These flowers bloom prolifically at the bottom of my garden deep in one of the northern provinces of the Philippine Islands. They strongly resemble an unhooded clitoris nestling proudly between a pair of unfurled labia majora. There is no trace of inner labia. The Latin name of the vines that produce these blooms is Clitoria Ternatea but at home they are simply known as Samsamping.
When I was 28 I graduated from law school and was invited to join a society that would assure me advancement in my chosen profession. Membership of the society required me to make a big sacrifice: the surgical removal of my clitoral hood and inner labia. I discovered that my sex-life improved (as well as my business) after I was inducted into the society and I am glad I had the courage to accept the terms of entry. The flowers are a constant reminder that I chose to accept membership.
The following pages outline my progress as a member of the society. Please feel free to contact me if you have any constructive comments.
