.spreewaldmarathon.de . (You can also paddle, walk, trek, skate or run in events over the weekend so theres no excuse in not taking part!) I will be doing an occasional blog on the Gabynaris site to let you know how the preperation is going.

Phew! I've decided to bring forward the chapter you have all been waiting for so instead of chapter 5.7 / 167, chapter 5.8 / 168 , A & E can be found here . This is I guess really the first part of Bits chronologically as it follows on directly from A Word Young Bond . I hope it answers your questions and isn't too much to cope with!

Well that's it for this week - more Gaby next week and don't forget to mail me if you fancy the new Gaby doll or the resin figurine.

17th October 2007
Back Home

I'm back from my trip to Lower Saxony - I won't say refreshed but a little bit recharged at least! I have done a little Gaby research, eaten and drunk plenty and taken in excess of 400 photos over the 3 days!

This weeks Gaby action takes place later in the first German summer, chapter 5.6 / 166 can be found here . Just to remind you that German language conversation is now shown in blue so you can follow things easier.

10th October 2007
Who says I don't listen to you?

I've had a lot of mail about Gaby Bits the last few weeks on lots of different subjects from correct German to plot speculation and confusion over language. Well obviously I don't want to give away too much plot but to put your minds at rest here are some upcoming threads:-

  • The original gang will be back in the plot regularly
  • Drew will be exposed to some new situations uniquely German
  • There will be even more new characters
  • Drew's cycling career will continue - not always smoothly!

Language - well my German translation team get to correct and insert German content so don't blame me if its not perfect! If there is anything glaringly wrong let me know via the Gabyzone . In case there's anyone out there who hasn't worked it out Fr. = Mrs. and Hr.= Mr . My simple bracketing system for letting you know which language is in use doesn't seem to be working for everyone. I've had several suggestions but the one I'm gonna use on the website is colour coding, black will be anything in English and blue will be German conversation. For now this will only apply to Bits and I'm sure some of you will still have issues but the only other option is really very messy and difficult to read.

There is of course a new Bits chapter again this week, chapter 5.5 / 165 which I hope will keep your interest going for another week.

3rd October 2007
Oops! Maddy the Blonde strikes again!

Okay I admit it, I missed uploading the new chapter of Drew's Meltdown to all the sites last week so I got LOTS of mail telling me about that and an image glitch. The image seems to be a local browser issue which Cat kinda sorted on Sunday and you can now read the missing chapter by going here . My apologies!

From the feedback I've been getting I know that the new Bits chapters are causing a little confusion in continuity - I make no apologies, it will all melt into a cohesive story over the coming weeks. When I get as far as publishing Book 5 it will all be in chronological order but you are pretty much getting it in the order that I've been writing it. What's that? stop waffling and give you the link? Oh alright then, click here to go to what is nominally Bits chapter 4 / part 164.

Just a bit of passing news, the transcription volunteers have now started on the remainder of Anja ', so with a following wind there will be more high adventure by Christmas.

I'm afraid there's nothing else this week, maybe one of the other fanfic authors would care to submit something? hint, hint!

26th September 2007
Extra! Extra! Read more Gaby!

We start this week with some great news - Kate has sent me another chapter of Drew's Meltdown which you can read by going here . It has been a long wait but I'm sure you'll enjoy it, maybe a re-read of the first 6 parts is in order!

Then I must thank Erin and the Big Closet crew for kindly letting me advertise the Doll Shoppe over there, many thanks and I have also sanctioned the reposting of the Gaby series over there. On the subject of the dolls, I've started looking for some accessories and costumes for the gang - a guitar for Jules, school bags, cosplay costumes, cheer outfits - well you get the idea - I'm on the lookout for some suitable bikes but I've not seen any yet although I have some leads to follow up. More news next week.

Whilst I'm dishing out the thanks, thank you all for your feedback on the new chapters - your comments are taken on board and I must thank especially those who have suggested story lines some of which might even get used! Hmm, I guess you'd like to read another instalment eh? Well okay then go here for what is nominally chapter 3 of Bits. It's only a short interlude this time but there are longer chapters on their way!

19th September 2007
More New Gaby!

I'm getting back into the flow of things both writing and posting, for every chapter I post I will write / finish at least one other so things will hopefully move along nicely! So that means that this week you can read Bits 2, New Beginnings - actually the first of the new book that I wrote, back in April! Currently there is enough written to take you through till late October!

At this point I'd like to say a belated 'Hi' and 'Thank You' to all the new readers of my tales and especially to Ron and his MS kids - welcome all, thanks for your emails and I hope you enjoy the new scribbles and find something in them to brighten your days.

Just to let you know in advance, there will once again be a Gaby Calendar for 2008 and there will be some exclusive gift sets available shortly for Christmas / New Year including some really cool new items, so start saving!

There is a special introductory offer over in the Doll Shoppe .

gaby guide

Buy any single Standard doll with a copy of 'Pocket Guide to the Saga' , the essential guide to the series, for just £28 plus p&p! Just put 'Gaby Guide' on your order and pay the special price .

12th September 2007
Prototype Dolls are now ready!

Here you go, Jules, Ally, Rhod, Bernie, Gaby and Maddy in just about final versions! (Drew will follow shortly!) cute aren't they? Gabs and Mad are even a bit shorter than their friends when they are stood. Pop over to the Doll Shoppe now to order yours!
(please note that outfits may vary subject to availability)

Fans of the Gaby saga might want to take a look here for some new stuff.

So okay - its a short chapter and it doesn't directly follow 160 but the new book, number 5, Gaby Bits is gonna be a bit different to the previous tomes. I'm not making any promises regarding output but you will hopefully get a couple more chapters this month as we head towards chapter 200! If the muse hangs about I would like to finish this series @ Easter 2008. Note that chapter numbering and even chapter titles may well change as we go along. As an aid to your enjoyment there are a couple of things to help you enjoy the new scribbles. Some of the action takes place in Germany and there are quite a few bits of conversation where both English and German is used, rather than use German in the text all the time it is mostly in English with German text enclosed by <>. I hope you will enjoy the new writings, those who have seen previews seem to enjoy the return to something close to the original style - let me know what you think, mail me here .

5th September 2007
Bluh!

Well there is more Gaby this week - just not mine! Instead Angharad has managed to make time for another chapter of Whatever Next? which you can read here .

With regards to my own scribbles I have got as far as naming some forthcoming Gaby chapters here , and there are several 'Bits' written already so I just need to organise myself! Don't hold your breath but Book 5 will launch soon!

Just a reminder that Tanya Allan's new book, Ring The Change , is now available from Scaramouch Books, order your copy today by clicking on the link below!

Great New Gaby Project

Well I can finally share some details of the secret project! It has taken several months to get to this point but I have on my desk the first samples of a range of anime style Gaby themed dolls. Made in Japan and finished and clothed by me here in the UK, they stand between 21+23cm tall ( thats a bit smaller than Barbie Skipper ) and feature fully posable, articulated bodies with seperate clothing and individual facial features.

I'm very excited by this project which I plan to enlarge with exclusive costumes and limited run dolls, the first 5 dolls, Maddy, Ally, Bernie, Rhod and Gaby can now be ordered here in the new Ceinwen's Doll Shoppe. Forthcoming releases will include Drew, Jules, Em, Dave and Jenny with more characters to follow. Extra costumes will also be offered as they become available and links to online suppliers of suitable accessories for you to customise your collection with. I have done my best to keep the price down so that you can all share your favourite cast members! Anyone buying a doll will automatically get membership of the ' Obitsu Club ', which will offer exclusive stuff and early notice of new and forthcoming stuff.

Hopefully next week I will have some writing stuff to impart so tune in again next time.

Thats it for this week,

22nd August 2007

We start this week with a new chapter from Joni's RTTA saga, part 38 which you can access here.

Well I'll still have to keep you on tenterhooks about the new project and I'm working up a new story too, there really will be some news next time, honest.

In the meantime here are a few holiday pics! I hope they give you a bit of a taste of my trip, in total I took nearly 2000 pics so think yourselves lucky that I've shown restraint with this selection! Enjoy, click on the thumbnail for larger versions.

New Book!

Before I get to the headline news as Imentioned last week PB has gone into temporary retirement and so this weeks final instalment of Rough Waters is the last from PB for the time being, part 17 is therefore ready to read here.

Next I'm pleased to announce a new Tanya Allan book, Ring The Change, now available from Scaramouch Books. Here's what Tanya has to say about it:-

'Imagine the value of a personal protective forcefield in a combat situation. Professor Standing had more than imagined it, he's actually made one. Or rather, he is in the process of making one for H.M. Government. The problem is that it doesn't quite work, so the Treasurary is starting to ask questions, and after the questions comes the withdrawal of funds. The professor sees it coming and seeks to sell his invention to the highest bidder, except the British intelligence Service are aware and is trying to stop him.

Enter ex-Sgt. Curly Curtis of the SAS. He is assigned the task of infiltrating the plant and acquiring all information before it leaves the country. Not an easy task, as the previous agent tried and failed to return. He enters and is partially successful, but while inside he is in a test chamber while the device is tested.

The result? Not what was expected. A young woman wakes in hospital two hundred miles away with no memory of who she is or how she got there. The police are puzzled, but as her memory returns, the unlikely scenario becomes reality and she has to come to terms with the truth without compromising the mission or her country. Join her on her struggle to find herself and finish the job that Rob Curtis was assigned.'

So you can look forward to another exciting romp, this time partly in France, pretty girls, black hats, intrigue - well a typical TA story! Only available from Scaramouch Books, order your copy today by clicking on the link below!

scara books

I'm catching up with stuff at last and I am starting to turn my attention back to Gaby and writing in general. I'm aiming to have something new for you at the beginning of September alongside a new story in print. And whilst I remember I will be liasing with the many volunteers on the Anja and the Druid project in the next couple of weeks too! Hopefully I will be able to announce an exciting new project next week too so make sure you pay this page a visit regularly!

Just to repeat from last week - Gabycon 2008, I'm trying to organise a venue in the Warsop area but in the meantime if you think you want to participate can you please send me an email with your name, email and snail address and number of persons preferably by the end of August. (The info goes no further than me.) The dates are 6,7 + 8 June 2008 and the basic programme will consist of a welcome dinner on the Friday evening, visits to Gabyland, readings and workshops on the Saturday and a farewell picnic on Sunday - other events will be announced closer to the date. There will be the chance to purchase / order Gaby books and both Gaby and exclusive Gabycon merchandise during the weekend. Details of accomodation options will be posted shortly and I hope to keep the ticket price to a minimum. If you are able to help in any capacity let me know soon please.

Thats it for this week,

8th August 2007
Normal service will be resumed shortly!

Here is the news - PB has gone into temporary retirement. Well thats the bad news, the good news is that Rough Waters is now complete, part 16 is ready to read here and the final chapter will be posted next week. PB has promised to come back to visit when home and work have settled down - lets hope thats not too far away, good luck with the new life PB.

I have to admit that my own scribbling has been on hold for a while but i promise that i'll get you something new soon! I'm not being idle however, I'm working on several projects and RL is quite demanding at the moment too. You will hopefully get to see the results in the next few weeks and i'm pretty sure you'll like them.

Other news - Gabycon 2008, I'm trying to organise a venue in the Warsop area but in the meantime if you think you want to participate can you please send me an email with your name, email and snail address and number of persons preferably by the end of August. Back to reality

Just a quickie to let you know that I've made it home from my trip, tired, burnt and much poorer. Normal service should resume next week.

4th July 2007
Hooray, it's a holi, holi - day!

Well as I mentioned last time this will be the last proper update for a month due to my hols. Ceinwen and I are all packed and ready to go, you will hopefully read something of our adventures in August.

As promised there is some reading for you in my absence, 2 parts of PB's Rough Water's and another segment in Angharad's Whatever Next. You can go here to read all three chapters.

The link to the new Gaby book, Crossing The Line by Angharad ap Gwilym didn't work last time so here is a hopefully working link! There's also one for the other new Gaby book, Gaby and Friends II which shouldn't be missed containing as it does a whole unavailable elsewhere story! Go on, treat yourself and save on postage!

Not much else to say really, take care and I'll catch you all soon

26th June 2007
This is Summer?

Well as some of you may know we are experiencing some extreme weather hereabouts with extensive flooding, two people swept to their deaths and a dam ready to burst! Life's never dull! Bell acres has survived unscathed although at one point the building was surrounded by flood waters (Ceinwen and I live near the top of one of Sheffields hills!). Go to www.bbc.co.uk/southyorkshire for more about Sheffields second great flood.

Next up a newsflash from PB. Rough Water's is nearly complete and will end at chapter 17. PB will be taking a step back for a while as there is a move and new job to concentrate on so and queries should be directed in the first place to myself. So don't worry, she's not got the 'ump with us and she will be back! You can go here to read part 13 of PB's Rough Water's story, the remaining parts will hopefully be posted before my summer hols.

And that brings me neatly onto item three, my holiday. I will be out of contact for over three weeks from the 8th of July to 1st of August. I hope to put up a reasonable chunk of reading matter next week with a possible supplement on the 8th.

Finally for those of you who like to hold a good ole' paper book in your hands i'm pleased to announce the publication of a new Gaby book, Crossing The Line by Angharad ap Gwilym which is of course book 2 in the 'Dorset' series started in Drew Goes South. Angharad has spent time tidying things up a bit and once again all proceeds go to the Mermaids charity. Simply click on the image to visit the Scaramouch book shop where you can obtain all of the Gaby books and much more!

Gabycon 2007 Reportage

Well the first Gabycon has come and gone and despite being a cosy affair it was quite a success. All the delegates met on Saturday evening for a meal after which we were treated to a reading of Angharad's specially written story Gaby's Manx Tail. That was a real success and after a brief beverage break the first public airing of material from my new Gaby book was read by Angharad. The following morning we met at Creswell Crags for a cycle ride around Drew's home town and environs. We visited Cuckney & Warsop before taking a lunch break at the Sherwood Forest visitors centre and Major Oak. The afternoon route took us first to Clumber Park before passing through Worksop on the way back to Creswell Crags. We finished the event with a walk around the Ice Age site then made our farewells. For a more animated version of events have a read of Angharads blog over on Big Closet.

Everyone agreed that a bigger, better event should take place in 2008 so mark the weekend of 6,7 +8 June 2008 in your diaries when the first International Gabycon will take place. If you would like to attend you can book shortly but it would be appreciated if you would let me know asap if you'd like to attend so I have some idea of numbers. Events will include readings, trips to Gabyverse sites, a Con meal, the chance to buy Gaby books and souvenirs and of course you get to meet other Gabfans from around the world! The weekend will cost @ GBP200 including accomodation on a B+B basis.

For anyone who missed this years event here is a special treat, Angharad's Gabycon story, Drew's Manx Tail - have a read here ! Then you can go here to read the next installment of PB's Rough Water's story.

6th June 2007
Gabycon 2007 is here!

Well its not exactly a big event but the first meeting of Gabyverse enthusiasts will take place this weekend. Full report next time.

In the meantime there is a bit of fanfic stuff to read. PB has sent me part 11 of Rough Waters and also a revised version of part 10 with better German! Go here to have a read.

30th May 2007
Wet, wet, wet!

I don't know what the weather where you are has been like but here it has been doing its best to drown us! This has resulted in a slight change to the plans for Gabycon 2007 but if you are interested here are the details.

Gabycon 9/10 June 2007 Programme

Saturday evening Meal @ 19.00 and get together At Norton Hotel in Sheffield with reading

Sunday Meet for casual ride @ 10.00 (subject to weather) around Warsop Gabyverse area
Café lunch at Sherwood visitor centre followed by reading before depart @ 16.00

The move of Saturday venue is due to a shortage of both accommodation and suitable venues in the Warsop area. The Sheffield Park Hotel is five minutes away and a wide range of other accommodation is available in Sheffield city centre @ five miles distant but served by regular public transport links.

It is proposed that the Sunday morning ride will convene at Creswell Crags visitor centre and then take in Cuckney, Meden/Warsop and Edwinstowe before returning to Creswell via Clumber Park and Worksop. Distance @ 25 miles.

If you are wanting to attend please contact me asap, it's only 10 days away!

I was pleasantly surprised to get an email from Joni the other day, the result of which is that we have another chapter of Rhods Trip To America to enjoy, click here to go and have a read!

23rd May 2007
New Stuff from Scaramouch

I've been on a short break this week so there isn't a huge amount to report this week but I'm sure you'll like it. Scaramouch books are pleased to finally announce the release of the first book of their summer season, Gaby & Friends II, over 300 pages of lazy summer reading including a brand new story from Jillian, Cover Story, of which you can read a short excerpt right here . The other stories are Questions from Angela Peters and Reconciliation from PB. As usual with Gaby books, it supports the Mermaids charity and the authors have waived all payments to maximise the amount raised.

So click on the link and get your copy now!

More new summer reading will be available in the next few weeks, Crossing The Line from Angharad and hopefully a new Tanya Allen tome will be released next time or treat yourself to paper copies of the Gaby Saga so you can catch up with the gang anywhere!

16th May 2007
Merry, merry month of May

Life here at Bell Towers is as hectic as ever, not enough hours in the day, too many things on the go an all that. The nett result is an update that comprises 'just' a new chapter of PB's Rough Waters fanfic which you can find right here .

A lot of the other stuff I was hoping to have ready this week is running a bit behind schedule but it really will be worth waiting for! There are some new pics on Ceinwen's pages if you want to take a peek here .

9th May 2007
Rain, rain go away

Well the weather here has taken a turn for the wet but thats England I suppose! We start again this week with the foreign language department - u se this link to go to the German Gaby site where hopefully you can find chapter 7! Many thanks to Sidonie and Saphira for all their efforts.

After last weeks plea for help I've been overwhelmed by offers of help, thank you all, I will be mailing everyone individually, the ball is now back in my court! With any luck we might see some of these scribbles on line before the autumn, I'll keep you informed.

Now on to the Fanfic page where there is another Whatever Next chapter from Angharad and a further epsipode of Rhod's Trip to America from Joni. I am planning something exciting for next time (I hope!) but don't hold your breath!

2nd May 2007
Spring has sprung !

Firstly I must apologise for all those trying to access the latest German language chapter, I fouled up the link but it should be fixed now. Use this link to go direct to Gaby's Cosplay , hopefully there will be more from the German team in the next couple of weeks.

My new Gaby scribblings are coming along well, there are two completed chapters already and three more are in progress! As you may guess from that they are however not neccesarily in order and in fact despite their working sequence I haven't even thought about part 5.1 / 161 yet! Without wanting to lay down a solid time table I do hope that you can start reading this stuff @ mid-summer, I'm sure you'll find it worth the wait, my thanks for your continued support and enthusiasm for all things Gaby.

Next a plea. Is there anyone out there who would be willing to transcribe some of my earlier hand written scribbles to digital format? Due to time restraints I just don't seem to be making much progress on this side of things. I can't offer much in the way of reward but I am willing to negotiate on that! We are looking at a considerable volume - several hundred pages in total, and I write quite small so there are a lot of words! If you have some spare time and would like to read some previously un published Maddy scribbles first, please contact me here putting 'transcribe Maddy' in the subject line.

This week the Fanfic page has a new Whatever Next chapter from Angharad, looks like things are moving up a gear! There should be some exciting news next time on the Fanfic front so make sure you tune in.

25th April 2007
Belated St Georges day greetings!

I really should've mentioned it last week but I forgot so for the English out there, sorry and I hope you had a good St Georges day on Monday. Lets hope we can convince HM Govt. that we should celebrate the nations saints day and lose the politically red May 1st holiday. You can petition the Govt. if you go to the No.10 website!

It's a quiet week this time, I'm busy writing but I've had a stressful week with no break from work since last time so I'm cream crackered! Writing? yes I'm scribbling away hard but I'm not going to post the new opus until it's at least ¾'s finished.

T his week Rough Waters provides the only addition to the Fanfic page. I have it on top authority that there is more from Joni, Angharad and PB coming soon - watch this space!

18th April 2007
Spring is here

We start this week with another chapter of Rough Waters and another in the Whatever Next saga which you can of course find on the Fanfic page. Then if you want to test your language skills chapter 6, Gaby's Cosplay , of the Gaby Saga is now available at Die Gaby Seite !

You will all be pleased to hear that after a considerable break I have started putting some elements together for the next appearance of Gaby on these pages! Now don't get too excited, it will almost certainly be the end of June at the earliest before you get to see the finished work. In the meantime I will be putting up some other scribbles wot I have done, I'm working on a new Nena story and I will try to get more of Anja up too.

First of those to see the light of day is the final cut of Sam an tha part 4 ! Sorry it's been so long coming but it's been a bad few weeks!

11th April 2007
Begorah!

So there was this woman and she was like writing this story and then all sorts of things started to happen in her life and the writer found it difficult to get the time to put her scribbles on paper and so her faithful readers had to wait a long time to read anything new. The writer was distraught! What shall I do? she asked herself, I have to do something. She wracked her head but couldn't find a solution, her life was just too busy! She fretted some more but found no answer.

In the meantime Rough Waters and Rhod's Trip To America have new chapters on the Fanfic page and next time there will more from PB and after something of a wait, another chapter in German!

4th April 2007
Happy Easter

Well it looks like spring has almost arrived with Easter in a couple of days and the buds starting to appear on the trees. You will be pleased to hear that from being at deaths door a month ago I'm just about back to where I started health wise! Now to get back on my bikes and raise my fitness and health level, get back in the groove and generally get my life back into some sort of order!

The good news is that I've started writing again and the fruits of that should see light of day next time with the completion of Sam an tha 4 . I've also been looking at where I'm going to take Gaby and I've been looking at more new plots for Nena too. Life has been a bit weird and stressful lately but I think I've turned the corner and you will start to see the results in the next few weeks.

T he Fanfic authors have once again been tapping away at their keyboards allowing me to bring you more of Rough Waters and Whatever Next which you can find on the Fanfic page. For next time there will be a new edition of Rhod's Trip To America as well as more reading matter from PB.

28th March 2007
More Fanfic chapters

I'm certainly well on the way to recovery but my powers of concentration are still not all they could be so I'm afraid my own scribbles are still on hold. On the other hand the Fanfic authors have been pouring the words out and the next instalments of Rough Waters and Whatever Next are up on the Fanfic page from today.

21st March 2007
At last - something to read!

The doctor thinks the stress of the move might be the culprit but at any rate I've been quite ill with a serious chest infection. If not entirely bed ridden I've been incapable of stringing a new sentence together as my concentration is totally shot so I'm afraid there's no new Maddy scribbles. At the moment I'm just concentrating on my health so I don't know when that situation will change - watch this space I guess.

But I did mention some reading material, well it comes courtesy of the Fanfic authors - Joni, Angharad and PB have all made new contributions and they all make excellent reading. On top of that I've had word from Elsa that she's set to start more of her tale and I hope to see something from Cat before she departs for parts foreign! I guess you want the link too? Okay here you go Fanfic central is just a click away.

The only other thing I have for you this week is an update to Ceinwen's Gallery , I don't want to make any writing promises as my health is still pretty delicate.

7th March 2007
Excuses, excuses

So okay I'm physically moved but thats as far as it goes! I haven't had the time / energy/ motivation to do anything with all the stuff I have to put up - fanfic chapters etc so rather than go half cocked I'll not post anything this week but expect a bumper edition next time after i've adjusted to this time zone!

21st February 2007
Moving Time

We still haven't managed to fix everything after the recent server attack so I'm hoping you are reading this close to when I want you to! Due to my move I won't be updating for at least a fortnight, I hope to arrange a similar schedule to the last couple of years but it might have to change, I'll keep you informed. For this time I've tried to incorporate all the revisions I'm aware of besides adding some new reading matter to tide you all over.

At Fanfic central there is a revised version of Reconciliation part 9 as well as two further chapters of its prequel, Rough Waters ! Just to square things for people, last weeks request to authors wasn't intended as a jibe or threat - I'd just like to know whether to expect more or to 'close' those stories. I for one would like to see all of them completed but I'm well aware that it can be difficult and other things in life can get in the way.

Due to a time shortage I have unfortunately not managed to finish the new Sam an tha chapter but you can read the start here . I will have it finished for next time - it's a long flight next week and I hope to use it to catch up on some writing. The same applies to Morag and I've been working through some ideas for Goth Princess too so make a date to return next month.

Coming Next Time

14th February 2007
Happy Valentines!

A lot has happened in the last few weeks, an attack on the server which hosts both this site and the Gabyzone. That resulted in unscheduled downtime which delayed the last update by almost a week which is why there wasn't an update dated the 7th of February. I've also been busy with other stuff, I'll be moving back to the UK at the end of the month - all sorts of reasons but the up side is that I might get to meet a few of you! It will also mean that I can return to my career in Archaeology and take a more 'hands on' stance with the publishing business that I am a partner in.
The result is that I shall be off line for a week while I fly north and get settled in to my new abode near my parents. It's not been an easy decision to make but I feel it's right for now although I may well move again, but to mainland Europe. All contact information will be the same of course although the time tabling for updates etc may well have to change. Enough about me, you came in search of entertaiment so lets see what I can find.

The Fanfics are increasing in number with a new tale starting this week as well as a new chapter. The first of these is the second part of part 3 of Angharad's trilogy titled Whatever Next . Then due to poular demand PB has started the second in the Reconciliation trilogy, Rough Waters which in true Star Wars stylee is actually the prequel to Reconciliation! Just a reminder to the authors - there are currently 8, yes 8 fanfics in progress that haven't had any recent updates, I know its not always easy to write but if you could just drop me a note so I know whether you will be continuing or not it would be appreciated.

So you don't start accusing me of double standards, I'm pleased to announce that a new short story from moi starts today, Morag's School Day's . Set on the west coast of Scotland this tale follows the Cartwight family through tragedy and humour as we follow Morag as she starts at the big secondary school after attending the village school. Not sure how long it will run or where it's going but sit back and enjoy.

Next I'd like to introduce to you someone who will be making regular appearances here from now on. Her name is Ceinwen (pronounced Kyne-wen) which means 'fine white one' and she's not as surly as she sometimes appears! In future weeks she will be presenting Ceinwen's Travels as well as acting in a new project based on Japanese manga. If you click on the picture you can go to her own website for more pictures, links etc.

Coming Next Week

That promised part 4 of Sam an tha!

Not much this week I'm afraid the Fanfic 's only see the last chapter in PB's Reconciliation tale, but you do get music too! I don't have any more Fanfic stuff to post for now so it looks like we will have a quiet week next time! (hint)

Finally the third part of Nena & the Chris-Less Markets has been completed! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

For those of you that like paper books I can announce the release of the fourth Gaby book, Once Upon a Time in America. It has almost all the illustrations and runs to nearly 500 pages!

Weather you want it or not

I know some of you have been having some horrid weather so i hope this weeks post cheers you up a bit. Gaby Fanfic 's see another new addition with the first chapter of Angharad's new missive, Whatever Next? We also get to read the penultimate chapter in PB's Reconciliation tale, what will the Maids of Ahrweiler do next?

The third part of Nena & the Chris-Less Markets has been delayed as I've had a busy week but it will be up next time, honest! In the meantime part two has been updated with a bit of German thanks to Saphi, have a look and see if you can make sense of it.

One of the 'side' projects i've had some small involvement in over recent weeks is the new German language story exchange site, Tor der Träume or Portal of Dreams, which Saphira, Meri and Sidonie have been working on. If German is your preferred language or even if you just want to try and improve your language skills pop along to for a look see. I am supporting the project as best I can and the German translation of Gaby will be posted there as well as here.

Coming Next Week

Worth The Wait?

This week we have some new Gaby Fanfic chapters, but not just any old fanfics, nooo, they are all classics! So pop over to read a new chapter in Kate Hart's Drew's Meltdown, a long awaited addition to Angel O'Hare's Angel Meets Drew and another stunning chapter in PB's Reconciliation tale.

The second part of Nena & the Chris-Less Markets is now up too, what does our heroine get up to on day three of the trip?

On the publishing front, Gaby Pocket Series 20 – Café Girl and Gaby Pocket Series 21 – Helens Wheels are now available from Scaramouch books. Remember, by buying Gaby books you support the Mermaid charity for youngsters with gender issues.

If you want to influence which stories I work on over the coming weeks pop over to the Gabyzone link where you can find some short synopsis for you to comment on. So pop into the forum and either comment there or mail me here .

Happy New Year II!

That's it then, the festive season is over and we start the countdown to 2008! I hope you all had a good holiday season and that my contribution to your entertaiment wasn't too terrible to read. A Word Young Bond has already been likened to a Dynasty (Die nasty) script, well a girl has to use some ploy to hook you all! Drew and the gang will return later in the year and I promise it won't be a Dynasty type dream episode!

For this week we have some Gaby Fanfics for you to read, Rhods Trip To America from Joni and Reconciliation from PB both have new chapters this week. So bob over to the Fanfic page to have a read.

If you haven't done so already pop into The Big Closet and have a read of the holiday competition stories there, i have a couple of entries myself so enjoy.
