The Jimmy Bot (an automated reviewer) had this to say in a recent review:
This short story scores extremely low on the filth count. Notice and ASSM appear. You were expecting Romeo and Juliet? The story is all about getting cock. The things you find on the 'Net.
"Alexis's new Flash story, "Forward and Backward in White with Buckles", is a palindrome, which is to say that it reads the same forward and backward. (Not by paragraph, this time, the way Scipio's was a few months back, but by sentence.) A horribly tricky thing to write effectively, but Alexis pulls it off as beautifully and effortlessly as if she simply sat down and doodled the thing on the tablecloth.
"But don't look so hard at the technique that you miss the content. There is a dark, sexy, beating heart to this flash, told as strongly and effectively as if she were not also juggling with two restrictions: palindrome and 300-word Flash."
There's the well-known cliché about the vacuum cleaner salesman and the lonely lady customer. There's the well-known cliché about the single woman and her best friend's son, and there's the well-known cliché about the sexually-frustrated older gal and the handsome young teen. Now Elizabeth finds out happens when all three scenes meet in one young woman and one younger man.
Her smooth-talking, easy-smiling husband keeps getting better looking the older he gets. But he wouldn’t betray her. Not after all they’d been through together. Would he?
