The Story (361 words)
Monday, 3rd September 2001.
Dear diary I think I will call you Jesica, because a diary really shud
have a name and that will be your's. My mum and dad got you for me as a
present cos its the first day of my new school (Effingham High. Luke got
one to. Hes my twin brother.
I think I will tell you all of my secrets. you wont tell anyone will
you Jesica?
But first I will tell you about school today. I got up really early and
put on my school uniform, which is a white blouse and a school tie with a
grey pleated skirt and white knee socks. When I came down to breakfast
uncle Jeff and Aunty Jean were there (their not really my uncle and my
aunt. Their friends of my dad .
Uncle Jeff picked me up and sat me on his lap and told me I looked
really pretty. But I think he must have had some keys in his pocket, cos
it felt all hard and no matter how much I wriggled about I couldn't get
comfortable.
I thort uncle Jeff would get tired of me squirming around in his lap
like that but he never told me to get off.
After that he said I was so pretty I deserved a pound for some sweets.
but Aunty Jean didnt like that and said he had to give a pound to Luke as
well.
When I got to school I was told I was in a class with Amy and Sam from
my primary school and some boys and a load of other kids Ive never seen
before. Our teacher is Mr Michaels. Hes really nice and funny. And he
teaches PE so hes really fit. Sam says she really fancies him and she
wants to do it with him!
When I got home in the evening mum gave a lecture about how I mustnt
except presents from uncle Jeff cos it just encouriges him. I said Luke
got a pound to. She said thats not the point he didnt have to do anything
to get his pound.
I think thats really unfair Jesica!
