I remember in high school, I was dating a girl who wore high heels for me. In the fall,
the frist dance of the year, she was wearing my favorite sandals. The were brown with one
strap across her toes, about an inch wide in the middle and an inch and a half on the
sides, and a high ankle strap. Since this was a fall dance, kind of like a harvest dance,
there was some indian corn used as decorations. If you have not seen indian corn, it's not
very good for eating but comes in a number of colors, yellows, and reds, and browns. The
kernels are very firm. Well, we were standing around and someone, I forget who, noticed
some of the kernels on the floor. They tried crushing one with their shoes, flats with no
heel. They were not getting any where. My girlfriend walked up to it and tried with her
sole and was also getting no where. I then asker her to try with just the heel. She
positioned the heel over the kernel and started to put some weight on it. Almost as soon
as any of her weight was on the heel, the kernel exploded. She then finished it off by
putting all her weight on that one shoe and heel. The best part about it is that the heel
tip on these shoes had an exposed nail and the nail was recessed deeper than the outter
edge of the tip, so all the force on the heel was focused around the edge. Kind of like
BZHeels. I remember as she walked away, noticing how obliterated and flat the kernel was.
