"Pussy Show" by Emerson Laken Palmer (comments to: SXJAMES@AOL.COM). Guest Review by R'khaan This is really two stories in one. It begins with a dialog of what life is like working in a traveling carnival and goes into some detail of how certain games are rigged in favor of the house - after reading this part of the story, you may never play the games at a carnival again! After taking some time to set the stage, the author gets to the main attraction of the first part of this story, the "pussy show," the carnival equivalent of peep shows found in the larger cities. The second part of this story finds our narrator, Jack, being rousted by a local cop, known as Sharky. Sharky corners Jack and basically tells him he's going to bust everyone in the carnival if he doesn't put on a private "pussy show" for him. The deal here is if Jack fucks his sister, Cookie (who Sharky saw at the pussy show), he'll let everyone go - and pay him $500. Cookie, upon being told of the situation, objects but Jack convinces her they're between a rock and a hard place. Jack and Cookie meet Sharky in a local motel room where, after a few beers and a joint, they get it on, much to Sharky's eventual delight. After Jack fills Cookie with his seed, Sharky fulfills his end of the bargain, releasing the carnival folks from jail and paying up the $500, which Jack promptly tells him to keep. This story would have gotten higher technical marks had it not been for the numerous spelling and punctuation errors; this reviewer assumes the bad grammar was intentional, as it lends to the flavor of the story.
