Great story! Thanks for telling it, and no, it wasn't too lengthy! I'd like to hear MORE-- the more details, the better.
You mentioned your bleeding finger. It triggered a memory from about 12-15 years ago.
I've had my fingers stepped on many times, but the most painful time was once, in Southern California, when my wife's cousin talked me into going deep-sea fishing with him. So reluctantly, after much arm-twisting on his part, I agreed to go. The last thing I cared about seeing while visiting sunny Southern California was a stinky old boat with 200 old geezers and other fishing fanatics shoving me all over a boat for a day.
So we're there at the dock, at some god-awful hour of the morning, get on the boat, and sure enough, men, men, men everwhere. The one woman I saw was old and had 3 teeth.
But then, about 8 hours later as we're finally making our way back to the pier, I spotted them. Two teenage girls and a teenage guy. Where had they been all day??? The girls were HOT-- wearing short shorts, halter tops, and white Vans deck shoes (which I'm not usually crazy about, but they looked great on these ladies). They were tan, and blonde, about 5'6" each, and maybe 120 lbs.
They were leaning on a rail, watching the sunset. I noticed a free spot on the deck behind them. I looked around and saw other folks sitting on the ground, so assured I wouldn't look out of place, I sat down and leaned against a piece of machinery. The deck of the boat was some type of metal grating, with holes in it (for water drainage, I suppose)and had little teethlike ridges in it (for better footing, I assume). I was sitting sideways, facing the back of the boat, with my legs crossed. The boat ride was a little rough, so I casually placed my hands on the deck to either side of me, steadying myself.
The pinky of my right hand was about 2 inches from the closest girl's feet. I nonchalantly looked around to make sure no one was watching, then slowly stretched out my fingers so my little finger was touching the back of her heel. They were all laughing and talking teenage talk, and didn't notice me.
Then the guy looked down over the rail, seeing something in the water, and the girls went up on tiptoe. I immediately glanced down at the girl's soles. Her shoe had no tread at all, smooth as silk-- but I knew immediately it would hurt like hell if she were to crush my finger into that toothy deck grating. Even as I was thinking that she took about a two inch step backward (still on tiptoe) and then lowered herself quickly flat on my finger.
It hurt like the dickens! There were ropes and cords strewn all along the deck, so she probably didn't even consider that she could be standing on a finger.
She laughed, and shifted her weight from foot to foot. Then she did something I'll never forget. She lifted one foot and placed the sole of her shoe against the thigh of her other leg--the leg standing now fullweight on my finger. Instantly, pain shot from my finger and all through my hand. My finger was throbbing. Hard. (And so was I.) Her shoe wobbled unsteadily on my finger under all her weight.
She probably stood there only about 30 seconds, but to me it seems at least 5 minutes. Then, with a little inaudible pop, my skin suddenly broke. I could feel the puncture. It stung. Her weight had finally shoved my finger so hard down into the grating that it broke the skin. As soon as she put down her other foot and shifted all her weight to that one, I quickly pulled up my finger and looked at it.
There was a small blood smear on the grating where my finger had been, and the whole bottom of the finger had very deep, purplish grating prints.
I turned around, and leaned my back against the boat, sucking the tip of my bleeding finger.
And this is where truth is stranger than fiction--to this day I cannot believe she actually did this. As I was sitting there, now sitting directly behind them, facing the backs of their knees, the same girl who'd crushed my finger reached back (I swear this really happened) with the sole of her shoe and began tapping it against my upper chest (almost grazing my chin with the heel of her shoe), trying to find some footing.
I almost came all over myself. I was confused (WHAT is she doing??!!) and extremely turned on (PLEASE let you foot find my face or my c--k and press against that, PLEEEEASE!!). And finding something other than wall, she turned around quickly, saw her foot dangling around my face, and began to apologize all over herself. She said she saw my white shirt out of her peripheral vision and thought it was the side of the boat. She kept saying she was sorry while her friends laughed at her obvious embarrassment.
I assured her it was no problem. The next 10 minutes I just sat there, my heart pounding in my head, sucking my bleeding finger.
So many times since then I've fantasized about what would have happened if she had put her foot against my chest (or face) and just held it there, believing she'd found the wall of the boat. What would I have done? Had a heart attack? c-- on myself? Or out of fear called her attention to the mistake?
