What's with the site?
Hey everybody! You're probably wondering what's going on with the site, hmm? You know-- www.ffstories.com. I know it's not working right now, and frankly, I don't know why! It was working as recently as Sunday but then on Tuesday when I tried to access it I kept getting a message that said, "www.ffstories.com cannot be found". I e-mailed the Webmaster and he wrote me back to say that he was aware of the problem and would get it running again ASAP. And it looks like some progress has been made-- I no longer get that original error message anymore, just some kinda database error. Small steps, right!?!Anyway! Until the new site is back I'm going to play around here instead. Feel free to post comments to this blog (you can post anonymously) or e-mail me at "punkygirl04 AT gmail DOT com".
So, what to talk about now? Hmm.... well, first of all, I have the whole week off
of work! Why? To do Christmas shopping of course! Just kidding... actually, my boss sent me to the doctor's office on Monday because I had a really bad cough. Long story short, I have strep throat. Yuck, I know! But the good news is that I feel a TON better but the doctor won't let me back at work until Monday! Sort of a vacation, you know? I even get paid for this. God bless America...!Let's get back to the site for a second... I'm sort of stressed out about it right now. I know the webmaster is doing all he can to get it back up and running, but I am so sick of having my sites go down! Most of you probably remember the ".net" site I had for about a year, right? Remember when that went down (and was replaced with ffstories.com)? I had to do a shitload of work to get everything transferred to the new site! And now that that has gone down, I've done a bunch of work to get this blog running so that (at the very least) those of you who never lost my original web-address will know I'm still around. But it sucks!!! Part of me feels that maybe I should just do this ASSTR/blog thing instead from now on. ASSTR will always be around, as will blogspot, so it's tempting... what do you all think?
I should probably go now. I'm thinking of going tanning today... it's gotten so cold here, but I refuse to accept that summer is over! I'll see you all later...-shannon-

I'm not abandoning it!!! It's down through no fault of my own... and I don't know if it'll come back. In case it doesn't I'm updating the ASSTR site, that's all...!
Happened across your blog today. Interesting stuff. Can't say I have seen the site that you are talking about, but sounds like it is really frustrating you. Hope you get it all resolved. If it works for you, then you should try to keep it going.
Looks like who ever is designing/hosting your site is using e107 CMS. The system is still in development, from the error message either the datbase is down/damaged. Fun sites you have going....keep up the good work.

Not seen your site but sounds huge fun. I am independent also and understand the frustration, take care and keep struggling on without giving up.
There are precious few independent thinking people around so that makes you precious also. If you consider giving up and need some inspiration, look what I have done on my website.
