One time, while going through a checkout line at a local department store, I found myself behind a good-looking woman, probrably in her late thirty's. She was wearing heels, navy blue, with about a three inch heel. I crouched down behind her as if I were looking at the gum and candy in the rack near the checkout. Sure enough, while she waited for the cashier to ring up the lady in front of her, I noticed her shift her weight (she looked to be at least 180 lbs.) off one foot to the other. I noticed a gap between her heel and the floor, so I slipped my fingers under her. Soon she put a little weight back on the shoe my finger was under, and she didn't notice the difference in height. After a few seconds she then shifted her weight to the heel my finger was under! Lucky for me it wasn't on my finger nail, or I think it would have mashed it. She stood there for 20 or 30 seconds, and the pain was almost un-bearable. I bit my lip and didn't say a word. She finaly noticed she was on "uneven ground" on a floor that was supposed to be flat, and she looked down to see what she was stepping on. She saw my hand, stepped off. She said "Oh my god! I've been stepping on that poor man's hand with my heel! He diddn't say a thing! I'm so sorry!" "That's ok" I said "my fault." "Why didn't you say something?" I just shrugged. She laughed it off, and it was over. My best advise is to look for crowds, places where people are drinking, and places where the ground is uneven and your hand can easily be mistaken for normal stuff to be stepped on.
