In the late 1950s/early 60s, there was an episode on the old Alfred Hitchcock weekly T.V. series that would have interested you (if you were born then). A woman is driving her car and in the passenger seat is her drunk, abusive husband. They have a flat tire on this stretch of lonely road, so she stops (her husband cursing her for her "stupidity" for having the flat, etc.), and he swears and cusses as he changes the tire (remember women were too "delicate" to do such things back then). He's wearing a white shirt and tie, and his wife has on a dress with a wide skirt, nylons, and white, high-heeled sandals. In fact, you can see her heels sink into the soft ground as she stands next to the car changing the tire. Her husband threatens to kill her if she ever does such a "stupid" thing again. So, after the tire is changed and fed up with his abuse, she picks up the tire iron and cracks him across the head with it. He falls behind the car unconscious. Then she gets into the car and backs it over him. Next, she puts it into forward gear, and guns the engine, ripping across him again before she speeds off.
