"Girl Meets Girl Meets Boy" by Mary Anne Mohanraj (moh2@midway.uchicago.edu). This is the same old story. You've heard it a thousand times. They meet. They fall in love. They fall apart. They come together. They live happily ever after. The end. Only with a twist this time.

The two girls meet first and have a happy life together. Then they take in the boy. It's non-sexual at first; but then one of the girls falls in love with him, and on the very night that he falls in love with the other girl, the first girl gets raped and nearly dies. How can anyone make sense out of this arrangement? They meet. They fall in love. They fall apart. They come together. They live happily ever after. The end.

As so often happens with this author, the sex lies far away in the background, but at the same time it is the most important part of the story.
