secret of life
o’er n ‘gain it vexes me :
“yield that dream admit a new”
“shut that door a next fly ope”
upshot : downcast dreams
and tethered doors
as dash these dreams in periled lands
endures this ardent love sublime
abiding rapture nonetheless
she never will be mine
dejected love does breach my heart
yet desolation it defies
careworn paradox divine :
