OPENING DOORS © 2003-2007 By Lessa and Takara Soong
Raygan was feeling very apprehensive in the morning. She was having trouble eating breakfast as she kept thinking about Commander Maddox and that made her stomach feel upset. They were dressed and at the lab by 0700 hours. Maddox was late which really annoyed Raygan. When he finally arrived fifteen minutes later, he did not apologize for his tardiness. He saw Raygan with Data and approached them. "Are you authorized to be here, Commander?" he said to Raygan. "Commander Maddox, I would like to introduce you to Lieutenant Commander Raygan Soong, my wife," Data told Maddox before Raygan could say anything. "Your wife?" Maddox echoed incredulously. "Yes, Commander, Data and I were married yesterday," she said as she slipped her hand into Data's to emphasize their togetherness. "I see. You still haven't answered my question yet. Are you authorized to be here?" "She is. I have arranged for Commander La Forge and my wife to have access to the lab. They wish to be present to observe our work," Data said diplomatically. "Just as long as they don't get in the way," Maddox stressed with an impatient expression on his tight little face. Data's expression became one of irritation. "I remind you, Commander, that you are here at my request. If Commander La Forge or Commander Soong get in your way, you will politely ask them to step aside. I will not have either of them treated with disrespect. Is that understood, Commander?" Maddox's expression got even tighter. He had not liked being reminded of this fact one damned bit. Maddox stared at Data with his pinched expression for several minutes before speaking. "You installed the emotion chip, didn't you?" the man asked. "Yes, almost a mouth ago. As such, it is now possible to offend me, sir. I will try to be patient, however I cannot guarantee I will not become angry should actions be taken of which I do not approve." Data did not intend to sound threatening, but that was how it sounded. Maddox recoiled slightly from the android, now appearing stunned. "If you are ready, sir, I will have Lore's head and body beamed in," Data informed him, before tapping his comm badge. Lore’s head was sealed in a locked case only Data could open without destroying the contents inside. When the cases materialized, Data picked up the smaller case, bringing it to a table in the lab where he unlocked and opened the lid. He carefully removed Lore's head and placed it on a stand on the table. Raygan was shocked by how identical Data and Lore look and a little shaken at the sight of seeing Lore's head. Data turned to Raygan before proceeding with opening a panel in Lore's head. "Raygan, we will be running diagnostics on Lore for most of the day. If you wish to visit with your parents before they leave..." Raygan nodded her head. "Call me if you need me," she told Data. She kissed him before leaving the lab. "I love you," she called from the door. Data looked up and smiled warmly at her. "I love you too. I should be home by 1800 hours," he told her. Raygan nodded her head as she hesitantly exited the room. "Is she afraid I'm going to dismantle you, Data?" Maddox asked, his expression indicating both displeasure and disbelief of the display he had just witnessed. "Yes, both my wife and Commander La Forge are concerned you may indeed try just that, Commander. However, I have faith you will not do anything to jeopardize my life." Maddox still looked doubtful. "Why did you marry her, Data? And more to the point, why did she marry you? Is it some kind of trick you're playing on me?" He did not look amused, if it was. "This is no trick, Commander. We were married for the same reason as any other beings marry. We love each other very much and we are bonded together by that love in a very special way," he told Maddox. "And her family approves of this marriage?" Maddox asked doubtfully. "Yes, Commander, they do. They participated in the ceremony and have welcomed me into their family. I fail to understand why this surprises you," Data was becoming a little irritated of Maddox’s questioning his relationship with Raygan. "What does that mean to you, Data? Love?" Maddox looked at Data, staring deeply into the android's golden eyes. Data stared right back, doubting anything he said would change this stubborn man's mind. "It means I wish to share myself, all that I am, with her. I want to know all there is to know about her. I respect her, trust her, and believe in her. I wish to be there for her should she be in trouble, I trust her to be there for me. I will do anything in my power to see to her happiness. I would die for her." It was the last sentence that seemed to penetrate Maddox's veil of disbelief. The graying man recoiled slightly, almost as though Data had struck him. "You were very protective of your life the last time we met, Data. You fought me tooth and nail to do what you saw as protecting your life, and now you say you would give it up for one woman?" "Would it then surprise you to learn she too would give her life to protect me?" Data asked, in a cocky voice. "You believe that do you, Data?" Maddox asked in disbelief. "Yes, Commander, I do. Raygan has saved my life once already," Data stated in a matter of fact tone. "Now, if you do not have more questions of a personal nature, I suggest we begin our work on Lore." They began by running a series of diagnostics on Lore’s systems in order to start repairing the damage caused when Data was forced to fire upon him. Data also downloaded copies of all of Lore's programming to study, in order to find any differences between the two that may need to be adjusted in Lore. They worked straight through the day with infrequent breaks and few words, except regarding the work on Lore. Repairing the damage to Lore's body was much easier than repairing the errors to his programming. The installation of Data's emotion chip in Lore had further corrupted his systems, causing a path of scrambled neural pathways that traversed the whole of Lore's neural nets. It did seem the most extensive damage centered in Lore's ethical program and some of the emotional routines dealing with anger. This seemed to cause Lore to go from disturbed to enraged instantly and curtailed his ability to calm himself for an extended period. With the corruption to his ethical program, the anger Lore could not control had no ethical boundaries to prevent him from acting out on that anger. It would take time to rebuild these pathways, but the damage was readily apparent. Lore's ethical programs would definitely need to be replaced. Logically, copying Data's ethical sub-routine over Lore’s corrupted one would be the most practical answer. Their research indicated Data's sub-routines would be compatible to Lore, so they made plans to do just that when the time came. It was getting late in the evening when Raygan returned to the lab. She still found it unsettling to see Lore like that as visions of Maddox over Data's disassembled body haunted her. But Data beaming when he saw Raygan helped to push back her fears. "I don't mean to interrupt your work, Data. I was just wondering how late you were going to be this evening?" Raygan asked quietly as she could tell Maddox felt she was interrupting them. "We have just completed analyzing the last diagnostic so I believe now would be a good time to end our work for today. Do you not agree, Commander?" Data asked Maddox, who nodded his head in forced agreement. "I will lock up the lab, Commander. Good night." As soon as Maddox had left, Data pulled Raygan into his arms and kissed her. "Let's get out of here, Data. I get such bad feelings when I come in here. It scares me." "There is no reason to fear, Raygan. Lore has not been fully activated and will not be for at least a week. There was extensive damage, however we believe all of it can be repaired." Data locked Lore's head back in the box where it had been stored. He then took Raygan's hand and led her out of the lab. They headed to the lounge for dinner and arrived just in time to run into Geordi and Lieutenant Reg Barclay. The pair joined the couple for dinner and exchanged stories of each other’s day of work. "Do you think you and Maddox will be able to get Lore on his feet again, Data?" Geordi asked over after dinner drinks. "I believe so. However, it will require trusting Maddox to transfer some of my sub-routines to Lore." Raygan did not look very happy to hear this news. They talked about Lore and the work with Maddox for a short time before Raygan spoke up. "Would you mind if we talked about something else for a while?" Raygan asked in a shaky voice. "Geordi, Reg, why don't you tell us about your shore leaves." The three men could see Raygan was becoming rather pale. "Raygan, are you okay?" Data whispered. "With everything you’ve told me about Lore, Maddox scares me more," she admitted. They spent the rest of dinner talking about what they all did on shore leave. It was a nice diversion for Raygan, although Maddox was never completely out of her mind. When they returned to their quarters, Data and Raygan silently got ready for bed. After Raygan lay down, Data slid next to her. "Data, hold me please. I need you to hold me tightly," she pleaded. Data wrapped his arms around Raygan and held her snuggly against him. "I don't trust Maddox, Data. I want you to promise me you will not, under any circumstances, allow him to touch you without either Geordi or I there. Please, Data, I beg you, promise me!" She was in tears as Data pulled back to take her chin in his hand. "I will comply with your request, Raygan. I have limited trust in the man as it is. But you need not be this concerned, I-" "I have every reason to be this concerned. You are my husband, my life. I would choose you over anyone or anything. I don't even want to think about trying to live without you." She was trying to keep control of her voice, but failing. Data smiled at her. He thought back to this morning and how Maddox seemed to disbelieve Raygan felt as strongly about her android husband as Data claimed she did. Data kissed her forehead tenderly and pulled her close again. "I do not foresee any danger of us being separated, Raygan. I love you now and I will love you forever, no matter what happens." Data and Maddox had been working on Lore for two weeks when it was finally time for some of Data's sub-routines to be copied and transferred to Lore. Both Geordi and Raygan were present in the lab. Data had requested Geordi be there for Raygan and Raygan had asked Geordi to be there to keep an eye on Maddox. The transfer went smoothly at first but then Geordi could see something was not right. "Commander, stop the transfer!" Geordi called out. "There’s nothing wrong, La Forge. You are here to observe and nothing more," Maddox replied angrily. Data's body began to twitch when Geordi rushed over to Maddox. "Stop it now or I will," he demanded. Maddox shut down the transfer as Raygan rushed to Data. Maddox and Geordi ran diagnostics to determine what had happened and whether Data had been damaged. It was twenty long minutes before Data opened his eyes and sat up. "Geordi? Commander Maddox? What has happened?" Data asked. Maddox explained the problem from the download and both men asked Data how he was. “I do not understand what is happening?” Data looked more confused after the explanation and even more so when Raygan came over and took hold of his arm. "Commander Silver, what are you doing here?" he asked. Raygan was now in complete shock. "What did you call me?" she asked in disbelief. "Commander Silver, that is your name," Data stated matter of factly. Geordi and Raygan exchanged confused looks as Maddox just stood by, looking bored and guiltless. "Data, who is Raygan to you?" Geordi asked, with a sense of urgency in his voice. Data gave him a very puzzled expression. "I am familiar with her. She is a crewmate. She has been aboard the Enterprise for five days, eight hours and twenty-three minutes. Geordi, I do not believe I am functioning properly, I-I feel something. How is that possible?" Geordi was at a loss. Raygan had grabbed on to his shirt and was gripping it in stunned silence as tears ran down her face. His best friend had just lost a significant portion of his life, including the installation of his emotion chip and falling in love with his wife. Geordi ordered Maddox to bring a chair for Raygan and sat her gently into it. "Let me check him over, Raygan. It may be he just can't access the memories right now. Let me get in there and see what’s going on, okay?" Raygan nodded with desperately hopeful eyes. Glaring at Maddox, La Forge ran several scans while briefly explaining to Data that he appeared to have lost some of his memories. It took Geordi only twelve minutes to find a number of Data's memory engrams had been terribly damaged due to a power surge that had run through Data's net. "Why the hell didn't you have the power levels set up for constant monitoring? You could have killed him." Geordi's temper flared at this total lack of alarm Maddox was displaying. Geordi removed the engrams affected and showed them to Data. The android looked sick. With a sad expression on his face, Data whispered, "Geordi, what have I forgotten?" "A lot, my friend," Geordi replied. He then tapped his communicator, "La Forge to Counselor Troi, please report to cybernetics lab #4 as soon as possible." Deanna Troi's voice came back acknowledging the request. Raygan was sobbing uncontrollably when Deanna arrived. Data was still very confused by what was going on. Geordi and Deanna spoke for several minutes so he could fill her in on what had happened. Deanna then approached Raygan and suggested they go to her quarters to talk. Raygan was too distraught to argue so she left with the counselor. "We have a lot to talk about, my friend. These memory engrams seem to represent about three and a half months of memories. I don't know where to start," Geordi told him, helplessly. Geordi and Data went to Geordi's temporary quarters. Geordi told Data about the destruction of the Enterprise-D as they walked. After they reached his quarters, Geordi watched as Data accessed the report of the inquest. "Geordi, I feel. Why is that?" Data asked. "You installed your emotion chip about two months ago." "I see. Why was Commander Silver so upset?" "You can't remember anything about your time with Raygan?" "Raygan? You are on a first name basis with Commander Silver?" Data questioned. "You and Raygan have a very special relationship, Data. You formed a strong friendship, which grew into more. You installed your emotion chip so you could feel love. Raygan is upset because her name isn't Raygan Silver. It's Raygan Soong. Data, you married Raygan two weeks ago. I was your best man." Data sat in stunned silence. "I do not remember any of that," he finally said. “I know, Data, I know.” Data and Geordi talked for quite a while, but Geordi decided what he had told his friend about his relationship with Raygan was enough. Anything else about her, Data needed to get from Raygan. But that was not going to be easy for either of them. While Data did not remember anything from this missing time, Geordi had told him it may be possible to retrieve something from the damaged engrams, but it would take time. Data decided he should talk to Commander Silver - Soong? Raygan? - himself. Data found out from the computer she was in quarters which were listed as belonging to both of them. He headed there with uncertainty. Emotions were strange things. He was sure he was afraid, but he was not sure why. He entered a room he found partly comforting and partly foreign. Spot greeted him and that was pleasing, but when a tearful woman appeared from the bedroom, Data was at a loss. “I do not know what to do. Geordi tells me we were wed. You married me?” The very thought seemed almost ridiculous. She was a young and very beautiful woman. Why would she love him? “Yes,” was all Raygan could bear to say. Troi had warned Raygan to take things slowly with Data. He was, in some ways, a victim of amnesia but, as it was unlikely Data’s memories would be recovered, Troi was not sure how best to advise Raygan. “Do you remember anything about us?” she asked, moving towards the couch. Data came further into the room and joined her when she sat. He did not sit close, though. “I only remember greeting you when you came aboard, giving you a tour of your quarters and your department and then escorting you to a briefing. I had very little contact with you after that. What happened next? Can you tell me please?” Data inquired, politely. “Spot found her way into my quarters a second time. She decided she liked me and I liked her, too. Then there was this phenomenon and you wanted to know how I figured out what it was, we got to talking about Sherlock Holmes and-“ “You have read Sherlock Holmes?” Data asked, with wonder and enthusiasm. Raygan gave him a slow, but gentle smile. "That is how our friendship started, Data. We were in Ten Forward talking about the phenomenon and I used a Holmes axiom. You reacted exactly like you just did. Later, you lent me your volume of the complete works of Holmes and, as I read each story, we would discuss it for hours. Those were very special times for me." "Please tell me more," Data encouraged Raygan. "We spent a lot of time together, Data, but not just discussing Holmes. You took me on a complete tour of the Enterprise-D. We had dinner together more and more often. We just clicked from the very start,“ Raygan paused. "When we were on the Farragut, after the crash, we were invited to the holodeck for a Dixon Hill mystery by Captain Picard," Raygan then pointed to a picture hanging in their quarters. "You painted that. It was a gift for me." Data stood up and walked over to the painting to study it closer. It was definitely one of his works. He was amazed at the depth of emotion the painting displayed. It was certainly one of his best. He rejoined Raygan on the couch. "Please continue," Data urged. “It got to-" Raygan broke off her sentence, unable to continue. It was killing her that Data could no longer remember their time together. What would happen now? Would he want to end their marriage? She lowered her head, covering her face with her hands. The tears came again. "Please do not cry, Comman- Raygan," Data pleaded. He felt compelled to comfort her, but was unsure how. Slowly he reached out and just touched her shoulder. Raygan sniffed. Turning to scan the room, Data found a towel and brought it to Raygan to dry her eyes. "Thank you. I'm sorry. I promised myself I wouldn't fall apart again, but I just don't want to lose you, Data." Data sat back down beside her. "I am not completely lost. I do remember meeting you. I did enjoy that meeting," he told her, trying to be encouraging. Raygan gave him a grateful smile and reached over to place her hand in his. Puzzled, Data looked down at their hands, his golden hand holding her light tan one. ~ Married. I am married to this woman. Does that mean... ~ "Raygan, we were married two weeks ago, correct?" Data asked, hesitantly. She nodded sadly, realizing this was not a resurfacing memory. "Then, would I be correct in assuming we have been intimate?" "Yes. We made love just last night - five times," she admitted, oddly embarrassed. "Five times!" Data repeated, astounded. "We're newlyweds. We're allowed to be amorous. You see something wrong with a husband and wife enjoying a healthy sex life?" she asked, defensively. "No," Data said, taken aback. "I simply would not have expected it to be that healthy." "Yes, it was that healthy and wonderful. Access information on Rekellian women and sexuality. My mother is Rekellian and my father is human. My Rekellian genes are dominant," she instructed Data. Data took a few moments to access this information. "Ah, I see," was his comment once he had finished processing what he had accessed. Spot jumped up on the couch and curled up in Raygan's lap. Raygan absentmindedly stroked Spot's fur. The cat's loud purring soon stopped as she had fallen asleep. "That is amazing. I know you said Spot liked you but I have never seen her behave like this...that I can remember," Data added quickly. Data watched Spot sleep for a moment before turning to Raygan. "I am surprised a woman as beautiful and intelligent as you would marry an android," Data commented. "I married you because I love you, Data." Raygan sounded offended by his remark. "I did not mean to offend you. It has been my experience that most woman do not wish to become involved with an artificial life form," Data apologized. "Well, I'm not most women. From the first moments of our friendship it surprised me that you weren’t involved with anyone romantically. You are the most incredible man I've ever known." Raygan said as the tears began to form in her eyes again. Spot woke up, sensing her distress. The feline rubbed against the female in an attempt to calm her mistress. Data was again astounded at this behavior coming from his always selective pet. “I am regretful that this situation has caused you so much pain. If you wish, I will leave you alone for a time.” Data got to his feet and Raygan jumped to hers, displacing Spot, who yowled her objection. “Where will you go? These are our quarters. Are you...are you planning on leaving me?” Raygan asked, fighting back sobs. “Raygan, I cannot stay here with you at this time. It would not be proper. I will stay temporarily with Geordi or I will see if I can acquire new quarters. Geordi and I will work together to see if any information can be saved from my damaged memory engrams. I will inform you of our progress.” She was devastated. “That’s it then? It’s over? You’re not even going to try and continue our marriage? How will you know what you’re giving up if you leave?” she all but shouted at him. Raygan looked around the room in desperation. Spotting her target, she raced across the room, retrieving a holo-frame from a table. She handed it stiffly to Data. “Look at it. It was your wedding gift to me. You want memories, here are some. You loved me and I love you.” Data looked at the image currently showing. While he did not remember it, he had added this image of their wedding just three days ago. Data took the frame and moved to sit back on the couch. He touched the activation button and the two people in the wedding scene embraced and kissed, passionately. While he watched, the scene changed many times. Data watched the images over and over again as Raygan sat at the other end of the couch to study Data's expressions. He was still so confused. The more he watched the images, the more it seemed like he was watching himself in a play. How could these be real? "We look like we were very happy," he finally commented. "We were," Raygan whispered. "I still believe it would be best if I stayed with Geordi on a temporary basis. I would like to get to know you better, Raygan, before we make any decisions on our respective futures." Data turned to leave their quarters. "Data, it's very late. Stay here tonight. I won't bother you." Raygan turned and went back to the bedroom, exhausted from the emotional turmoil of the day. Data decided it would be better to not bother Geordi, as the hour was quite late. He sat back down on the couch and picked up the holo-frame to watch the images again. He put the frame down and moved to the computer where he began to access his personal logs starting with the first day he could remember. There was a gap in his logs from the day the inquiry ended until the day of the wedding. Still, he was amazed at how much he had spoken of Raygan in his logs and how his affection for her was so evident even before he had installed the emotion chip. As he finished watching the entries starting the day after the wedding, he noticed a file in his logs entitled ‘Ceremony’ and opened it. It was the holo-recording his log had indicated he had promised his mother. It puzzled him that he did not understand much of what was said during the ceremony. It was his voice speaking a language he did not understand. Was that Rekellian? When he finished accessing everything, he quietly walked to the entrance of the bedroom and looked in. Staring at Raygan while she slept, he analyzed everything he had seen from his logs. He returned to the couch, laid down and activated his dream program. Data was only on the couch for two hours when Spot jumped heavily onto him, pulling him from his dreams. He sat up in the dark to stroke his pet’s fur. He thought of his past attempts at forming this kind of relationship and how he had utterly failed. He found it so inconceivable that he had not only fallen in love with this woman but convinced her to marry him too. Data went back to the computer to re-watch the wedding now that he had finished processing Rekellian from the Federation language banks and understood it. As he watched himself kissing the bride, Data wondered what that kiss had been like. Raygan had told him they had made love only the night before. What had that been like? Data again found himself standing at the door to the bedroom, staring at his sleeping wife. Spot walked by him and jumped on the bed, licking Raygan's face and waking her. "Spot," Raygan complained. "What is it?" Raygan sat up and noticed the confused looking android standing in her doorway before he turned away. Raygan got out of bed and went to the living room to check on Data. "Data?" she called out softly. "Computer, raise lighting level to half illumination." She could see Data sitting on the couch looking at her. "Would you like to talk some more?" "I would but I do not wish to disturb your sleep time," he replied. "You aren't. I'll be fine," she assured him. "I have processed all available information and I am very confused," his voice trailed off. "There is a gap in my personal logs from when the inquiry into the Enterprise-D's destruction ended until just before our wedding. Were we together during that time?" "Every moment," she responded. "I went to my parents' home in Barbados during the inquiry and then you and Spot joined me there. We made love for the first time in Barbados." Raygan paused for a moment. “We then went on a holiday together while Spot stayed with my parents." "Spot likes your parents too?" Data asked incredulously. "Yes, she does. We went to London and visited the Sherlock Holmes museum. We ran into some trouble there from some anti-technology crazies and left the next day though. From London we went to Alaska and stayed with Will. We had a wonderful time there. In fact, it was in Alaska that you proposed." Raygan smiled at the memory of that day. "Then Commander Riker witnessed my proposal?" Data asked, considering a meeting with the man to ask him what he remembered of the events that Data did not. "No, he wasn't there, Data. We were in bed when you asked me to marry you. We had just made love," she explained. "We were in Commander Riker's home in Alaska and we were intimate? Had I suffered damage to my modesty sub-routine?" he asked, incredulously. The events she relayed sounded so unlike him. But he was not used to having emotions. He found his new feelings shockingly difficult to deal with in addition to learning all of what he had lost. "No, you were fine until Maddox," she said, suddenly angry. She got to her feet and started to pace, furious. "I knew something was going to happen. That bastard hasn't even offered up an apology. You told me he kept asking you little questions about us, like he didn't believe we could really be in love. Well, he found a way to ruin it, didn't he?" she fumed. Data got to his feet and came to stand in her pacing path. "I am sorry," he told her. Raygan's shoulders slumped. "Oh Data. No, I'm the one who's sorry. I'm being so selfish. You don't know how thankful I am you weren't seriously hurt. Of all the things that could have happened, this is minor. I know all this is extremely confusing. Do you have any questions you’d like to ask?" "Do you believe this was not an accident?" "I've thought about it a great deal. I don't know if it was an accident or he did it on purpose. Maddox dismissed Geordi's concerns during the transfer and when Geordi asked why he hadn't been monitoring the power levels, Maddox didn't answer. If Maddox didn't plan it then he let it happen." Raygan stated. "I don't know if Geordi feels differently but that's the way I feel." Data decided to discuss what had happened with Geordi to get his perspective. He also decided he would have to talk to Commander Riker to find out what had happened in Alaska. "Data, when you look at me, do you feel anything?" Raygan asked. "I feel many things but I do not understand what they mean," he responded. "I hope in time you will." She reached out and touched his hand. "When you touch me, what is that?" Data asked confused. "That is the second time you have touched me and I have felt an energy.” Raygan smiled at the knowledge Data could still feel their special bond. "After we were married, we had a Rekellian bonding ceremony. The energy you feel is the special bond created by our love. The more we touch, the greater the energy." She held both of Data's hands to demonstrate this to him. "When we make love, it’s even more incredible." Data eyes turned to saucers at the thought. “I see. Raygan, I do not wish to upset you again, but I believe it would be best for me to go now. I have much to process and you still need your rest. I will go to the lab and review what Commander Maddox and I have done thus far with Lore. I do not recall any of the details there either. We will speak again soon, I am sure.” Raygan decided Data just wanted time to work through this as he said, and agreed to let him go but she kissed him on the cheek first. Data left their quarters with his hand over that spot and a bemused expression on his face. There was much to review in the lab. Data was still there when Maddox arrived in the morning. Still cocky and completely unabashed about the events of the previous day, Maddox’s only concern was if the transfers had been successful. Geordi came in just as the commander was suggesting Lore be completely reactivated. Data agreed so Geordi contacted security to make sure the restraints they had were in perfect working order. Once four fully armed guards were there, Data activated Lore. Lore opened his eyes instantly. Data faced him, watching as his brother ran a self-diagnostic. “I’m pleased to see you, my brother, but- Data, what have you done to me?” Lore’s eyes were moving in the particular way that told everyone he was processing information. His expression turned to one of disappointment. “Data - a new ethical program - why did you have to that? We could’ve had such fun together. Hmmmm, you took the chip out too.” “Yeah, it’s where it belongs now, Lore - in Data,” Geordi piped up, coming into Lore’s range of view. “You lived? You humans are more resilient than I expected.” Lore gave Geordi a patronizing grin and shook his head. “What the hell?” Everyone turned to see Raygan Soong walk angrily into the room. "None of you had the decency to inform me about this?" Raygan pointed towards Lore. "Why would we need to inform you?" Maddox questioned. "You have no vested interest in our work here. We didn't-" "I disagree and I apologize for not informing you of our decision to activate Lore," Data interrupted. "Will someone remove these restraints and introduce me to the beautiful lady?" Lore requested. "Is he fixed?" Raygan asked. "We need to run a number of diagnostics, however the new ethical program appears to have been successfully installed," Data responded. "Commander Soong, I think it would be best if you left us to our work," Maddox said condescendingly. "Please, come see me later, Data?" Raygan asked. "I will," Data agreed. Raygan left the lab, leaving Data, Geordi and Maddox to continue their work on Lore. "Commander Soong? Data, what haven't you told me?" Lore prodded Data. "If you consider we have not spoken for over two years and even before that, you and I did not exchange much in the way of chit chat, I would say, quite a lot," Data answered, rather flippantly. Geordi looked surprised at this, but Lore looked delighted. "You really did install the chip, Data. Is the woman yours?" Lore asked, eager to know. Data did not look eager to tell however. “Tell me, brother, is she or isn’t she. I want to know if she's fair game." "Are you sure that ethical program is working, Data?" Geordi interjected. He frowned at Lore. "I don't want him trying to pretend to be you again and upsetting Raygan." "Raygan - lovely name, lovely woman, " Lore smirked. "I believe I will deactivate your speech center, brother. You are irritating me." Data reached over and, applying a tool to an area of Lore’s neck, did just that as Lore gave him a frustrated glare. They ran the diagnostics on Lore and were happy that all of his systems were operating within normal parameters especially the new ethical program. Data reactivated Lore's speech and reluctantly released Lore from the restraints at Maddox's insistence. "You didn’t answer my question regarding Raygan, Data. Are the two of you together or is she free to see others. I would never try to come between you and your wife." "It is a very complicated situation at the moment. I would appreciate your staying away from Raygan until we have resolved things," Data instructed Lore. "Of course, brother. Anything you want although I would like to at least be introduced to this new member of our family. Would that be possible, brother?" Lore requested. "I will ask Raygan if that is acceptable. And if you are considering impersonating me to meet Raygan, as Geordi has suggested, it will not work. She will know it is not me." "Brother, I would never think of impersonating you. That would be unethical," Lore grinned. Data wanted to believe Lore, but made a note to speak with Raygan to be sure she would only feel that special energy if he touched her and not Lore. Maddox had devised several tests for Lore to analyze his emotional responses and determine if he was reacting closer to human norms. Two security guards where left behind to watch Lore while Data excused himself to go speak with Raygan. "Data," Geordi called, following him into the corridor. "I know you don't remember your feelings for Raygan, but I want you to promise me not to be too hasty in deciding what to do. Give it time. Get to know her again. She's a special woman and you were lucky to find each other." Data smiled at his friend. "Thank you, Geordi. I will remember your advice. I have no plans at this time to take steps, however, I would request to be allowed to stay with you for a time until Raygan and I are better acquainted." Data's expression was one of earnest regret. "Data, are you sure you want to move out of your quarters?" Data explained it was only a temporary measure so Geordi reluctantly agreed. Data continued on to speak with Raygan. She was sitting at their dining table, picking at a meal, but not eating. She stood up when Data entered and had to fight the impulse to leap into his arms. "I apologize for not informing you of Lore’s activation,” he began. Coming close to the table he asked if he could join her with a look. She nodded and he sat. "I was simply worried, Data. You've told me that Lore was a danger to the Enterprise and especially to you in the past. I don't want you hurt more. I was worried. I'm sorry if I embarrassed you by the way I reacted." She did look very remorseful. "You did not embarrass me," Data smiled. "Raygan, this energy we have when we touch, can it be felt with any others?" "No, Data, only you and I. Why?" Raygan asked. "Lore has impersonated me in the past. I have told him you would be able to tell the difference between us should he try to impersonate me again. I wanted to confirm that was true." "Even if we did not have this bond, I would still be able to tell you apart, Data," Raygan smiled. "Lore has asked to meet you. If you do not wish it, I will inform him that you have declined his request." "If you’re present, I will meet him but not now. Can you stay for a while so we can talk some more?" Raygan asked. "Yes, I can stay to talk longer.” As they moved to the couch, Data added, “Geordi has agreed to let me stay with him temporarily however I think it would be best if Spot were to stay here with you." Raygan nodded her head in agreement. "What do you wish to talk about?" "How about ‘The Hound of the Baskervilles’?" Raygan smiled. Data smiled slowly. “But would we have not discussed the story previously?” he asked. “Do you remember it?” she asked. “No,” Data answered, with an apologetic frown. “Then we can make a new memory to share.” Data gave her an uncertain smile, but nodded. Data was slow to join in the discussion, being somewhat uncomfortable, but that uneasiness quickly vanished as things progressed. Raygan teased him about having a secret wish to be Sherlock Holmes, which Data could not deny with anything approaching convincing. He found himself smiling with her and also laughing out loud at many of the things she said or caused him to say. But when she came closer and touched his hand, Data shied away. He was not sure why, but the energy that pulsed through his body intimidated him. Raygan was so incredibly beautiful. Data found he was having a great deal of difficulty understanding why she would have chosen him as a spouse. Surely she could have had any male she wanted. Why would she want an artificial man? Raygan had noticed the change in Data's demeanor. "You look like you want to ask me something, Data," she said. Data looked surprised that Raygan seemed to be able to read him so well. "Yes, I do. I do not understand why you wanted to have a relationship with me. You are a very beautiful, intelligent, funny woman and I am an android. You could have your choice of so many men. Why would you chose an artificial life form?" he queried. "We have a lot in common, Data. You told me how you had not felt accepted until you had been assigned to the Enterprise. When I was growing up, I was a target because my peers considered me to be different. At the Academy I started to feel acceptance but when I came to the Enterprise...I felt like I had found a home, just like you. When I look at you I don't see an artificial life form. I see a man and, the more I got to know that man the more I liked him until I found myself to be head over heels in love with him - with you," Raygan smiled. "I believe I understand. May I ask you another question? Did you not date anyone else on the Enterprise? I would think there would have been a large number of males-" Data started to say. "You were the only one to ask, Data," Raygan interrupted. "If other men had shown an interest in me, I didn't notice. I only had eyes for you." Data found all of this just too much to believe. Was she hiding something? Why would she prefer him to any of the other man on the Enterprise or beyond? Data had no answer for this and did not think it wise to ask. He decided to invite her back to the lab to formally meet Lore. Raygan seemed disappointed, but agreed. It looked as though she intended to take Data's arm as they left their quarters, but she stopped herself just before she made contact. Data sighed inwardly and relaxed. Her touch still made him very nervous. Maddox was hard at work at his computer when the pair arrived. Lore was watching and making comments that the commander was doing his best to ignore. Turning to see who had entered the lab, Lore grinned brightly when he saw Data and Raygan pass through the door. This smile caused Raygan to tense. "You do know how to pick them, my brother. Your bride is very beautiful." Lore moved closer and extended his hand to Raygan. Data nodded at her, so she took Lore's hand. Lore smirked widely before bringing her hand to his lips and kissing the back of it with care. "I'm so happy to make your acquaintance, Raygan. I am Lore. Data's big brother." Lore's gaze was penetrating. "We are physically the same, Lore," Data corrected him. "Yes, that is true, my brother," Lore agreed, giving Data a nod before turning to look deeply into Raygan's eyes. “Exactly the same.” Lore’s tone made it obvious what he was referring to. Raygan took her hand back from Lore but held his gaze. "Data told me you asked to meet me. May I ask why?" Raygan asked. "My motives are pure. I only wished to meet my dear brother's new bride. After all, we are related now and I would like nothing more than to get to know you better,” he smiled innocently. “I know, why don't the three of us have dinner this evening?" "I do not think that would be a good idea, brother," Data answered. "Come now, brother. I only wish to become reacquainted with you and find out how you managed to capture the heart of this beautiful woman." "Raygan?" Data asked. "Fine. If you're there, it’s fine," Raygan answered. "Excellent. How about Data and I come by at 1900 hours?" Lore offered. "Excuse me, but we really should get back to work," Maddox interrupted. "I'll see you then," Raygan replied. She glared at Maddox as she turned to leave. Raygan set the table for three. She had no idea what type of food Lore would like, but she knew Data's tastes, or at least she hoped she did. She went to get ready, picking out a one-shoulder sheath dress. It was sexy, but not too sexy. She was just replicating the last of the food when the door opened and the brothers walked into the room. Raygan wished painfully she could race to Data and fall into his arms. She ached for him and it killed her that he seemed to fear her touch. "Hello," she greeted them with a cheerfulness she did not feel at that moment. "We must have gone to the wrong quarters, Data. This vision cannot be the woman you married. No android could be that lucky." Lore eyed Raygan, grinning at her in a way that reminded her of the way Data used to, before he had lost his memories. "Thank you, Lore," she said, trying to pull her eyes from his. Data seemed uncomfortable to be in the presence of both of them. Raygan brought dinner to the table. Data seemed uncertain as to how to react to her choices as he had no memory of what many tasted like. "What a wonderful meal you have prepared for us. You have somehow managed to chose all favorites of mine," Lore smiled. The conversation during dinner was a little forced in the beginning, however soon Lore turned on the charm. Data could not help but notice how Lore was interacting with Raygan. He was flirting shamelessly with her. Raygan was being polite to Lore, however Data could not help but wonder if his brother's behavior was beginning to have an affect on her, and on him. Raygan had noticed Data was only picking at his food and was disappointed her meal selection had not been better received. "Data, if you don't like it, I can get you something else," Raygan told him. "I tried to pick things you liked but maybe that's changed now." "Everything is delicious, Raygan. I have been distracted," he said as he looked at Lore. "Please accept my apology." "How could he not be distracted? You look beautiful, your wonderful scent is so alluring, even above that of the exquisite food you have provided," Lore said suggestively causing Raygan to blush. "Lore," Data said, in a warning tone. "I believe that is quite enough. You will stop-" "Commander Data, report to the cybernetics lab immediately." The voice of Bruce Maddox interrupted Data through his communicator. Data grimaced, but tapped the device. "I am on my way, Commander." He tapped the badge again to close the channel and gave Raygan an apologetic smile. "I regret I have been poor company this evening. There are two guards outside, call them if he gives you any trouble unless you would prefer he accompany me to the lab?" Data asked her. "He can stay, Data. Come back as soon as you can." She smiled at him, but found her gaze was drawn back to Lore. With a disconcerted nod, Data left. “Well, with a meal as fine as that one, I can’t wait to taste dessert,” Lore commented with a delicious smirk. "Have you ever had Berami?" Raygan asked. She had specifically chosen this in the hope Data would remember something about it. "No, I haven't," Lore said as he picked up a piece and took a bite. "It's delicious. Please tell me about it." "It's a Rekellian dish," Raygan replied. "Rekellian? And how do you know about Rekellian food, Raygan?" Lore asked, looking genuinely interested. "I'm half Rekellian. My mother is Rekellian and my father is human," she responded. Lore ‘accidentally’ dropped a napkin so Raygan would not see him accessing everything he could on Rekellian females. "That must make this situation with Data all the more difficult for you, having better recall and memory than Data has at the moment, that is," Lore said sounding sympathetic. "Yes it does. I remember everything so vividly..." her voice trailed off. "And looking forward to spending the next 300 years together and now you can't even look forward to tomorrow," Lore added. Raygan sighed deeply. Lore reached over and took her hand. "Let me help you, Raygan," Lore whispered. He stood up and led Raygan to the couch. "Do you think Data is making as much of an effort to come back to you as he should be? He's left you alone here. Such a beautiful woman, I would never leave you alone, Raygan. I would want to be with you every moment of every day." Tears began to roll down Raygan's cheeks as Lore continued. Lore reached over and gently wiped the tears away. "I would never make you cry. I bet you have the most beautiful smile. When was the last time you really smiled? I can give that back to you. Let me help you, Raygan." Raygan sat motionless on the couch. Lore gently ran his hand along Raygan's cheek before sweeping his fingertips slowly over her bare shoulder and down her arm. "Your skin is so soft, Raygan. When was the last time Data touched you like this?" He continued running his fingers up and down Raygan's arm. "I would never want to stop touching you. I would want to be with you forever, Raygan. I would make love to you for hour after hour, wanting only to bring you pleasure." Lore kissed Raygan's shoulder. Suddenly, he slid over to the far end of the couch as the door to the quarters opened and Data stood there. Raygan stared blankly ahead with a pained look in her eyes. "Raygan, are you okay?" Data asked. Raygan nodded her head while continuing to stare straight ahead. "Lore, I think you should leave now." Data instructed the security personnel to escort Lore to his quarters. Lore took Raygan's hand and smiled. "Dinner was wonderful. I hope we will have an opportunity to do this again soon." He again kissed Raygan's hand. "Good night, Raygan." Lore moved towards the door. "Good night, brother," he smirked as he walked past with the security personnel. Once Lore exited the room and the door had closed, Data went back to Raygan. "What happened? Did he hurt you?" Data asked, sitting next to her on the couch. "No, he didn't hurt me." She turned to face Data for the first time since he had returned. "You hurt me!" she exclaimed, angrily. Data's eyes went wide with shock. He opened his mouth to ask how, but she beat him to it. "I understand you don't remember what we had, but how can you not even try? Can't you have a little faith in what everyone has told you? When you look at the holo-pictures and recordings of us, can’t you see how happy we were? You act as though you don't believe any of it. You won’t even touch me anymore. You sent Lore away, now I'm sending you. Leave, you don't really want to be here anyway so just get out. Good night, Commander Data." She turned from him and ran to the bedroom with tears flowing down her face. Data could not believe this was happening. He had gotten married two weeks ago, remembered none of it and now it was over. She wanted him gone, out of her life. Data walked over to the gift he had supposedly given her for their wedding. He picked it up and took it with him as he left the quarters of Data and Raygan Soong. "Give her some time, Data. This has been tough on you both. I know you’re upset that you’ve lost all of this, but I think I may be able to restore small pieces of your memory. Don't give up hope." Geordi was trying desperately to cheer his friend up, but Data was not helping much since he would not tell him what had happened. He had found Data in his quarters waiting for him. Geordi had been able to see something was wrong, since all Data would do was stare at the moving holo-frame. Raygan cried in the bedroom for about an hour, periodically looking towards the door hoping Data would come in to comfort her. She forced the tears to stop before she left the bedroom. She was not surprised to find Data gone but it hurt her still that he was. She freshened up and went for a walk. She needed to get out of there to try to clear her head. She walked aimlessly through the complex before realizing where she had gone. She looked down the corridor to see two ensigns standing guard at the door to Lore's quarters. She stared at the door for what seemed like forever before she turned and walked away. She walked some more until she came to the temporary quarters of Counselor Deanna Troi. She reached out and rang the chimes. "Come in," a voice from behind the door called. After the doors slid open, Raygan walked in with a distraught look on her face. "If this is a bad time, I can come back tomorrow," Raygan said but her expression pleaded for help now. "Raygan, please sit down. Can I get you anything - tea?" Deanna asked but Raygan shook her head. Deanna sat next to her, taking her hand. "Tell me what has brought you to me," she said in a soothing voice. "Data...he's not even...I'm tired," Raygan was having problems collecting her thoughts. "He's reviewed his personal logs, talked to his friends and has felt our bond yet he doesn't believe any of it. He acts like he's afraid he's going to get some disease if he touches me. Why should I keep fighting to save my marriage if he isn't going to put in any effort?" "Did something happen tonight, Raygan?" Deanna asked. "I had dinner with Data and Lore this evening. Data was called away-" she started. "Did Lore do anything?" Deanna asked concerned. "No, Lore didn't do anything," she replied angrily. "He said some things but that was all." "What did he say, Raygan?" "The truth," Raygan snapped. "That Data doesn't want me but there are men out there who do." "Raygan, I know you’re feeling rejected by Data, but you have to remember that he not only lost his memories of you, but of wanting to install his emotion chip. This is like getting emotions for the first time for him all over again. Add to that finding out he has a wife he doesn’t remember falling in love with, and you have a virtually insurmountable task of playing catch up ahead. He’s frightened right now." "He may be frightened, but I can't even reach him. He's blocking me. He won't even let me near him. He barely spends any time alone with me. How can I to show him what we had if he won't let me?" Raygan started to cry again. Troi moved over to take her in a comforting embrace. "Raygan, I know this is painful and impossibly hard to deal with so soon after your wedding, but don't give up hope. Give Data some time. Let him work through some of this before trying to push him. Let him take it at his own pace." Raygan pulled stiffly away from the counselor and stood. "I'm not sure what I'm going to do. It may already be too late." Raygan turned from the woman and walked stubbornly from the room. She was again tempted to go see Lore, however this time, she did not resist. Raygan walked down the corridor and was stopped by the two ensigns standing guard at Lore's quarters. "Only authorized personnel from the cybernetics lab are allowed in," one of the ensigns told Raygan. "I'm Lieutenant Commander Raygan Soong. I am authorized to enter," she stated. The ensign checked his PADD and found Raygan's name listed. She rang the door chimes and entered when the door slid open. Lore looked surprised to see her. "Raygan, I didn't expect to see you again so soon," he smiled. "Please, come in and sit down." He followed Raygan to the couch and sat next to her. "Okay, Lore. What's your game?" Raygan stated. "Game? I'm not playing any games," Lore responded. "You want me to believe you would be attempting to seduce me if I wasn't Data's estranged wife?" she countered. "You think I'm trying to seduce you, Raygan?" Lore asked, trying to look innocent. Raygan stared back at Lore, not buying into it. "Raygan, you are a very beautiful woman. You deserve to be with someone who appreciates what you have to offer. Data can't do that but I can. I don't want to come between you and my brother but he has made it quite obvious where you stand in his life, hasn't he? He put his future with you second to fixing me. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy to be here however, if the positions had been reversed, I never would have risked losing you to fix him." "You didn't answer my question. Would you be saying all of these things to me if it were not for my connection to Data?" she asked again. "I would be trying to get to know you much, much better if you had no connection to Data. I am very attracted to you, Raygan. You are beautiful, intelligent, so sexy, even when you've been crying," Lore smiled and caressed her cheek. Lore leaned over, kissing Raygan gently on the lips. Raygan did not respond but she did not push him away either, so Lore kissed her again, this time longer and harder. Raygan found herself responding against her will. Lore leaned back slightly, pushing the hair from Raygan's face. She stood up quickly. "I should leave now," she said hesitatingly. Lore stood in front of her and put his arms around her, kissing her again. Raygan found herself returning his kiss as she wrapped her arms around him. Realizing what she was doing, Raygan pushed Lore away and stared at him. "I can't do this. I can't," she told him, more trying to convince herself. Just then the door to Lore's quarters slid open and Data and Maddox stood in the doorway. "Raygan, what are you doing here?" Data asked confused. "Yes, Commander, how did you get in here?" Maddox asked but for different reasons than Data. "None of your business," she said to Data, "and I’m authorized to be here, Commander, so it's none of your business either." She looked at Lore, who was smiling at her, and then walked past Data, without even a glance his way, as she left. "What was she doing here, Lore?" Data demanded, none too happy to have been spoken to by Raygan that way. Lore looked displeased and taken aback. "My brother, you clearly heard the lady say it was none of your business. If I were to tell you what happened between us... that would be unethical. I like your wife, Data. I will not betray her. Not even to you." As though nothing had been said between the brothers, Maddox spoke up. "I want you to come back to the lab now, Lore. I have further tests I want to run. This way." As though his word was law, Maddox turned, fully expecting Lore to follow. "Lore," Data said, his tone cross. "I want you to stay away from my wife," he commanded. Lore just gave Data one of his famous smirks. "These are my quarters, Data. You need to tell her to stay away from me, if you can." Lore gave Data a challenging smile and headed for the door. The security detail followed closely behind. Left alone, Data pondered what he had seen and not seen. And what he had heard. He had been able to hear Raygan saying she could not do 'this'. But Data had not been able to determine what 'this' had been. He feared his suspicions were correct, though, and that his wife was considering leaving him for Lore. Leaving Lore’s quarters, Data headed to the place he had expected Raygan to go - their quarters. But would it be ‘their’ quarters in the morning? Data thought back to the only memory he had retained of Raygan from before the accident. He had enjoyed the time he had spent with her. She was intelligent, beautiful, shared interests with him. He had enjoyed their talk about Sherlock Holmes but Data was at a loss to define how he felt about Raygan. He was still not used to feeling anything. This was just too much for him, but one thing was clear to him. He did not want her to get involved with Lore. Arriving at their quarters, Data was surprised when the door did not open for him. He pressed the identification PADD, but it still did not open. He was forced to buzz for Raygan. “Who is it?” “Raygan, it is Data. Please let me in. I wish to speak with you,” he asked, politely. “Well, I don’t wish to speak with you. I’m tired and I’m going to bed. Leave, Data.” The comm clicked off and Data somehow knew that unless he used his command authorization to get into that room, this conversation was over. Not wanting to upset her more or drive the wedge between them any further, Data walked away. Raygan stared at the door for a few minutes before turning for her bedroom. ~ Damn you Data, why won't you fight for us? ~ she thought. She lay down on the bed, crying, until she fell asleep with Spot curled up next to her. Data returned to the lab where Maddox was conducting his tests on Lore. The first thing Data did was remove Raygan's name from the list of authorized personnel allowed access to the lab and Lore's quarters. "You are back quickly, brother. Would she not talk to you?" Lore asked mockingly. "Would you like me to pass along a message to her?" "That will not be possible, Lore. Raygan's access to the lab and your quarters has been terminated. You will have no further contact with her," Data glared at Lore. "Now, why did you do that, Data?" Lore asked as he sauntered over to where Data was standing. "Are you jealous of me, my brother?" "I am merely concerned for Raygan's safety. I do not trust you," Data responded. "Let me ask you something, Data. If you had found Raygan in another man's quarters would you be reacting like this?" Lore questioned. "Or is it only because she was with me?" Lore moved next to Data and asked, "If Raygan had been alone with Ensign Sutherland, standing this close to him and you heard what you did, would you feel the same way? Or is it because it's me. Do you hate the idea of seeing Raygan with another man or just with me, Data? Do you hate me more than you care about her?" "Lore, I need you over here," Maddox called. Lore smirked at Data and turned to walk away. "Think about it, Data," Lore instructed his brother. Data did not want to think about Lore's words, but he did. Winning the attention of beautiful females was something Commander Riker was proficient at, but not Data. Lore, who was created to be more at ease with humans, also possessed more charm and grace when dealing with the fairer sex. Even with emotions, Data felt as though he was fumbling with a Chinese finger puzzle again. He had no idea what to do, or how to act with Raygan. He was feeling an attraction to her, but it terrified him. The fact this situation would not even give Lore pause, frightened and angered Data. Morning came and Raygan was not in a good mood. Data's side of the bed was still empty and he had not even left a message for her, however Lore had. "Data has removed your access to my quarters and the lab, but there are other ways. If you want to see me, and I do want to see you, come to the arboretum at lunchtime. I'll be waiting. Lore" Raygan had work to do this morning in the Stellar Sciences Directorate of Starfleet Command, but everyone had to take a lunch. Lore's guards were in the arboretum with him, but other than that, there were few others present. Lore was in the far corner, but rushed to her side when he saw her. "I'm so glad you came. I have been thinking about you. In fact, I can't think of anything but you, Raygan." Lore's eyes were full of glee as he took her shoulders in his hands. "Come, they are guarding the door to make sure I can't get out. Come back behind these trees with me and we can have some privacy." "I'm not sure about this, Lore. I wanted to see you, but I'm still not sure." Lore led her by the hand to the tree grouping he had mentioned in an attempt to convince her. He pulled her into his arms, grabbed her ass and ground his groin against her. His mouth covered hers and his tongue plunged deeply into her mouth. Raygan could not help but moan. She could feel Lore's erection grinding into her, begging for release. "Lore, please. Not here. Please," Raygan stammered. Lore backed away from Raygan taking her hand. "Come, let's walk," he smiled. "Will you see me later, Raygan?" "How can I? You said my access was removed," she answered confused. "I can get you access to my quarters, if you want me to, that is." Raygan opened her mouth but nothing came out. She nodded her head yes as Lore kissed her. "Come to my quarters in a hour and wait for me," he whispered and kissed Raygan again. Raygan watched as he walked away with the guards. She stayed in the arboretum thinking, remembering, until a voice broke her thoughts. She looked up to see the smiling face of Deanna Troi. "You look like you’re feeling much better today. Have you and Data spoken?" she asked. "No. I'm feeling better because I've decided to move on with my life," she told Deanna before getting up. "I have to leave. I have an appointment I don't want to be late for." Raygan left the arboretum and headed for Lore's quarters. Even with no guards outside his door, Raygan moved forward, unsure, until she stood in front of the door. When it slid open, she stood there momentarily before entering and sitting on the couch to wait. She had only waited for a few minutes when she heard voices outside. She stood up as Lore entered. After the doors had closed, Lore spoke. "I'm so glad you came, Raygan," he smiled. He walked over to her and took her in his arms, kissing her passionately. Raygan returned his kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him tightly against her. Lore broke their kiss and slowly undid the jacket of Raygan's uniform. He ran his hand sensuously over Raygan's shoulders to push the jacket off. He threw it on to the couch before taking Raygan back into his arms. As they kissed, he gently swept her up in his arms and carried her to the bed. He lay her on the bed before lowering himself on her. He reclaimed her mouth as his hands roamed her body. Raygan moaned softly at his touch. Suddenly her eyes went wide from a realization she had just made. ~ I was about to call out Data's name - not Lore’s ~ She pushed Lore away and jumped from the bed. "I'm sorry. I can't. I have to go," she said as she rushed from the bedroom. Raygan ran past the surprised guards outside of Lore's quarters to the turbolift. "Ensign Sutherland to Commander Data. Please report to Lore's quarters immediately. We've had a security breach." "I am on my way," Data responded. He arrived quickly to Lore's quarters. "What has happened, Ensign? Is Lore still inside?" he asked. "Yes, sir. Lore did not try to escape. There was an unauthorized woman in his quarters. She ran past us but I believe it was Commander Soong." Data stood there dumbstruck from the shock of Ensign Sutherland's words. He entered Lore's quarters to find his brother sitting on the couch. "Hello, brother. What can I do for you? Wait, before you answer, can you do something for me? Those guards won't let me leave so can you return Raygan's jacket to her for me? She forgot to take it with her when she left." Lore smirked as he held out the uniform jacket. "I told you to stay away from her, Lore." Data sounded angrier than Lore thought possible. "Once again, dear brother, these are my quarters. Perhaps you should instruct her to stay away from me," he smiled. Data grabbed the jacket from Lore and stormed from the room. "If you see Commander Soong within ten meters of him, I want to be informed at once. I want his quarters searched before he enters to ensure there are no further security breaches," Data ordered the guards as he exited Lore's quarters. Next, he contacted Maddox, telling him he would be out of contact and not to disturb him, no matter what. Data was so angry when he arrived at their quarters, he did not even notice the door again responded to his presence. Raygan was in the bathroom, washing her face and grumbling to herself. "Raygan, I insist we speak – now," Data told her, as he entered the bathroom behind her. She was startled by his sudden appearance, however the tone of his voice and the furious expression on his face was worse. "I agree." Raygan, seeing her jacket in his hand, grabbed it from him. "I think we need to have this out. If you want me to request a transfer, I-“ "I do not wish you to go anywhere. However, I do not want you meeting up with my brother again. How far did it go? Are you in love with him?" he asked as they walked out of the bathroom. "No, I'm not in love with him." Raygan threw her jacket on the bed as she moved to the living room. “Why does that matter to you, Data?” she asked sarcastically. Still angry, Data responded, "You are my wife, not his." "Then perhaps you should start treating me as your wife,” Raygan retorted. Raygan watched as Data’s expression changed dramatically. “I do not know how.” Data spoke so softly, so sadly that Raygan was not sure how to respond at first. Her own expression softened considerably. "I would suggest the first thing you do is this," she whispered as she moved towards him. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him in to a desperate kiss. He resisted at first, but all the insecurities he had been suffering from were eliminated here in her arms. He pulled her slowly closer until fear and uncertainties rose up again, causing Data to pull away. She grabbed his face and pulled him back into another very passionate kiss. The touch of her fingers on his face electrified him. His mind may not remember being with her, but it seemed as though his body did. His hands moved to slip under her shirt. When he found skin, the energy between them increased again. Raygan slid her hands under his shirt, running her hands over his chest. Data could feel moisture on his face. He pulled back to see Raygan was crying. “Why?” he asked, brushed the tears away. “Because I let this go on too long. I almost let both of us throw this away by letting Lore come between us. I’m sorry. I was so confused. You wouldn’t fight for us, you kept leaving and I needed you so badly.” She pulled him back, kissing him with surprising strength. “I need you so much.” "Raygan, I came here to talk," Data stammered as he again pulled back from her. He walked to the couch and sat. "Data, it’s time to stop talking and analyzing things and time to start feeling." Raygan moved to the couch sitting next to Data. "I love you. I want you. I need you. But every time I touch you, you pull away from me." She spoke with desperation in her voice. "Every time I need you, you leave. You are the one with the decisions to make, Data. Do you want me? Do you need me? Do you love me?" Raygan stroked his cheek softly before leaning over and kissing him gently. She turned towards him sitting on her legs, taking his face in her hands as she kissed him again a little harder this time. "Don't pull away from me, Data," she whispered. She maneuvered herself so she now straddled Data's lap and wrapped her arms around his neck. She kissed him hard and long. "Let go of your doubts, Data, please," she said before reclaiming his mouth. Data pulled back and looked into her green eyes. He thought about the things Lore had said, what Raygan had said, and Geordi. Even Commander Riker had come in this morning to talk to Data. Troi had talked to him yesterday. They had all pushed at Data to deal with his feelings for Raygan, but he was so confused. He wanted her to be his, but he had no idea how to do this. "I do doubt. I do not know how to do this. I doubt my ability to recreate what we had." He sounded so lost. "Do you want it to end?" she asked, gently. "No," he told her, sadly. "What do you want?" she asked him. Data met her eyes, but still could not find the words. Raygan tilted her head to the side, studying him, as a smile slowly curved her lips. She got out of his lap and with a bent finger, beckoned him into their bedroom. "Take off all your clothes," she told him, calmly as they stood next to the bed. "What?" he asked, stunned. "I've seen you naked before, Data. I'm your wife. Now, take off your clothes and sit on the bed with your legs folded and your hands in front of you." Raygan began removing her clothes as she told him what to do. Data’s eyes were riveted to every new inch of her body she revealed. He nervously complied with her request, noticing no resistance from his modesty sub-routine, and sat on the bed. Naked, Raygan sat just in front of him on the bed. She smiled encouragingly at him, but did not touch him. "We are going to play a game. The rules are simple. We take turns touching each other in one place for no more than ten seconds. You go first." She told him with a wide grin. Data looked uncertain again but, after a deep breath, he reached over and touched her knee, as it was closest. The special energy ran from his hand into her knee and back again, causing both of them to sigh gently. He pulled his hand back and waited for her to move. She opened her eyes, smiled and reached for his knee, but instead of simply touching him, she caressed his knee with tenderness. Again, they both sighed as the effect of their bond ran through their points of contact. “Do we have to touch a different area each time?” he asked. “Yes,” she told him with a sly smile. Data took a deep breath and reached for her shoulder. This time, his touch was a tentative caress. Exactly ten seconds later, he removed his hand from her shoulder. Raygan reached over softly running her fingertips over his shoulder causing Data to gasp at the sensation. When it was Data's turn, he gently caressed Raygan's arm inducing her to let out an audible sigh. Data expected Raygan to reach for his arm so when she ran her hand over his chest, he felt the energy surge within him and moaned. Raygan smiled as she removed her hand. Data reached across and hesitated before touching the top of her breasts. He nervously swept his hand across her cleavage as the energy ran through his body. He felt a stirring between his legs. He was not sure how much longer he could play this game. Raygan reached over gently caressing his cheek as Data closed his eyes. As Raygan's hand moved away, he tried moving his face with her hand, desperately not wanting to lose the softness of her touch. Data opened his eyes and smiled at Raygan before gently stroking her face with his hand. The ten seconds elapsed but Data did not move his hand. Instead he cupped Raygan's face with both hands, pulling her towards him so he could kiss her. He let go of Raygan's face without breaking their kiss and eased her back on the bed, positioning himself on top of her. "I believe I now know the answer to your last question," Data whispered as Raygan pulled him in for a passionate kiss. “I want you.” So much of his body was now in contact with hers that the sensations were almost too much for Data to process. He was fully erect and desperate to do something about that fact. Raygan's hands moved over his back, bringing her electric touch with her. His tongue touched hers, sending a bolt straight to his brain. Data was sure he would shut down as Raygan moved her hands to his chest and pushed him over to his back, quickly moving to straddle him. She traced circles around his nipples with first her fingers and then her tongue as Data moaned. When she lifted herself up, Data was about to protest her leaving him, until she lowered herself down on his rock hard erection. His words of objection became a garbled groan as an intense shiver ran through his body. As Raygan began to move, Data found his hands moving to grip her sensuous ass. She moved slowly. He tried to increase her speed, but she staunchly refused, but without a word. After a time Data could not measure as he had lost that ability, she leaned down to kiss him tenderly. He grabbed her face, trying to kiss her harder, but again, she pulled away. "You want me to take you higher, Data?" she asked in a sultry voice. "Yes," Data begged, breathlessly. Her pace quickened and Data became sure he would lose all of his cognitive functions as this was too much to process. "Too fast?" she asked. "No," he said in a ragged voice. Data moaned with pleasure as Raygan quickened her motions. Data moved his hands from her bottom, over her stomach and cupped her breasts. He kneaded them gently before leaning forward and taking one in his mouth. He ran his tongue around her nipple, sucking and nipping at it as Raygan moaned. He soon moved his mouth to her other breast as Raygan's moans increased. He ran his hands up to her face and pulled her down to kiss her, hard. He wrapped his arms around her, picking her up and moving her to her back without breaking their rhythm. Data was kissing Raygan ferociously as he thrust deeper and harder into her. She wrapped her legs around Data's butt forcing him even deeper inside her. They both moaned loudly as the voltage of their bond increased the closer they both came to orgasm. Raygan felt a shiver rush through her body as she arched her back, calling out Data's name as she experienced the rush of her orgasm. Data continued his thrusts until he too felt an incredible surge rush through his body as he exploded inside Raygan. Raygan took Data's face back to kiss him savagely. “God, I’ve missed you.” She told him as she forced him to roll once again until he was again on his back. Raygan had not released him from her body and it looked like she did not intend to. She started to move with him again, kissing his face, his neck, and his chest. Data could not believe this wonderful pressure was building within him again. He ran his hand over her back and pulled her mouth back to his. His own aggressiveness shocked him. He thought this session with her looked more like a wrestling match than an intimate encounter. Data rolled her on her back again and pulled her arms above her head, pinning them there. He kissed her tenderly, but soon, he was kissing her harder and she only seemed to be urging him on. He continued to thrust into her, but here too, she used her legs to pull him in tighter and faster. “Oh Data, More. Harder.” “I will injure you,” he warned. “No, my love. You did not access all you know about Rekellian women or you lost some, I can take it. Please, harder,” she begged him. Data thrust harder and deeper into Raygan and was pleased she again moaned with pleasure and not pain but he was also surprised by what she was moaning. "More, Data, harder," she gasped. Data once again thrust harder into Raygan causing her moaning to grow louder. "Yes, Data, yes," she moaned over and over. Data found himself more and more affected by her moans. Each gasp, each moan pushed him closer and closer to the edge. Raygan dug her nails into Data's back as she arched her back, calling out his name while in the throws of climax. This drove Data on more and more until Raygan called out again. She grabbed Data's face kissing him hard until Data broke the kiss to call out her name as his volcano erupted. Raygan lay panting from exhaustion beside Data. They had been in bed for hours, involved in a wild sexual frenzy. She had pushed him harder each time and he had complied, shocked she could take this much. He pushed a lock of hair from her face and kissed her temple. “I think you should rest, my wife,” he told her. “Only if you stay with me. Please, Data, I don’t want to sleep without you again.” Data found himself smiling down at her. He caressed her satiny soft cheek. “I do not wish to leave you. Will I disturb your sleep?” “Only if you leave.” She pushed him back down and rested her head on his chest, running her fingers over him. Data smiled and rubbed her back, tenderly. “Data, I love you,” she told him, cautiously. When he did not respond, she lifted her head to look at him. He had a contemplative expression on his face. “I do not know if I love you, Raygan. You excite me. I am highly attracted to you. I enjoy talking with you, but you also make me very nervous,” he admitted. “What about me makes you nervous?” she asked, stunned he would say that. “I am not charming like my brother or Commander Riker, I-“ “Stop there. No, you are charming like you,” she reflected. “You are sweet and honest and gentle and I have never met a man I have respected more.” Data caressed Raygan's cheek before kissing her tenderly. "You need to sleep, Raygan." Raygan smiled. She knew Data needed to process all the sensations he had experienced with her. She rested her head on Data's chest again, holding him tightly to make sure he could not slip away from her while she slept. Data watched Raygan drift into sleep. He watched her sleep for twenty-three minutes before he began to think about the events of the evening. He thought of everything his friends had been saying to him about Raygan and their relationship. He wondered why he was having such a difficult time believing he was worth loving. He kissed Raygan's forehead gently before activating his dream program. Data was Sherlock Holmes. He was entering the sitting room at 221B Baker Street. Raygan, dressed in period clothing, stood in front of his window looking ravishing. Her dress hugged the curves of her body, causing Holmes to feel very unHolmes-like feelings. Holmes took a cleansing breath to center himself as he moved to his chair. “Mrs. Soong,” he greeted her. She turned to face him with a far away expression. “How are you this fine day, my good sir?” she asked. “I am well, but I am afraid I have not the time to waste on pleasantries. Your husband sent you to me so I could determine if you have been truthful with him. Please have a seat.” Holmes watched as she moved with exquisite grace to the high backed chair facing the one he had selected. “Now, tell me how you can prove your claim that you love your husband? He is a most difficult man to love, is he not?” he asked. Raygan looked at him, insulted. “How dare you, Mr. Holmes. My husband is a gentleman of high moral standing. His character is unimpeachable, he is a noble creature among barely civilized men. I dare say he could match wits with you, my good sir, and come out victorious. If my good husband has doubts about my love, I would hope he would come to me with his concerns and speak his heart.” “I am sure he will. For now, tell me what it was that first caused you to take notice of him?” “His charming manner.” Holmes looked doubtfully at her. “How can a being without emotions be charming?” “My husband is very charming by way of his honesty, his gentle nature...” she again took on the far away look. “You find these qualities attractive?” he asked. “Eminently so. I also find him to be-“ Data woke as Spot jumped on his chest and curled up against Raygan, just under her chin. Data sighed. His dream had left him with one certainty. He needed to talk more with his wife and to speak his heart to her. Data lay next to Raygan until she awoke in the morning. "Good morning," Data whispered as her eyes slowly opened. Raygan looked up at Data with a beautiful smile on her face. "Good morning, Data." She moved closer and kissed him tenderly. "I was afraid you weren't going to be here when I woke up." "I am here, Raygan," he smiled. "But for how long?" she asked. "I must be at the cybernetics lab at 0900 hours," he responded. "That's not what I meant, Data. These quarters are so empty without you. Are you going to stay here, Data, in our quarters?" she asked. "I will stay, Raygan. However, I still believe you and I have much to discuss," he told her. "We can talk about anything you wish. What's on your mind?" she asked. "I wish to know why you would choose to love me in favor of an organic mate?" Raygan wrinkled her nose at the thought. "Well, most are too fragile. I had never found a man I had much in common with, or who intrigued me as much as you do. You have a certain mystery about you and I have enjoyed learning about who you are. I've also never met a man I have greater respect for...well, maybe my father. He has been able to keep up with my mother and that's a feat. But, you - everyone respects you, likes you. There are quite a few people on the Enterprise who love you. I was impressed by you from the moment we met and really shocked you weren't already taken. I took care of that as soon as I was sure where this was going and that you wanted to go there with me." She blushed slightly as she said this. "I have a question for you now, Data. You seem to think you are not worthy of being loved. I don't understand why you feel that way?" she asked. Data could tell from her expression Raygan was genuinely puzzled. "I am an android-," he started to say but Raygan interrupted him. "No! No! No! I won't accept that as a justification for you not being worthy of love," she told him. "Data, you have told me that you think of some of your crewmates as being your family, correct?" Data nodded his head in agreement. "And they feel the same way about you?" Data nodded his head again. "Would it be an accurate description to say that you are a family of friends who love and respect each other?" "I believe that would be an accurate description, yes," Data agreed. "Now, Data, if you can accept that your friends love you, then why can't you accept that I am in love with you?" Data opened his mouth to respond, but realized what he had been about to say was not a good answer. Slowly, Data just smiled. "Got you, didn't I?" she asked with a grin. "I am a machine. A chip allows me to experience emotion. None of that troubles you?" he asked, still unsure. "Should it?” she asked. “We are all machines of one type or another. I think you are going to have to face it. I love you. It’s not a joke, a lie or an exaggeration." She slipped her arms around his neck and kissed him. Pulling back, she repeated, "I love you. Will you accept that, please?" Data sighed. "I will try. I still do not understand you," he admitted. "Sweetie, I'm a woman and you're a man. You're not supposed to." At 0850 hours, Geordi La Forge was just about to leave for the cybernetics lab when Commander Maddox arrived at the door to his quarters. "Where is Commander Data?" Maddox demanded. "Commander, what's the problem? He isn't due at the lab until 0900 hours," Geordi responded. "I left a message here last night with instructions to report at 0830 - that's what the problem is." Geordi looked around and saw no sign that Data had been there recently. "Computer, locate Lieutenant Commander Data." The computer voice responded, "Lieutenant Commander Data is in his quarters." Geordi smiled as he knew that meant Data was with Raygan. Maddox glared at Geordi and stalked off towards Data's quarters without even a word of thanks. Arriving at Data and Raygan's door, he stabbed at the chime signal. "Enter," came the sound of Data's calm voice. When the door opened, Maddox found the couple sitting at their table enjoying a nice breakfast. "Commander Maddox, would you like to join us for breakfast?" Data asked, politely. "I'd like it if I knew where to send your messages. I wanted you to meet me in the lab at 0830 hours, but you did not go where you said you were going." Data and Raygan exchanged a look that was meaningless to Maddox. "It would appear I am tardy." Data pushed out his chair, got to his feet and leaned over to kiss Raygan goodbye. "I will see you this evening." "You bet you will," she told him and pulled him back for a second kiss. Maddox sighed with impatience, but Raygan could not have cared less. After Data and Maddox had left, Raygan sat down to finish her breakfast. The door chime rang again. "Come in," Raygan called out. "Geordi, what a pleasant surprise. Would you like some breakfast?" she offered when the doors parted to reveal the engineer. "No, thanks. I have to get to the lab." "You just missed Data. He and Commander Maddox left less than a minute ago." "I just stopped by to bring Data's things. Actually, he only brought this with him to my quarters." Geordi smiled as he handed the holo-frame to Raygan. "I have to go now." Geordi started out the door before turning to look at Raygan. "I'm really glad you two are back on track." "Bye, Geordi. And thank you for everything," Raygan smiled. Raygan cleared off the table before making her way to the Stellar Sciences section. Raygan was actually a little excited about her workday. Although the Enterprise-E was still a week away from being ready, her department was going to be given a tour of the Stellar Sciences area. It would be her first look at her future home. Raygan met Matt just down the corridor from where they were to meet their group. He was the only person from her section with whom she had shared the goings on of her home situation. Before they joined the others, she filled Matt in on how Data had come home last night and stayed there. Matt gave her an excited hug and told her how happy he was for her. Together, they joined their group to start the tour. Before the day ended, Data contacted Raygan asking her if she would care to join him for a dinner Commander Riker was hosting in his quarters that evening. "Is Will expecting me to attend?" Raygan asked Data, confused as to why Will had not called to invite her himself. "I believe he wished to ensure we attended together. He instructed me to invite you, rather firmly, I might add." Raygan laughed. "I think everyone wants to see us back together." "I agree." Raygan could hear Data sigh happily. "Will you join me, my wife?" he asked. "Yes. I love you, Data. Should I meet you there?" "No, please meet me in our quarters at 1730 hours." "I'll be there," she promised and signed off. Raygan arrived a little early and changed out of her uniform into a form fitting sleeveless yellow dress that was a little low cut in the front but not too low cut. When she heard the door open, Raygan came out of the bedroom. She smiled at Data as he stared at her. "How do I look? Do you think this is okay to wear to dinner?" she asked. "You look stunning," he finally managed to stay. Data walked over to Raygan and kissed her. He had to kiss her and could not find an explanation for why other than an overwhelming need. Raygan responded to him at once. She wrapped her arms tightly around his waist and lowered her hands down his body until she came to his butt. She put one hand over each of his cheeks and gave them a squeeze. Pulling away for a moment, she grinned mischievously at him. "You have the sexiest ass I’ve ever seen. Perfectly shaped and oh so pinchable." She pinched him to prove her point, leaving Data gasping in shock. He gave her a disapproving look for only a second before using a hand placed at the back of her head to guide her lips back to his. Enjoying the feel of their marriage bond tingling through him everywhere her skin touched his, Data moved his hands down past her waist to give her the same attention she had given him. He gave her bottom a playful squeeze before running his hands over the delightful curves she had here. "You don't seem terribly interested in the dinner, my love." Data realized his kisses had moved from her mouth, down her neck and along the line of her dress towards her abundant cleavage. With an abortive sigh, Data straightened his stance and looked his wife in the eyes. "We must go, Raygan. We are expected, but perhaps we can leave early. Would you object to that?" he asked. "Not one damn bit. Well, the sooner we leave, the sooner we can come back.” Data and Raygan were almost to Will's quarters when they met up with Captain Picard. "It is wonderful to see the two of you together and smiling," he told them. "Thank you, Captain. It feels wonderful," Raygan smiled. When they entered Will's quarters, Deanna, Geordi and Beverly had already arrived. After the exchanging of pleasantries, the group stood and chatted while Will finished preparing the dinner. Deanna took Raygan off to the side for a private chat. "Deanna, I need to apologize to you. I was very rude to you the other day in the arboretum. I am so sorry," Raygan apologized. "I understand perfectly, Raygan. You are a very strong individual. I don't know of many people who could have handled this situation as well as you did," Deanna told. "As well? I was an absolute wreck." “Maybe, but it looks like things are working out now,” Deanna observed. Raygan looked Data’s way and caught him looking at her. “Yes. He’s still a bit unsettled that he has a wife he can’t remember asking to marry or even dating, but he’s coming around. “I know Lore was doing his best to confuse you, from what Geordi told me. Just remember, Lore and Data may look alike, but where in counts, they are nothing alike.” Raygan smiled with guilty eyes. “I’ve learned that, Deanna. And that is a lesson I don’t intend to ever forget.” “I was very glad to see your lovely bride on your arm again, Data. I was afraid I was gonna have to marry her myself if you two broke up. And from what I heard at my house, I think you’d be a hard act to follow.” Will smirked at Data, thus giving the android a clear message as to what the commander had overheard. “You would marry Raygan, Commander?” Data questioned. “Well, truthfully, Data, I noticed her when she first came aboard – who wouldn’t. However, it was obvious very quickly that she only had eyes for you. And you, my friend, even before the chip, had it bad. And since you have been stealing glances at her the entire time I’ve been speaking, I’d say you’re got it bad all over again.” Data continued to look at Raygan while contemplating Commander Riker's words. Captain Picard had now joined Raygan and Deanna in conversation. "Commander, when Raygan and I stayed with you in Alaska, was our behavior appropriate?" Data asked. "Yes, Data, it was very appropriate for two people very much in love," Will smiled. "To be honest, I envy you. I have never met two people who belong together more than you and Raygan. You are a very lucky man." With Beverly and Geordi joining Data and Will, the conversation soon turned to other topics but everyone noticed Data's frequent glances at Raygan. Soon it was time to sit down for dinner. Raygan approached her husband and smiled with appreciation as he pulled out her chair to seat her. He took the chair next to her as she reached over for his hand, beaming bright affection at him. “Friends,” Will said, standing at the head of the table and holding up a wine glass filled with a donation from Captain Picard’s family label. “I want to thank you all for joining me this evening. Despite Deanna’s bumpy landing of a ship that was never meant to land,” he paused here to grin at Deanna and allow everyone time to chuckle. “I'm glad we’re all here to celebrate together. To our new ship, her captain and her crew, may they have many safe years together. To new beginnings!” Will lifted his glass high and the table joined his salute by shouting “Here, here!” Before drinking from his glass, Will raised his glass again at Data and Raygan, giving them both a meaningful smile. The couple clinked their glasses together and with happy smiles, drank to that toast. It was late when Data and Raygan made their way back to their quarters. Spot gave them a sound scolding for leaving her alone so long and then promptly headed for the couch and went to sleep. Raygan headed for the bedroom, but Data gently pulled her back and into his arms. “Computer, play instrumental version of ‘Isn’t It Romantic’, moderate volume,” Data ordered as he guided her into the proper hold for dancing. “I found it very difficult to focus on anything other than you this evening, Raygan,” Data admitted as he swayed with her across the floor. “I know just what you mean. I had the same lack of focus. Thankfully, no one seemed to mind.” She leaned in and brushed her lips against his cheek. “I did find it intriguing that when my attention wandered, whoever was speaking to me simply turned their attention to someone else, without calling me out.” “I think they all understood we are a little preoccupied with something else.” She moved in close to his ear and just grazed the lobe with her tongue. Data could not help but gasp at this sensual touch. "Commander Riker said something to me this evening that I found to be most enlightening," Data told her. "What did he say?" Raygan whispered into Data's ear as she gently brushed it with her lips. "He told me he envies me and that he has never met two people who belong together more than you and I," Data told her between deep breaths. "And what do you think, Data?" Raygan asked before she started to run her tongue along Data's earlobe. Data stopped dancing and took Raygan's face in his hands, kissing her passionately. Pulling back momentarily, Data said, “I think he is my superior officer and he did not attain that position by being foolish.” Data lifted his wife into his arms and swiftly carried her to their bedroom. “I also believe you are severely overdressed for what I have planned.” Raygan beamed up at him from the bed. “And what would that be?” she asked coyly. “I intend to allow your less than subtle attempts at seduction to succeed,” he told her as he helped her off with her sexy dress. Raygan began to slip her hands under his shirt as soon as her dress was gone. Seeing this look in Data’s beautiful amber eyes was burning her up from the inside out. His fingers moving over her bare flesh was burning her from the outside in. It seemed to take an impossibly long time to get Data’s clothes off of him. Their hands, legs and arms just seemed to be going in the wrong place at the wrong time. Finally, he ripped his own shirt off and kicked off his pants. He was within her the very next moment and Raygan was crying out in ecstasy. Data was still a little intimidated by the electricity generated between Raygan and himself but the pleasure he took from it was growing and growing with each touch. All of his senses were overcome with incredible sensations that felt wonderfully new and yet seemed familiar as if he had experienced them many times before with her. Raygan's moans increased in intensity the harder and deeper Data thrust. He found himself continuing to be amazed by his wife. He took such pleasure watching her reactions to him that he soon found himself to be totally immersed in making love to his wife. He could think of nothing else but Raygan. Everything about her was so enthralling to Data. Her scent, the sound of her voice, her sexy curves, the taste of her mouth, skin and the sweet nectar he found when he brought his tongue to her vagina. The feel of her satiny soft skin was so exhilarating by itself, but when the magic of their bond was added, it was more compelling than anything Data had ever known. Making love to her involved all of this and added together, it was enough to completely inundate all of Data’s systems with overwhelming sensory input. It was as though he was drowning in pleasure and she was the cause of it all. Data realized Raygan was calling out his name between pants for breath as she convulsed with a powerful orgasm. He knew this had not been her first climax and was determined it would not be her last this night. His mouth found hers just as everything went over the edge for Data and he exploded within her. Data reluctantly gave up Raygan's wonderful mouth and began to move down her body with his kisses and touch. He took one breast into his mouth while his hand explored the other. Raygan's moans continued to exhilarate Data. By the time he moved further down Raygan's body, he was hard again. He positioned himself between her luscious thighs, separated her labia with his fingers and took her clit in his mouth causing Raygan to gasp loudly. His fingers manipulated Raygan's vagina, bringing her even greater pleasure. He withdrew his fingers, replacing them with his tongue, which darted in and out of Raygan as he fingered her hard clit. It did not take long for Raygan to be in the throws of yet another orgasm. Before Raygan's body had recovered from the incredible climax, Data penetrated her with his erection and began to thrust deeply in her. She pulled his face to her, kissing him fiercely. “You are the most incredible lover, Data,” Raygan sighed into his ear. Data decided he liked hearing the sound of her saying that. “Making love with you is beyond anything I have ever experienced in my existence,” Data told her. She grinned and, without breaking their rhythm, lifted her head to kiss his neck and down his chest. She reached one of his nipples, a part of his body Data had always believed to be useless, and suddenly this was the site of wonderful sensations. She moved to his other nipple and Data let out a deep moan as she took it between her teeth, nipping at it while caressing it with the tip of her tongue. Raygan was doing the oddest thing - she was pushing him off of her. He had not brought her to orgasm in several minutes and he had not cum either. He did not understand why she was pulling him down on their bed. She kissed him, but he was still confused until she reached down his body. Her mouth kissed a trail lower, following the caresses of her hands. Data sighed as she neared his throbbing erection but she did not touch him there. Rather, she kept kissing and touching past his groin and down his inner and outer thighs. When she reached his toes, she took his left big toe and brought it to her mouth as he watched. She sucked on it, swirling her tongue around it. “Is there another part of your body you would like me to do this to, Data?” she asked, seductively. Data’s voice caught in his throat and all he could manage was a low groan of desperation. “Maybe higher?” she moved to his knees, sticking out her tongue and running it over the flesh here. Finally, Data managed to mouth one barely audible word. “Higher.” With a delightfully evil grin, Raygan moved over him like a panther stalking her prey until she was positioned over his pulsating rod. She looked him in the eyes as she lowered her mouth to just above him and exhaled her hot breath over his quivering penis. Raygan gripped her mouth firmly on the shaft of Data's penis and began to raise and lower her head. She brought her mouth up to the head of Data's penis and slowly ran her tongue along the underside of it causing Data to moan loudly. She pumped his shaft with one hand while fondling his balls with her other as she continued to tongue, kiss and suck on the head of his penis. Raygan moved her head down to take one of Data's balls in her mouth while she continued to pump his shaft with her hand. Data could feel the pressure in him building. As Raygan was moving her mouth back to Data's penis, he exploded with an incredible orgasm. He sprayed Raygan's face and chest before she was able to return her mouth to collect his cum. She swallowed every delicious drop before raising her head, licking her lips suggestively. Data did not allow himself time to lose his erection before plunging into Raygan again. The feel of her mouth and tongue on him had been unbelievable, but her body was the perfect sheath for his length. He slipped his arms under her and held her tightly as he kissed her with quickly growing need. “I love you, Raygan,” he told her. Her breath caught for a moment before she was able to reply. “I love you too, Data.” “Will you marry me?” he asked her. “Data, we are married,” she reminded him with a bright smile. “Yes, but I do not remember it. I wish to. Will you marry me again?” he asked. To his shock, Raygan started to laugh. He gave her a very confused look until she caught her breath and stopped laughing. “Oh, Data, I love you so much, but I can’t believe you did it again. That’s the second time you’ve proposed to me in bed,” she exclaimed with a giggle. "Do you wish me to propose again under different circumstances?" he asked. "No, I don't. You proposed beautifully," she smiled. "Yes, Data, I will marry you again." She kissed him softly on the lips. "I would like to meet your parents again, Raygan. Would they be able to come to San Francisco this week?" "I'm sure they can," Raygan responded. "Do you think they will like me?" Data asked nervously. "They love you, Data. Don't be nervous," she reassured him. "I'm so looking forward to starting our lives on the Enterprise-E and getting as much distance between Maddox and us as possible," Raygan said softly. "I believe Geordi has almost completed his final restorations on the data left on my damaged memory engrams. I will be completing my work with Commander Maddox in the next few days. It will be up to Lore as to whether he continues to work with the commander to further identify any malfunctions or goes his own way. I have been surprised how much his behaviour has changed since we first re-activated him. He has even expressed to me remorse over his actions involving you." "I'm happy to hear that but I still want to put some distance between both of them and us. I was able to get you back and I'm not going to let anything or anyone take you away from me again." Data grinned. "I will do my best to not lose any more memory engrams," he promised her with a tender caress of her cheek. "Is there any way you can copy some of those and keep them safe somewhere?" she joked. Data gave her a thoughtful look as his eyes moved, showing he was thinking about this. Raygan laughed. It was so good to have him back. The next day when Data arrived at the lab, he was surprised to see a woman standing next to Commander Maddox. They were going over some test results when Data approached them. Maddox looked up briefly at Data before going back to the results. "Lieutenant Commander Data, this is Lieutenant Collins. She will be assisting me with Lore after you leave," he said as an afterthought. Lieutenant Collins approached Data, extending her hand. "I'm very pleased to meet you, sir," she smiled. Data shook her hand. "I am pleased to meet you, too, although I am a little surprised by your presence. Commander Maddox had not mentioned he was bringing anyone in to assist him," Data responded. "Lieutenant Collins, we aren't finished here yet," Maddox said without looking up. Lieutenant Collins quietly sighed and quickly returned to continue going over the test results. Data offered to help brief the newest team member however Maddox curtly told him that would not be necessary. "Commander, I was not aware Lore had agreed to stay for further testing after I leave," Data commented. "He hasn't yet but he will," Maddox answered. "He has no place else to go now, does he. If you will excuse me, I am going to have Lore brought to the lab now." After he had left, Data turned to Lieutenant Collins. "Have you met my brother yet?" he asked. "No, I haven't. I have seen all of the reports on the work you and Commander Maddox have done and I think I’m prepared for anything," she smiled. Data opened his mouth to comment, but thought better of it. Lore would be here in a few minutes and it would take Data longer than that to explain his brother to this woman. The reality of what she was signing up for would hit her soon enough. As Lore strode confidently into the room, all eyes turned to him. Lore glared at Maddox, but eyed the woman with curiosity. “What is this all this about, Maddox. I thought we were done here and I was going to be released?” Lore did not make any effort to hide his disdain. “I want you to consider continuing with me after Data leaves. I still think the fluctuation that was recorded in your occipital lobe can be traced to a power surge in the secondary transfer buffer. I want to correct that along with the other abnormalities we discussed.” “Who is she?” Lore asked, looking at Collins, then Maddox and then back to the woman. Maddox looked over at Collins as though he had forgotten she was still here. “She’ll be assisting me once Data has gone. I brought her here now so she’ll be ready.” “I believe an introduction is required, don’t you?” Lore asked as he slowly came across the room towards her. His body language and facial expressions had completely changed. This woman was in for more trouble than she could possibly imagine, Data thought to himself as Lore reached for her hand and kissed the back. "I’m Lieutenant Sasha Collins," she informed Lore. "A beautiful name for a beautiful woman," Lore smiled. Data was impressed that Lieutenant Collins did not appear to be affected by Lore's charm. "Lieutenant Collins, back to work," Maddox ordered. Lore walked over to Data. "So how are you today, my brother?" "I am fine, Lore," Data replied. "And your lovely wife, how is she?" "Raygan is doing well. We have decided to re-marry once we are on the Enterprise," Data told Lore, wanting to see how his brother would react. Lore had been looking over at Lieutenant Collins as Data spoke. "I am happy for you both, Data. I know you don't believe that but it is the truth," Lore said, turning to his brother. "I really do wish you the best." Lore turned and headed to where Maddox and Collins were working and stood next to the Lieutenant. Data was not convinced Lore truly wished he and Raygan well, but he could see his brother was very distracted. Lore continued to follow closely behind the young woman as she worked, asking personal and professional questions as they went. With every answer Lore received, it was as though what she had told him was the most interesting thing he had ever heard in his life. Whenever Maddox had something to say to the woman, he found he had to call her name several times to get her attention away from Lore. “Lieutenant, I demand you respond to me the first time I speak to you or I will dismiss you from this project,” Maddox exploded. He was shocked to find Lore in his face a second later. “I’m not going to tolerate you speaking to Lieutenant Collins in that manner again.” Lore spoke calmly and quietly to Maddox. “I want to make one thing clear, Brucie. I don’t like you. I think you are a sniveling, little weasel who’s not good enough to lick Data’s boots. My new ethical program must be working as I haven’t ripped you apart. Don’t relax yet though as I may soon discover what is ethical punishment for an uppity, ego-inflated narcissist like you. Now if you want this project to continue, you won’t insult or threaten the lovely lady, who seems to be impressively versed in cybernetics, in my opinion.” Maddox paled, nodded and proceeded to meekly apologize to Lieutenant Collins. Data was almost as surprised as Maddox had been with Lore's dressing down of the commander however he was more surprised how much he had actually enjoyed it. The morning went quickly as the work progressed on studying Lore. Data had kept a close watch on his brother but found he was acting like a perfect gentleman to Lieutenant Collins. They took a break for lunch, at which time Data met Raygan in the lounge. "I spoke to my parents and they will be coming tomorrow afternoon for a couple of days. They were so thrilled we are going to get married again," Raygan smiled. "I am looking forward to seeing them. How has your morning been?" he asked. "Goofy!" she exclaimed. "Admiral T’Vel wants a report about my department's activities since the crash. I got the staff together and we have almost finished telling him how we spent our summer vacations," she laughed. "Would it be wise to send that to him?" Data asked. "We won't but it's been fun hearing what everyone did. How was your morning?" "Interesting. Commander Maddox has brought in an assistant who will continue to work with him upon our departure," he told Raygan. "Lore's agreed to stay?" Raygan asked in a surprised tone. "I do not believe he was planning to however he seems to be quite infatuated with Lieutenant Collins, Commander Maddox's assistant. I have been watching him and his ethical program appears to be fully integrated into his programming now," Data replied. Raygan had changed the subject to the upcoming renewing of their vows when Data motioned to her to see who had just entered the lounge. It was Lore and Data was not surprised to see he was in the company of the pretty young cyberneticist. Raygan and Data continued their discussion, however, both did periodically glance over at Lore and Lieutenant Collins. They had almost finished their lunch when Lieutenant Hawk, a new crewmember assigned to the Enterprise-E, requested to speak to Data for a moment. As the two men moved to the bar, Raygan continued to eat her lunch when Lore suddenly sat down in Data's seat. "I want to apologize to you," Lore started. "My behavior towards you was unforgivable. My only excuse is that my ethical program hadn't fully assimilated at the time. I really am happy you and Data are together again and wish you both the best. I hope one day you’ll be able to forgive me." Raygan was a little stunned by Lore's statement. Before she could respond, Lore excused himself to rejoin his lunch date. When Data returned to the table, Raygan told him what Lore had said. Both of them stole a look over to the other table where Lore still sat with Lieutenant Collins. They noted Lore, who was leaning over the table holding the woman's hand, was so intent on her they doubted he realized other people were in the room with them. "Do you think it is possible for him to fall in love?" Data mused. Raygan was not convinced he was actually asking her. "I guess it’s possible.” When the meal was finished, Data took Raygan by the hand and led her back to their quarters. They had a little time before they had to return to duty and he hoped there was time for other activities first, just thinking about the possibility was causing Data to become aroused. Once they entered their quarters, Raygan turned to Data giving him the once over. "You didn't forget anything here, Data. Why did you really want-" she started to say but her words were cut off by Data's kiss. Data started to remove Raygan's uniform and soon they were both naked and rolling around on the floor of their quarters. Data moved his hand slowly down Raygan's body until he came to her thigh. He gently stroked her skin before moving to insert his fingers into Raygan's vagina. He massaged her clit and pumped his fingers in and out of her until she was wet. Then he quickly penetrated her with his stiff erection. He panted with need as he thrust into her. Watching her walk, feeling her brush against him as they had made their way here, her leg touching his as they ate lunch, her voice, her scent - everything about her caused Data to long for her. He found her mouth and claimed it with hungry kisses. Her nails were digging into his back and he found the sensation enthralling. Before long, Data was unsure if it was his voice giving a lusty cry or hers. But the tremors pulsating through her sexy body told him she had found release. Data pumped into her harder and faster until he found his own rapture. She looked up at him, grinning. "I take it you wanted to make love," she mused once she could think straight again. Data gave her a guilty grin. "I am sorry. I needed you. I did not-" "Don't apologize, my love. That was wonderful." She pulled his face to hers to emphasize her point with a lusty kiss. "I wish we had more time," Raygan pouted. "So do I, however, we both must hurry or we will be late," Data commiserated. They got dressed and shared some more hot kisses before leaving their quarters and heading for their respective stations. When Data arrived at the lab, he found Lieutenant Collins and Lore had already returned, however Commander Maddox was noticeably absent. Data approached the pair still wary of Lore's intentions with Lieutenant Collins. When Maddox finally arrived, he indicated he wished to speak to Lore privately for a few moments. Data took the opportunity to have a chat with Lieutenant Collins. "Did you have a good lunch?" Data asked her. "Yes, sir. Lore is very charming," she answered. "But you don't need to worry about me, Commander. I am aware of Lore's past. I am being very careful around him and plan to until he proves he has truly changed." "That is a wise precaution. My brother has been known to fool even the most skeptical. Please remember he has in the past been a danger to those he claimed to wish to help. You have a promising career ahead of you, Lieutenant Collins. Do not allow my brother to steal that opportunity away from you." Data knew he sounded like a father speaking to a wayward child, but he could not help but worry. Lore had a bad track record and trust was not going to be something Data easily gave him. "I promise I'll let my head lead and not my heart," she vowed. Data nodded and let her be. Lore walked away from Maddox a few minutes later looking irritated. He came over to Data and pulled his brother aside. "Ego man thinks I should leave Sasha alone. I'm never going to be trusted by anyone, am I?" Lore asked, looking almost like he was pouting or ready to punch a hole through a wall. "You have done much evil and been very careless with many people who trusted you. You will have a long road to travel before you are able to restore that trust, my brother," Data told him. "And that includes you, doesn't it?" Data nodded. "I hope one day I will earn your trust, and Raygan's," Lore told him. "I would like it if we could be like brothers should be, Data." "That will take time, Lore," Data responded "But time is something we have in abundance." "A chance to prove myself is all I ask." At the end of the day, Data made his way back to his quarters. One more day in the lab and then he and Raygan would be aboard the Enterprise and away from Maddox. Raygan was already there when Data arrived. He walked up behind her, wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed the nape of her neck. Raygan turned around and threw her arms around Data's neck. "I missed you this afternoon," she smiled before kissing him. Data sighed. "I missed you as well. I have a surprise for you. Geordi will be coming over this evening to bring me the remnants of my ruined memory engrams. He has warned me there is very little left, but what remained he transferred to new engrams. He will install it for me when he arrives." Raygan looked thrilled. "Did he say what was there?" "He found a way to scan and download the information without actually viewing them. He did not wish to invade our privacy." Data gave her a thoughtful smile and Raygan gave Data a squeeze. "You have the most thoughtful, wonderful best friend," Raygan told him as she nuzzled his cheek. Data could not argue. Geordi came to their quarters about an hour later, just after they had finished with dinner. He had Data sit as he told the couple he hoped there were some memories of the two of them they could enjoy remembering. "I'll install the engrams, Data and then I'll go. Gook luck," he said and opened the top of Data's head to gain access to the proper area of Data's brain. It only took Geordi a moment to slip the engrams into place. Data's eyes were moving back and forth as he processed the information even before Geordi had put his head back to rights. Leaning over, Geordi gave Raygan a quick kiss on the cheek and paused as she hugged him. With a parting nod, he was gone. Raygan moved a chair next to Data and watched as he finished processing the memories on the engrams. When Data was finished, he looked at Raygan and smiled. "Well?" Raygan asked excitedly. "What was he able to recover?" "There are flashes of many memories. Some are of walking down corridors on the Enterprise or being at my station on the bridge," he began. "Are there any of us?" "Yes," Data smiled. "You will have to fill in some details for me though. I have a memory of us being on a boat. We are going in to a bathroom, I believe, and you have a wet shirt. You look so sexy and we start to make love in this bathroom." "That was in Alaska. We went on a whale watching boat tour. I was splashed by a whale," Raygan explained. "I also have a memory of you wearing a very small bikini," he smirked. "That’s from Alaska again. We sort of went swimming in the pool at Will's house. That was the day-" "I proposed," Data finished. "I have a very brief memory of proposing to you but not your response." "I said yes," she teased. "Another memory I have of the two of us appears to be a 5.64 minute memory from our wedding reception. I am very happy to have at least a small memory of my own from that day rather than only seeing it in recordings and pictures," Data told her before kissing her tenderly. "I have several from an earlier time, but I believe I understand most of them," Data told her. "Like what?" she asked, reaching for his hand. "Discussing a Holmes mystery. The memory is incomplete, so I do not know which mystery we were discussing or what character, but I was fascinated by you." Data looked deeply into her eyes as he ran his fingers over hers. "I bet I seemed rather taken with you too," she said. Data looked away as he searched this memory fragment. "Yes, you seemed distracted. You blushed often and you touched me - often. I have several memories of not only experiencing this, but analyzing my thoughts about this fact." "And are any of your conclusions there?" she asked. "One. I remember standing in front of the case that held my emotion chip. I only wish I could remember the kiss I shared with you that is shown in the holo-frame." Data cast a longing glance at the frame. "I do too but you got back some. Let's count our blessings for that. And thank Geordi again. But first, see if this rings any bells." She gave him a suggestive smile and slipped from her chair and the room. Data continued to go over some of his memories until Raygan called to him from the bedroom. When he entered the room, she was wearing the very same outfit from the boat memory and had done something to wet the front of her tee shirt. The nipples of her breasts could clearly be seen through the shirt and just looking at this caused Data to feel himself growing hard. Data grinned at Raygan and came over to where she was standing and kissed her. He continued moving so Raygan was walking backwards and could not see where Data was leading her, not that she cared as his kiss was so hot he could have taken her to the turbolift and she would not have cared. Once they stopped, Raygan realized Data had led her into the bathroom. "You better take that off before you catch cold," he grinned as he started to remove Raygan's wet shirt while she reached to undo his pants and pushed them to the floor. Data kissed her hard as he bunched her skirt up around her waist and pushed her panties to the floor. He moved Raygan against the wall and penetrated her deeply with his rock hard penis and began to thrust into her. Raygan wrapped her leg around Data’s hip to encourage him to go deeper. Data enjoyed a replay of the fragmented memory as he relived it in the present with his sexy wife. Her body was always so welcoming of him. Her hands ran greedily over his body as he slammed into her over and over. His hands roamed her back, pulling her body tighter against him before moving down to her ass. He was kneading her butt cheeks in time with her panting as he pumped harder and harder. Raygan let loose with an "ahhhhh!" as she convulsed against him. Data loved the sounds she made as she came, it always excited him now and he suspected it always had. A deep moan ripped from his throat as he came fiercely within her. She had not caught her breath when Data pulled out and turned Raygan to face the wall. Lifting her arms so they were above her, he had her hold on to the wall, to brace herself. Gripping her waist firmly, he recalled the enticing memory of her body barely covered by that thong bikini. Lifting her slightly, he lowered her back down on his still throbbing erection. With a sharp intake of breath, Raygan threw her head forward and arched her body to press into Data. Data delighted in how much of her sexy body his hands had access to in this position. He intended to take full advantage of that fact. Data's hands were all over Raygan. Gliding from her stomach up to her breasts, he took them in his hands and squeezed firmly but gently. He fingered her hard nipples as Raygan's moans echoed in the room. He kneaded her breasts as he continued to pump in and out of Raygan. Her moans became louder the harder he thrust. He still had not discovered her limit and that excited him more. Raygan called out his name as she came again. Her body quivered and, for a moment, her knees almost buckled. Data kept going until he experienced his own release. Raygan turned to face him as soon as he had pulled out of her. There was a look of a tigress in her green eyes when she did. She grabbed his shoulders and propelled him backward into their bedroom. With a shove, she pushed him onto the bed, then crawled over his body until she came to his mouth, claiming it with her own. Data flung his arms around her, pulling her closer. When Raygan moved to kiss his face and neck, Data whispered in her ear. "I love you, Raygan. I do not believe anything could keep me from loving you for the rest of my existence." "We are destined to be together forever," Raygan whispered between kisses. Suddenly they heard a voice from the other room. "Priority one message received," the computer informed them. Data and Raygan looked at each other and sighed. Since it was just a message they did not grab any clothes. It was from Captain Picard to all senior bridge officers and department heads informing them of a briefing that would take place aboard the Enterprise at 0900 hours. As they were watching the message, Data's hands were exploring Raygan's body, making it difficult for her to concentrate on it. As soon as the message was finished, Data picked Raygan up and sat her on the edge of the desk. He kissed her with great passion as he moved between her legs. "My husband is full of surprises today," Raygan noted as Data leaned her back and ran his tongue between her breasts. "As my wife has been," he added, as he moved to take a breast in his mouth. His hands still roamed her body, loving the feel of every inch of her, every curve, and every sexy inch of her silky smooth skin. Raygan leaned against the wall behind the desk and let the pleasure Data was giving her take over her senses. Data's thumb had finally found her greatest pleasure point and tenderly massaged her there as his fingers entered her, slowly sliding in and out, enjoying the feel and the sounds Raygan made in response to his touch. He lowered his body down between her legs, sliding his tongue straight down. He wanted to taste her. Raygan spread her legs further to allow him complete access to his target. She moaned deeply as he took her clit into his mouth, sucking gently. His fingers were still darting in and out of Raygan as he sucked her clit. Raygan's moans were more intense as he pleasured her more and more. He moved his tongue to replace his fingers in Raygan while he fingered her clit. Raygan arched her back and let out a breathy aaaaaahhhh as she came. Once Data had licked up the last of Raygan's nectar, he stood up and penetrated her quickly. Raygan gasped and then sighed as Data thrust deeper inside her. She wrapped her legs around him, linking her ankles and pulling him in tighter. Data plunged deeper and deeper. He leaned forward to kiss her and Raygan could taste her own cum on his tongue. It excited her to the point she was quickly arching her back and pressing her hard nipples against his chest as she came again. Data could feel the waves of pleasure building to a fevered peak as he delighted in the quivering of her body pressed against his. He tried to hold it back, engrossed in the marvelous feel of being squeezed by her as she came, but rapture would not be denied and Data too was gasping as his orgasm ripped through him, causing him to cry out loudly. Thank heaven for soundproofing. Data led Raygan to the bed as it was getting late and he wanted to make sure she was well rested for the briefing in the morning. As they cuddled in each other's arms, Data watched Raygan drift off into sleep before activating his dream program. In the morning, Raygan was awakened by something poking her from behind. She turned to discover Data had been having interesting dreams as it was his erection poking her. Raygan smiled mischievously and gently moved Data to his back without waking him. He did wake up after Raygan had straddled him and lowered herself on his erection. She leaned down to kiss him. "Good morning, my love," she whispered as she raised and lowered herself. "Ahhhhh," was his only reply. He grabbed at her shoulders and returned her kiss with fire. His hands made their way down her back until he gripped her ass, helping her rhythm. Data made sure to move in a way that would increase Raygan's pleasure and very soon she was breaking their kiss to pant as her climax washed over her. Her motions faltered for a moment, but as her orgasm faded, her eyes and jaw looked set. She increased her pace and squeezed Data tightly until he too was in the throws of orgasm. After Raygan moved next to Data, she rested her head on his shoulder. "What were you dreaming about? she asked. "You," he responded with a smile. "It must have been a pretty hot dream," she smirked. "It was very exciting. I dreamed we had gone to Risa and we made love the entire time we were there." "Sounds wonderful." "I will tell you more later however we must get ready for the briefing," Data reminded her. An hour later, they made their way to a transporter room to beam aboard the Enterprise. They found their way to the observation lounge and took their places at the table, chatting with the other officers while they waited for the briefing to start. Data and Raygan got a chance to quickly thank Geordi for his efforts in saving what he could of Data's memories before Captain Picard entered the room and began the meeting. The meeting was simply to inform the senior staff of the details regarding the transfer of personnel and their personal belongings to the Enterprise-E. The details of their first mission were also relayed. It was to be a simple errand, delivering medical personnel and supplies to a planet experiencing an outbreak of Veltoxin flu. There were two other ships scheduled to send supplies, so their shipment was timed for when the planet would be expected to run through what had arrived before. The exchanging of vows for Lieutenant Commander Data and his bride, Lieutenant Commander Raygan Soong would take place in two days and three hours, after that the Enterprise-E would be leaving dry-dock for her first mission. After the briefing was concluded, a tour of the new ship was conducted by a member of the design team. The ship was very impressive. After the tour was ended, everyone returned to Starfleet Command to continue with their duties. Raygan and Data had arranged to use some shore leave while Raygan's parents visited. Raymond and Nalla Silver arrived a few hours later in San Francisco and were overjoyed to see their daughter looking as happy as the last time they had seen her. Raygan re-introduced Data to her parents. "It is a pleasure to meet you again," Data greeted them. "It is good to see you, Data. I understand you have had a few memory fragments recovered?" Raymond commented as he shook Data's hand. "Yes, there were a number of memory fragments of Raygan and me as well as a few memories of the two of you." Nalla took hold of both of Data's elbows and patted him, looking regretful. Finally, she seemed to decide patting him was not enough and took Data in her arms to give him a motherly hug. "I’m just relieved you were not seriously hurt, Data." She released him and looked him in the eyes. "New memories we can make, new Datas we can't." Raymond also took a turn giving Data a hug. It was a relief to see Raygan was still in love with Data and he had fallen in love with her all over again. The two couples headed for the lounge and talked as they enjoyed a relaxed and happy meal. Data was surprised how much he enjoyed introducing the Silvers to Commander Maddox, who was there alone. One of the memory fragments recovered was of Maddox questioning Data regarding his in-laws. Data found great satisfaction from the look on Maddox’s face when he was given the proof of Data’s acceptance by Raygan’s parents. Data had received permission from Captain Picard to re-board the Enterprise so he and Raygan could give Raymond and Nalla a tour of their new ship. They spent most of the afternoon looking around. The Silvers were very impressed to see the Stellar Sciences Department and Raygan's office, which already had her name on the door. They were also very impressed with the bridge as Data pointed out which station would be his, the captain's chair and other points of interest. Data had also found out what quarters he and Raygan would be assigned and included that on the tour. It was the first chance Raygan had to see their new home too. After the tour, they all went to Data and Raygan's quarters for a nice meal. Spot was very happy to see Raymond and Nalla again and cuddled between them on the couch while dinner was being prepared. Dinner was relaxed and comfortable. They talked of some of the events Data had forgotten and of plans for the future. "You will visit anytime you are near Earth, correct?" Nalla asked, eagerly. "Of course we will," Raygan assured her mother. "We know you’ve only been married for a few weeks and that you, Data, forgot most of that, but we were wondering-" Raymond looked a little unsure. "What about children?" Nalla finished for her husband. Raymond nodded and they both turned their questioning gazes at Raygan and Data. "I am incapable of fathering children-" Data responded. "But if we decide we want to have children one day, there are ways," Raygan finished. "Whether we decide to continue Dr. Soong's work or have a donor." Data tried not to show his surprise as he had not known Raygan had considered the possibility of their creating another offspring. "Did I tell you about Lal?" Data asked her. "Yes, Data, you did," Raygan replied, as she squeezed his hand. "Who is Lal?" Nalla asked. "Lal was my daughter. She only lived for a short time before she suffered irreversible cascade failure. She enriched my life a great deal during the time we had together," Data explained. Raygan could see the loss of Lal still affected Data. Raymond and Nalla looked at each other unsure of what to say. They had always hoped one day they would have a grandchild. They loved Data like a son but the possibility of never having grandchildren was not something they had thought about until recently. "I think one day, down the line, I would like to have one baby, but we have lots of time to talk about that," Raygan said as she gave Data a smile. Data was again shocked, but the idea of having a baby with Raygan was an appealing idea. "You would have me adopt the child?" he questioned. "The child would be yours. You would be as involved as any father would be. Don't worry about it now, love. I have about 150 childbearing years left, so there is no hurry." "Unless you wish to break your father’s heart, that is," Raymond injected. "I don't, but-" Raygan began, upset, but Data took the lead from her this time. "I am sure we will find a suitable time and agreement about how to conceive such a child, in a time frame you will agree to." Data knew the discussion of children would be something he and Raygan would have to continue later in private. The whole evening with Raymond and Nalla was very enjoyable. After the Silvers had left for the evening, Data thought to himself how lucky he was to not only have found a woman who loved him so much, but to also have her family be so wonderful too. Data was enjoying cuddling on the couch with Raygan as his mind focused on family. "I would like to talk more about our having children," Data informed Raygan. "Specifically, about creating an offspring as I attempted with Lal. I wish to make sure you completely understand the risks involved. My father had created a number of prototypes that suffered cascade failure before he finally succeeded in creating a stable neural net. There is always the possibility something could go wrong later, such as was the case with Lore." "There will be risks no matter how we choose to have children, Data. There are always risks, but we will face them together. You will let me help, won't you?" "I will allow you to help in anyway you can. As for babies, you only wish one?" Data asked, making sure. "Well, I don't really know. We never really talked about having children, even before. What do you think?" she asked. Data's face lit up with a bemused smile. "I think you will be a wonderful mother. I think I will wish to paint your portrait as you carry the child. Perhaps a series, showing the growth." "’The’ child, Data? I want you to think of a child created using a donor as being as much ‘our’ child as a child created with a positronic brain would be." "Our child," Data repeated. "Yes, Data," Raygan smiled. "I don't want to have a child if he or she is not going to be 'our' child." "Our child" Data said again and smiled. "That sounds wonderful." "You're wonderful," Raygan smiled as she leaned over to kiss him. "What should we tell your parents about a timetable?" he asked. "We can tell them to be patient. We are getting married for the second time soon. We need time for just the two of us before we decide when to start a family," she said. "Let's go to bed. I have a feeling we will need all the rest we can get. With what they’ve planned for us tomorrow, it will make even you tired," Raygan laughed. "What do they have planned?" Data asked. "They want to see all of San Francisco," Raygan informed him. "Aah," was Data's only response. As Data was lead to the bedroom by his wife, he took a moment to gaze fondly at the view her backside provided. With a mischievous grin, he asked. "Are you planning on going straight to sleep, Raygan?" "I sure am," she told him. Data sighed, dejected. Raygan turned to him and pressed her body against him. "As soon as you get me ready for sleep in the best way." Her purring tone left no room for doubt as to her meaning. Data's frown became a pleased smirk almost worthy of Lore. "Allow me to assist you out of your clothing," he suggested in the old helpful tone he used before the emotion chip. “No, my love. Let me help you," she cooed and began removing his shirt in a very hasty fashion. Once his pants hit the floor, Data carelessly kicked them aside. Raygan then pushed him over to the bed and brought her still clothed body over his nude one. She loved the look of him as he became erect. It took very little for her to cause it in him and, at times, that was a wonderful and powerful feeling. Data pulled Raygan closer to him and began to undress her. He let her clothing drop on the floor by her feet and, when she was nude, pulled her into his arms, kissing her hard. His erection was pressed against Raygan and she loved the way it felt against her skin. She guided Data onto the bed and, after he lay down, crawled over to him, stopping to admire his stiff penis. She lowered her mouth to its head and gently kissed it before running her tongue along the top and then around the underside. Data gasped at the sensations produced by Raygan's touches. She now took the head into her mouth as she pumped his shaft with her hand. She raised and lowered her mouth while she gently fondled his balls with her hand. Data's moans were becoming louder and more frequent as Raygan continued her pleasurable actions. With a deep breathy moan, Data sat up. He reached out with urgency and took hold of Raygan's face. He kissed her hard and pulled her body over his. Kissing her again, he rolled with her until he was on top of her, where he lifted up and smiled down at her. "I need to touch you too," he told her and turned around, positioning himself over her hips and allowing Raygan to once again have access to his throbbing penis. As Data settled in, he gently spread her lower lips apart to allow for a better view. Slowly, he lowered his tongue down to taste the sweet juices already pouring from her. Raygan gasped at Data's attention to her clit, but wasted no time in taking him back in her mouth. She loved how she could run her hand over his body in this position. She kneaded his ass cheeks before running a hand up to pinch a nipple as she stroked his balls. Data helped her by thrusting slightly with his hips, so her tongue-lashing had as much of an affect as his was having on her. Data's fingers penetrated Raygan as he continued his oral assault of her clit. The sensations within him were building and soon he exploded on Raygan, giving her a facial, before she could get her mouth around him fully to collect the rest of his cum. Once she had licked the last of his nectar, Data maneuvered himself between Raygan's legs and continued his pleasuring of her until her body started to quiver from the orgasm she was experiencing. Data licked up all of Raygan's cum and moved up her body to claim her mouth with his. "Tired yet?" Data asked her. "I think I'm getting a second wind," Raygan told him before pulling his lips back to hers. She was delighted to feel Data had not lost his erection but was not surprised to feel him push her legs back apart and penetrate her deeply. She ran her fingers through his hair and whispered in his ear, "I can never seem to get enough of you, Data. You have a way of turning me on like no other man in my life has. Never stop." "I do not ever plan on stopping," Data whispered as he thrust deeper into Raygan. "Your affect on me is unparalleled too." Raygan's hands pulled Data's face closer to claim his mouth in a passionate kiss. She only broke the kiss to let out a moan of pleasure. Raygan reached down to squeeze Data's butt before bringing her legs up to his waist. He penetrated Raygan a little further than he had ever done before still trying to find Raygan's limit. Raygan's moans indicated to him he still had not reached that point. Soon Raygan arched her back while she threw back her head, letting out a loud gasp as she climaxed. Data soon joined Raygan in the throws of ecstasy as he came within her. He too felt as though he could do this forever, but Raygan needed her sleep. It took quite an effort, but he pulled out of her with a heavy sigh and moved to lay beside her. "Again?" she asked, hopefully. Data shook his head. "You need your rest. We have a big day tomorrow as you were telling me, so we should now sleep." He kissed her tenderly, but Raygan held out hope she could convince her husband otherwise and wrapped her leg around him. She rubbed her groin against Data and ran her fingers up and down his back, but Data pulled away and gave her a disappointed expression. "Sleep, my love. We have the rest of our lives to make love. We will not get the chance to spend time with your parents often." With a child-like pout, Raygan sighed and gave up. He was right, as always, so she lay her head on his chest, let him wrap her up in his arms and closed her eyes. Data was not surprised when it took only minutes for her to fall asleep. He smiled to himself and joined her in dreaming. Early the next morning, Raymond and Nalla joined them for breakfast in their quarters before the foursome headed off to explore San Francisco. They visited many areas and took a number of holo-pictures in the ancient Fisherman's Wharf area and of the replica Golden Gate Bridge. They found a nice café for lunch and enjoyed many local specialties while resting from their vigorous morning activities. The afternoon was for activities such as riding the replica streetcars through the hills and visiting a number of other areas. Finally, they concluded the afternoon with a tour of the grounds of Starfleet Academy. When they concluded their tour, they went to a nearby restaurant for a lovely dinner. When talk turned to the subject of the wedding, Data asked Nalla if she felt he was being foolish for having a second one so soon after the first. "Data, we understand why you want this second wedding. You want to remember it and it’s perfectly normal to wish that. It is not a selfish desire, it’s a desire to share in something wonderful, to be a part of that. You are our daughter's husband - our son. We want you to be happy, just as we want Raysa to be happy." Data smiled and sighed with relief. He was worried people would think he was being selfish or vain by asking everyone to go through all this again. Raygan was patting his hand and looking at him with compassionate eyes. "I agree. I will do anything to make you happy, Data. I love you." She kissed his cheek, tenderly and then took hold of his chin to kiss his lips. He hoped she did not do that again, or he would be very embarrassed. Her touch was always so arousing to him. Nalla and Raymond were leaving first thing in the morning so they said their good-byes that evening. As soon as they left, Data wrapped his arms around Raygan and kissed her. "Your parents are very good people," he smiled. "I am very lucky they have accepted me into your family again." "They love you, Data," she said before kissing him. "And I love you." "I am the luckiest sentient in the universe to have found you, my love." Data picked Raygan up and carried her into the bedroom. "Tonight and every night, I want to show you how much I love you." "I have no complaints about that idea," she told him brightly, just before he playfully tossed her on the bed. Data moved to join her there as Raygan held her arms out to him. They kissed tenderly to start, but when Raygan opened her mouth to allow their tongues to explore each other, passions flared. She could feel Data pressing his swollen desire against her and she longed to have it inside her. She began to pull Data’s shirt from his back as she moaned with the pleasure of his touch. Data followed her lead and helped her out of her top. How it was that the feel of her breast on his tongue continued to excite him each and every time, Data did not know, but he hoped it remained this way. Sliding his hand down her sexy body, he found the top of her skirt and slipped his hand underneath. He was not too surprised to discover Raygan was not wearing anything under her skirt as he lowered his hand between her legs and fondled her clit. He stopped only long enough to pull Raygan's skirt off so she now lay naked on the bed. Data kissed Raygan while returning his hand to its former position. Raygan reached down and undid Data's pants. She pushed them down as far as she could reach before using her feet to push them further down. Data kicked his pants off the rest of the way as Raygan stroked his erection. Data moved down slightly and took Raygan's breast in his mouth. He licked, kissed, sucked and nipped at her nipple causing Raygan to moan loudly. He soon moved his mouth to her other breast while he fondled her other with his hand. Once Raygan's nipples were rock hard, he moved up to reclaim her mouth with his and penetrated her sweetness with his stiffness. Hot lust, desire and love shot through them both as the energy that was a part of their marriage bond raced to every erogenous zone in their bodies. Both sighed and moaned with exquisite pleasure at the increasing intensity of the energy flowing between them. Data’s thrusts became deeper and harder but Raygan only urged him on. She never seemed to be afraid he would hurt her, but Data was always careful to measure the force he used with her. Still, she took much more than he had ever dreamed of being able to give to a woman and it made him crazy with desire. Raygan cried out as her orgasm washed over her body. The sound of Raygan's orgasms always pushed Data to the brink. He thrust harder into Raygan as she continued to moan. He felt that glorious electricity rush through his body as his own climax swept over him. Once they had both recovered from the ecstasy, Data withdrew from Raygan and kissed her passionately. He moved beside her and pulled her into his arms so their bodies were completely entwined with each other. As the rush of their union subsided, Data could not help but move his hands over Raygan’s body. Every curve of her silky smooth flesh excited him. He roamed over her, enjoying the different levels of tingling energy these touches caused. Certain areas produced a more electrifying reaction than others, but just touching her was wonderful. Moving his left hand ever so slowly down her spine, Data’s breath caught as the level increased once his hand was over her sexy bottom. Moving lower still, there was a jump in the intensity as his fingers moved to her clit. Concentrating on this feeling, he felt near orgasm again as his other hand moved to enter her with three fingers, while he massaged her clit with the other. Thrilled at this experience, Data pushed her legs apart and climbed between them. The energy was soon racing through his tongue as well. Through it all, Raygan moaned. His tongue darted in and out of Raygan as he fingered her clit. Raygan's moans escalated with each touch of his tongue. He moved his mouth to her clit and began to suck on it as it grew harder and harder while his fingers continued the penetrating pleasure for Raygan. His efforts were soon rewarded as Raygan's body was reacting intensely to his tongue-lashing. Her back arched as she cried out and came while Data collected as much of her sweet nectar as he could. He left just enough to provide lubrication for the act that would give his wife her next orgasm. He penetrated her with an erection harder than any human male was capable of. She panted with delight as he filled her with his length. Raygan clutched Data’s body as though her life depended on him thrusting into her as far as possible. Data seemed to be following along those lines and trying to push her to her limit, but Raygan was tougher than he knew. She took all he gave and begged for more. Astounded she could endure this much, he found himself strongly aroused as well, and just as she threw her head back, panting his name, Data exploded inside her, filling her with cum. They clutched on to each other until they had recovered from the powerful orgasms each had experienced. Data kissed Raygan as he withdrew from her and lay next to her on the bed. "I find it to be extremely arousing trying to find your limits, my love," Data whispered. Raygan grinned back at Data, "And I will not tell you what my limits are, Data. I want you to discover that for yourself." "I am looking forward to conducting further research on the matter," he said in a pre-emotion chip tone before laughing. "When do you think you would like to start conducting this further research?" Raygan smirked. "I believe the present would be a good time to continue," Data responded as he grabbed Raygan and kissed her again. Once again, trying to push on Raygan's limits, Data pulled her arms together and over her head. "If you wish me to stop, say so and I will desist at once," Data instructed her. Nodding, Raygan raised an eyebrow, intrigued. Data held her hand over hand while he ripped a strip of the bed sheet with his free hand. He used this to tie Raygan's arms together in a secure but comfortable manner. He secured the end of the shredded fabric to the top of the bed. Ripping one more piece, Data kissed Raygan before applying this piece over her lovely eyes. She looked a little uncertain, but when questioned, she wanted to proceed. She could hear Data leave the room for several minutes and when he returned, she waited what seemed like forever before he touched her body, or rather, something did. After a second, she realized it was a feather. She could not control the giggles and squirming. Data ran the feather over her breasts and down her body. When he ran it over her inner thighs, Raygan moved her legs together. Data took hold of a foot and tied it gently to the bed. Moving to the other side, he tied her left leg too. Completely at his mercy, Raygan knew she was dripping wet as he returned to stroke her thighs and even her clit with the feather. Raygan's gasps and sighs told Data she was enjoying this game. He could tell Raygan's body temperature had risen and decided to go to the next surprise. He took a piece of ice and ran it over her nipples, causing Raygan to gasp in surprise before moaning. Her nipples were becoming harder from the coolness of the ice but also from how aroused she was. After he finished with the ice, Data leaned over Raygan's chest and gently blew on her breasts and nipples, causing Raygan to squirm and moan his name loudly. He then brought the feather back into action by running it over her breasts. "You told me about how we had once discussed the pleasure of feeding one's partner. I wish to test this theory as well," Data told her. Raygan felt something touch her lips so she reached out with her tongue to feel a cool but rough surface. Data moved the item closer and she bit into it, causing the sweet juices of the strawberry to drip down her chin. She licked her lips seductively to capture the juice. She could hear Data's breathing slow. He slowly feed her the rest of the strawberry and brought another to her lips, but this one was covered in sweet cream. She could feel the bed move as Data changed his position for the next item. He brought something that was more room temperature to her lips and, after a tiny nibble, she realized it was a banana. With a wicked grin, she allowed Data to bring the fruit closer. She delighted in his sharp intake of breath as she took much of the fruit into her mouth and allowed him to pull it out again as she dragged her teeth along the outside of the banana, exposing the slick inside. Data completely withdrew the fruit for a few seconds before offering it again. Raygan repeated her action as Data's breath caught. The third time she went to take the fruit into her mouth, she realized she was no longer taking a banana. This was much sweeter and much bigger. Data slowly withdrew from Raygan's mouth as she ran her teeth along the edge of his shaft until she only had the head in her mouth. As Data pulled out completely, Raygan's tongue darted out for another taste. "More please," Raygan pleaded. Data decide to tease Raygan a little by re-introducing the banana. Data told Raygan to open her mouth again and he slid the banana in slowly before pulling it out. Raygan surprised Data this time by taking a bite out of the end of the banana. Data gently ran his fingers along Raygan's lips as she swallowed the banana. He then slid his finger in and out of Raygan's mouth as she pursed her lips around it. She began to suck Data's finger so hard when he brought it back in, he could feel the servos around his groin tighten. Time to step this up. Data reached over to a tray he had brought in and picked up another item to replace the banana. Taking a small fine haired paintbrush, Data applied a dab of something cool feeling to Raygan's left nipple. The coolness caused her nipple to harden. Data touched her right breast with the brush and painted all around the areola. Raygan was squirming as this nipple tightened to a tiny point. Data brushed a line of the substance down her body, starting between her breasts and stopping just above her pubic area. "What is that you are putting on me, Data?" she asked him, meekly. "You will know soon enough," he assured her. He moved the brush to paint down the insides of her thigh as Raygan lay trembling with desire. Once he had reached the toe of one foot, he painted up the foot of her other leg, again hitting her inner thigh. She could not hold back her moans. She could feel him move near the top of the bed and, a moment later, the brush touched her lips. Her tongue darted out to taste, discovering he was painting her body with chocolate. She could hear him put down the paint, and now it seemed that it was time to lick it off. Raygan could feel Data moving on the bed before she felt his tongue on her foot. He licked and sucked the chocolate from her toe before slowly making his way up her right leg. The incredible sensations Raygan felt caused her to squirm with delight. As Data finished removing the chocolate from Raygan's upper thigh, he blew gently on Raygan's clit causing her to moan loudly. He smiled and made his way down to her other foot and began again the process of removing the chocolate. After finishing the chocolate on her upper thigh, he paused for a moment before moving to her stomach. He very slowly ran his tongue between her breasts as Raygan's breathing became shallower in between gasps of pleasure. Soon, Data had licked every trace of chocolate from Raygan's body, leaving her writhing in the delicious agony of being right on the edge for a long time. Data grinned down at her. He could tell she was dripping wet and much more than ready for him. With a desire filled sigh, Data plunged his rock hard length into his wife. Raygan arched her back and seemed to be struggling against her bonds to touch her husband. She let out a long gasp and then many moans. Data took her from nothing to a pace impossible for a human male and she only seemed to want more. Wave after wave of powerful orgasms rushed through Raygan's body, causing her to moan Data's name over and over. Data kept going, watching Raygan closely as each of her orgasms was more intense than the last. Data exploded inside as he reached his own exquisite climax. Raygan was experiencing her most powerful orgasm when suddenly she went limp. "Raygan! Raygan, are you all right?" Data asked frantically. When Raygan did not respond he quickly removed the fabric from her eyes, wrists and ankles. "Raygan!" He was becoming increasingly concerned as she lay there. Raygan began to move and opened her eyes to see a very frightened Data staring down at her. "Data, what happened?" she asked. "You appear to have fainted. I will take you to sickbay immediately," he responded, still concerned. "That isn't necessary, Data," Raygan assured him. "I know what happened. It’s called Komra. My mother had told me about this but I didn't think it was possible. When a certain level of pleasure is reached, it’s called Komra. My mother told me only a small percentage of Rekellian women ever experience it. From now on Data, the bond we have between us will be even stronger." Raygan reached up to touch Data's cheek and he could feel the energy was indeed more intense. "I feel it," Data smiled broadly. "Are you sure you do not need to go to sickbay, Raygan?" He was still concerned about her fainting, even if it was part of Komra. "I'm sure, Data. I'm fine. Can you imagine the look on the doctor's face as I explained I fainted from having how many orgasms?" "I see your point," Data grinned sheepishly. Still feeling protective of his wife, Data pulled her over until her head was resting on his chest. He rubbed her back in gentle circles and soon began to sing to her. Raygan felt completely relaxed from Data's ministrations. She knew, however, her husband was not. She could feel the remaining tension in his body just by how he moved and held her. Raygan ran her hand over Data's chest, sighing with contentment as she did. She snuggled up just under his chin, lifting to kiss it before laying back down to enjoy his song. When he finished singing, Raygan raised up again to kiss him on the mouth. "I love you, Data. I can't believe how lucky I am to have found my perfect mate and actually convinced him to marry me, not once, but twice. You always make me feel so loved and protected. I cherish you, Data." Her expression was so sincere, Data could not help but believe her. "I love you with all that I am, Raygan. I believe I always will," he told her. He brought her lips to his, giving her a tender kiss. He was stunned when Raygan deepened the kiss and moved in a way Data knew was intended to arouse him. "You cannot possibly want to make love again?" "Just once more. I am tired after all of that, but I want to feel the increase in our bond. Please, just once more," she begged. Data could not deny her. He too was curious about the increase in their energy. He kissed Raygan as he moved partially on top of her. He ran his hand down her body slowly, starting at her neck and moving lower. He cupped her breast with his hand, gently kneading it and pulling at her nipple until it began to harden. He continued to lower his hand down her torso, caressing her stomach. He continued to go lower until he reached Raygan's clit and began to rub it with his fingers. The intensity of their bond had definitely increased substantially as Raygan writhed in pleasure from his touch. "Data," she moaned softly. Data smiled. He knew his wife was ready for him so he slowly moved between her legs and penetrated her deeply with his stiffness. He was momentarily overcome by the intensity of the energy but quickly recovered and began to thrust, much to Raygan's delight. Data had experienced numerous electrical charges in his career in Starfleet, but none had been pleasurable. Many had robbed him of his cognitive functions for a time, but this one only robbed him of his ability to do anything but pound his wife harder. Every part of Data’s body sang with the affect of their bond. The more he felt, the more he wanted to share with Raygan. Shocked and enthralled by all encompassing feelings of being with Raygan, Data found himself close to the edge far sooner than he would have believed possible. Just as he increased his speed, he heard Raygan shout his name as she came again. With an almost animal growl, Data thrust into her again, cumming like thunder himself. “Wow,” Raygan sighed, once Data had stopped thrusting. “I can’t believe how much better it keeps getting between us.” Data nodded his agreement. “Sleep now, my beloved. You are near exhaustion,” he told her firmly. “Yes, my husband,” she said with a submissive nod, but the fire was still in her eyes. Data pulled Raygan as close as possible, kissing her temple before gently running his fingers through her hair. Raygan fell asleep quickly. Data had never seen a more content look on his beautiful wife's face. He smiled and activated his dream program.
It was 0800 when Data’s internal chronometer indicated it was time to wake up. Sitting up in his bed, his eyes quickly focused on the portrait hanging on the wall across from him. He smiled slightly at the image before him and at the memory it represented. He found it difficult to believe that thirty years had passed since he had painted that portrait of Raygan and himself. So much had happened since that day on the Farragut. Data was brought out of his musings when the door to the bedroom slid open. “Data, you need to start getting ready. My parents will be waiting for us to beam down soon and we’re supposed to meet Lore and Sasha in less than an hour.” Raygan stood at the foot of the bed, shaking her head but smiling. Data rose from the bed and made a quick move towards his wife, trapping her in his arms. Pulling her close, he kissed her passionately. “We don’t have time for what you have in mind,” Raygan teased. “I know but you cannot blame me for trying,” Data teased back as he headed for the shower. He liked the fact that he and Raygan still felt that incredible need to be with each other. Their bond seemed to get stronger, not weaker, with each passing year. When he had finished dressing, Data joined Raygan on the couch. “I wish Noonien could be here,” Raygan sighed as she snuggled into Data’s embrace. “As do I.” Data squeezed his wife’s shoulder as he spoke. “However, as Noonien has just received his new command, he cannot leave the Trudeau at this time.” “I know,” Raygan sighed again. “I’m so proud of him,” she smiled. “And so happy Starfleet didn’t make him wait as long as you did to become a captain.” Data could not help but smile. The day he had received his first command was the highlight of his career. Now, with his son’s promotion, there were two android captains serving in Starfleet. And today, two more Soongs – their daughter, Nalla and their nephew, Arik - would be joining the ranks of Starfleet officers with their graduation from the Academy. “It is time to go,” Data grinned as he stood and pulled at his wife’s hand. He felt so content. Before he had met Raygan, Data had been certain he would always be alone. There were still times when he thought he would wake up and all of this would have been an elaborate dream. But this was not a dream. It was real. This was his life and he was determined his door to happiness would always remain open. When Data awoke the next morning he was alone. He looked around his quarters almost disappointed, trying to shake off the powerful affects of the vivid dream he had just had. They had been getting more involved of late and Data found it a most intriguing trend. He got out of bed and made his way to a cabinet across the room. He stared at the emotion chip in its case for a few moments until Spot interrupted his thoughts by rubbing on his leg. He was no longer staring at it, but his thoughts still centered on his emotion chip and the possibilities. Data made his way to the bridge, reviewing the tasks he had for the day. He found he was looking forward to greeting the new head of Stellar Sciences when she arrived from the USS Goddard although he was uncertain as to why. ~ Lieutenant Commander Raygan Silver, ~ Data thought as he reviewed the information he had stored about her in his memory. ~ Impressive woman. ~ He recalled his dream had oddly chosen to include her, but shrugged this off. It was not possible - she would not... Data and Commander Riker were waiting to greet their newest crewmate. As she stepped off the transporter pad, Commander Riker moved towards her. "Welcome aboard, Commander Silver. I'm Commander William Riker, the ship's first officer and this is Lieutenant Commander Data, our second officer and head of Operations." He extended his hand and Raygan accepted his firm handshake. "Thank you, sir. It’s a pleasure to meet you both. I am very happy and excited to be here," she said as she now shook Data's hand. "Now you'll have to excuse me as I have to meet with Captain Picard. Commander Data will show you to your quarters and will take you to Stellar Sciences for a quick tour. There is a briefing in the observation lounge at 1500 you need to attend." Data turned to Commander Silver, "Please accept my congratulations not only on your transfer but for your promotion as well. I am familiar with your personnel file and they were well deserved." "Thank you, Commander. That is very kind of you to say." "My statement is not motivated by kindness, it is a factual observation. However, I suppose it could be considered a compliment. But I assure you, it was not baseless flattery," Data said, half talking to himself. He looked over at Commander Silver. He had been mildly surprised her manner was so similar to how she had acted in his dream, and while their conversation had progressed as he remembered it - no, it would not be the same. Something would be different, after all, he was not precognitive. He was just an android. Data raised a hand towards the door and inclined his head. "Shall we?" he asked leading the way out. Data related information to Commander Silver regarding her quarters and Stellar Sciences. Data found he was intrigued by his new crewmate's red hair and shimmering green eyes. If any male were asked to describe her, he was certain the word beautiful would be included in the description. They entered the turbolift and proceeded to deck two. When they reached room 3661, Data turned to Commander Silver, "I hope you do not mind that your quarters are not in the same area as the other senior officers however there were no suitable quarters available for a department head." Raygan made her way to the couch, sat down and laughed, "Do all quarters come with their own pets?" Data saw his pet sitting next to her. "Spot! I must apologize for Spot's invasion of your quarters." He picked up the cat. "She has escaped from my quarters on a number of occasions. Please excuse me for a moment while I return her to my quarters." Data stepped out of the room with Spot in his arms. Commander Silver’s laugh and her bright smile had affected him. He still was not sure what to make of his dream and the reality of this woman, but he could not deny a certain level of anticipation. Lifting Spot to eye level, he spoke gently to her. "Spot, normally I would chastise you for leaving our quarters however, as I am greatly intrigued by our new neighbor, I hope you will find your way to her quarters again." Spot meowed in reply and, satisfied, Data found himself looking forward to his return to Commander Silver’s quarters. Perhaps this could be the beginning of a promising friendship. Data certainly hoped so. |
