I've had a few close calls with the police myself, while hanging out under a boardwalk sticking my fingers through the cracks to be stepped on (hoping mostly for women). You can look up through the cracks and see who's stepping on you. Unfortunately some people find this disturbing (I don't see why, it doesn't hurt them) and will go and find some cop to complain to. I've never gotten in trouble, just basicly told to "move along". It's the time before you're "ratted out" that is the best. Often a small crowd gathers around, with people daring other people to step on the fingers. If a guy tries (doesn't happen too often) I just pull my fingers back out. If a girl steps on them, I leave them right there! This brings laughter from the people who are watching and usually inspires the girl doing the stepping to stomp, twist, and just basicly go sadistic on you. This only happens once in a while, but when it does, WOW! I've only had to pull my fingers back from a girl stomping once, she managed to force my middle finger to bend backwards (its a narrow gap in the planks and my finger only sticks out to about the first knuckle) and made my knuckle "snap" and she stood on it full weight and basicly made my fingernail lay down on the plank. She did it on purpose, but when she heard the snap she shrieked and started laughing along with her friend and then they quickly left, probrably thinking they broke my finger. It scared the hell out of me, how would I explain this one to the wife? Well, my finger wasn't broken, it didn't even hurt that much, but it was sore for a while. Anyhow, I keep going back to this spot year after year, and always come out of it with a good experience, so to hell with the police and the people who rat you out, I think I may try burying myself on the beach this year too!
