"Angel of Mercy" by Unknown Author. Guest review by Sandman
(sandman@bitsmart.com).

"Angel of Mercy" is about a doctor and a nurse who after pulling a double
shift together go back to her place engage in some very well described oral
sex and just generally fuck like bunnies for four pages or so. On the first
read it appeared to be my sort of story in that the characters were introduced
nicely before hopping into bed together, but for some reason this one just
missed it's mark with me. I should stress the "with me" part -- I suspect
many, many people will enjoy this story far more than my scores would
indicate.

In Athena I knock off a point for a few mangled words and for one sentence
with two buts in it (but if they were sexual butts this would not be a
problem, but I think that a sentence with two buts just doesn't work very well
-- see?). The story also contains no dialog and I think the story would have
worked better for me on a personal level if it did. Other than those faults
however the story is a very easy read. Most people will have no problems
whatsoever following the story flow.

In Venus I'm knocking off a point for exactly two problems that had me
scratching my head and saying, "Huh?". First problem -- does a doctor in the
midst of trying to save an eighty-six year old man in cardiac arrest really
notice that his nurse isn't wearing panties? Second problem -- this is kinda
a good news bad news problem -- in the throws of anal sex we suddenly learn
about the "B Spot".

"I was concerned that her clitoris would get too sensitive for me to continue
licking it and so I concentrated on that special sensitive area where the
Bartholin ducts run up to the clitoris. I call it the B spot and not many
people know how important it is between orgasms if the clitoris is
sensitive."

This was something new to me and I set the story aside and searched my on-line
references to research the validity of this. Surprise! It's valid (though
not every woman responds to it). So I learn something new. I'm glad to know
it, and I'm certainly going to see if it works at the first opportunity I get.
The trouble is, it happened in the middle of a pretty hot sex scene. A sex
scene is about feeling and emotion, throwing an intellectual anatomy lesson in
the midst of this is like asking an Olympic Athlete who just got a gold medal
how they feel about a new development in quantum physics.

And finally we come to appeal. I said before that most people will like this
story much more than my scores would indicate. Here the appeal is just a
little off because to me there's never been anything remotely sexual about
doctors or nurses. Every time I see either they're either trying to stick a
needle in me, trying to get me to drink some bitter concoction, or I'm so
bloody sick I really don't care. I think this is called an avoidance
reaction.

The fact that the scores are relatively high despite my prejudices in this
area should indicate that this story is probably worth looking up.
