"But..." by Mark Aster (MyFrThAl@aol.com). The title refers to the second- shortest sentence in this story. Since this story is entirely a dialogue between two people, this sentence is also the second-shortest paragraph. Actually, it's tied for second - with "And..." and "God!" The shortest sentence/paragraph is "Oh!" We can only surmise that the man in this story is Our Hero from the Allen Sisters saga, but that assumption appears to be accurate. We don't know who the female is - just a friend who thinks it may be wrong to make hay while the cat's away. But.... Ratings for "But..."
