"Mystery Lady" by Rod Stiffener (rodsti@hotmail.com). Guest review by Dave Myers. There haven't been all that many mutual masturbation stories in this group. It's really an under-exploited arena. While the writing and plotting may not be overly ambitious in this encounter scene, there are no fatal flaws either. Synopsis: In a coed fitting room (you don't see that every day, do you!) a peeper gets rewarded. I know what you're thinking. Cute, but not flashy. Short, without much development. And you're mostly correct. However, good encounter-type stories need little more. The author does well taking this simple idea and running with it. Hopefully, this is just a warm up piece. It seems the author has potential which is not fully explored in this short take. Even within the confines of the very short story (it's under 200 lines), there could have been more tension created, more senses explored, and less of a see-thru plot. A couple of other quick details: Don't let the title fool you. It's not as boring as "Mystery Lady" might imply. And lastly, there are a couple of British-isms and British spellings which always seem to bother one or two people out there for some reason. Rating: 7 |
