"On the Holodeck" by marky (marky9"@hotmail.com ). This story features the holodeck technology found in Star Trek, but there are absolutely no references to Star Fleet, Vulcan's, Klingons, or anything else Star Trek related. Which reminds me, do you know why the star ship Enterprise is similar to a piece of toilet paper? Give up? It's because they both go around Uranus looking for Klingons. {get it? Your anus - cling-ons?} A joke like that can do a lot to make the rest of the review seem really good by contrast. Jessie has been depressed since the recent death of his wife Demi. His boss has told him to take a month off, and he has decided to run an immersive holodeck program, to try to get away from it all". As you can easily imagine, the computer generates a hologram version of Demi. However, holo-Demi lacks personality. Jessie eventually instructs the program to enrich Demi, first by incorporating 50 hours of home video and then by merging some adult videos at the end. You can well imagine what happens next. He decides to save the program for future use. Although it has some grammatical blunders, this story is generally well written. Just a little predictable.
