By showing myself more affection and offering myself more support than anyone else did? Did I sin against her? By teaching her that a clumsy, awkward girl in glasses could feel good about herself? Did I sin against him? By leading him down a path that he himself had paved and onto which he invited me to walk? Did I sin against them? By granting them too much access to my private and intimate self in a public and open way? Did I sin against my family? Don't talk to me about my family. The family serially took me in and then turned me out      While using me as a means to an end      After regarding me as an undesirable end           And then ending me. I accept no sin in the eyes of my family. Did I sin against the law? Don't talk to me about the law. The law that punished me for making my own way in the world      While empowering my parents to abandon me      And allowing my foster parents to destroy me           And then create me. I recognize no sin in the eyes of the law. Did I sin against God? Don't talk to me about God. The god who never cared about a little blonde orphan girl      Or what her body demanded of her      Or what her her emotions required of her           Until she had dirty sex. I know no sin in the eyes of God. They tell me I am a sinner But they never tell me whom I sin against
