Ayumi (c) Chapter Four By Fiction Writer #13 (rom, nosex, paranormal, voy, exhib, teen, preteen) "Well, aren't you going to say anything?" Ayumi asked as she stared up at me expectantly. What could I say? I didn't want to hurt her feelings, but I had nothing to respond with. Here's this little girl who comes out of nowhere, tells me that the thing I accidentally killed out front was a demon, and then tells me that she's not even human herself. To tell the truth, I knew that she was different somehow, but she certainly didn't look like anything other than human. "You hate me, don't you," she whimpered. "What? No. No, I don't hate you," I stumbled. "Then why won't you say anything?" "I don't know. It's just that... well... you look human to me. You're a little weird and I think you can hypnotize me sometimes, not to mention the disappearing chain thing... but you look normal to me." "That's just it." She peered at me with her big brown eyes. "You shouldn't even be able to see me right now." "What do you mean?" "I'm like the chain... I mean... um... you shouldn't be able to see me right now. I should be hidden. No one can see me. Well, not humans anyway; At least not the ones who can't use magic. You said you aren't a wizard, though, so I don't know why you can see me." Ayumi rattled on with her conversation with herself, leaving me even more confused. "Wait, wait, wait; Hold on a second, Ayumi," I interrupted. "You said you weren't human, right?" She nodded her head in agreement. "Then what are you exactly?" She smiled. "I'm a dream." "What?" "I'm a dream," she repeated, grinning from ear to ear. "A figment, a fantasy; somebody thought me up and then I came to life." I gave her a disbelieving smirk. "Yeah, sure you are." "No, really, I am! They call me a... oh, what was that word that they used?" She scratched her head. "Oh, yeah, I'm an Etherlithe. It means someone born of the Ether; at least that's what my first Master told me." "An Etherlithe, huh?" I shook my head and laughed. "Someone dreamed you up and then you were born." "Yup," she replied. I didn't believe her of course, but I decided to play along. "Do you know who this person was? The one who made you?" She shook her head. "My first Master found me. She said she was waiting for me to come. She said that I was plucked out of a dream and given life from the Ether that flows all around us." She made a grand sweeping gesture around the room. "I'm made from the same stuff as magic, the life force that binds everyone and everything together." "The Force, huh?" I let a chuckle slip out. "Was your Master named Yoda by any chance?" "Who?" she asked very seriously. "Yoda, he's a Jedi Master." I tried desperately to hold back my laughter. "He knows all about the Force." Her eyes got big as saucers. "So you do know a powerful wizard. Why didn't you say so before?" I couldn't stop myself, I just fell down laughing. I laughed so hard it hurt. "What's so funny?" she asked, and that just made me laugh even harder. "You're making fun of me, aren't you?" I tried to talk but I just couldn't. She smiled at me at first, and then her face took an angry turn. "Stop it! It's not funny." "Yes... Ha! Ha! Ha! Yes it is!! It's freakin' hilarious! HA! HA! HA!" I rolled on the ground holding my sides and trying to get myself back in control, but every time I tried I got an image of Yoda playing paddy-cake with Ayumi. "You're a big meany!" she growled at me. "Stop making fun of me or else!" "Or else what?" I taunted from the floor. "You'll use the force? Ha! Ha! Ha!" "No! I can't use magic to hurt my Master..." she snarled as I continued laughing, "... but I can do this!" I was slow to react, and she was quick as lightning. Her tiny foot swung out with speed and a force to be reckoned with. Before I knew what was happening I was doubled over with pain, my nuts crushed and aching. "Ahhhhhh! Oh you... uhhh... you... you... fucking little bitch! Oh, fuck!" The pain was blinding, tears poured from my eyes. With one hand holding my privates, I lunged out with my other in an attempt to grab her leg and pull her down. "Not so funny now, are you?" she laughed as she skirted my flailing arm. "Oh fuck, that hurtsss," I moaned while giving up my futile attempt to capture her. "Why'd the fuck did you do that?" Still giggling she squatted down in front of me, just out of reach. "I asked you to stop, but you didn't." All of her weight rested on the balls of her feet, her bum resting on her heels, her chest nearly touching her bent knees. She balanced herself by placing her hands on each of her knees as she peered down at me, a devilish smirk on her face. "Next time I'll do it harder." I stared back at her with bleary eyes. "I was just joking," I moaned. "You hurt my feelings, so I hurt your thingies. Now you'll remember that I don't like being made fun of." "I think you really hurt me bad." The pain had changed from blinding to nauseating. "Oh, get over it, you big baby. I didn't kick you that hard." "You shouldn't kick guys there, you could damage them, they're sensitive." I know I sounded like a crybaby, but it really did fucking hurt. "I know. That's why I hit you there," she smiled. "Do you want me to make it not hurt anymore?" I had forgotten that she could do that. "Yeah, oh, yeah, could you?" "Nope," she smiled wickedly. "You don't believe that I'm a dream, so I can't help you." "Oh, come on!" I begged. "Please, make it stop, I... I believe you, okay?" "You promise not to make fun of me anymore?" I would have promised anything to her at that point. Every time I breathed it felt like my balls were up in my throat. "Yes! Yes! Just please, make it stop." "Okay then, apology accepted." Her smile changed to a look of concentration. Immediately the pain in my groin began to fade away. As the pain left me I suddenly found myself staring directly at her pussy. Her knees had parted a bit as she began to work her healing magic, and with the pain no longer distracting me my other urges returned. My shorts began to feel tighter as my dick slowly began to fill with blood, throbbing now with desire and not aching in the least. I could feel my mouth begin to water as I stared at her little girl slit. For some reason I got the sudden urge to lick her, to taste her. If I hadn't been such a chicken shit, I might have, but my heart was pounding and my brain was screaming for me to look away before she caught me. I was so lost in my lustful delirium that I hadn't even noticed that her thighs had opened even wider once she'd begun. Now her knees were as far apart as she could stretch them. The slit of her cunny opened before my ogling eyes, the glistening pink of her insides exposed. Unconsciously I licked my lips, my mind warring with my lust. I tried to imagine what she would taste like down there, what it would feel like if I touched her privates. I started breathing heavily, as if I had just run around the block a few times. Sweat formed on my brow and dripped into my eyes, causing me to blink a few times. During one of those rapid blinks, I caught her smiling down at me, her eyes open. "I... I'm sorry I... I didn't mean to..." I stammered, and turned away, my face burning red. "I like that you like looking at me down there," she purred. "It makes me feel all tingly inside." "I... I shouldn't though." I sat up with my back to her. I just couldn't bring myself to look in her eyes, nor did I want her to see the boner tenting my shorts. "It's not right. I shouldn't do that." I felt her move up behind me, her hand rested on my shoulder, then she spoke softly into my ear causing me to shudder. "Justin, you can do anything you want with me. You're my Master." Her words sent my dirty mind reeling with possibilities. I closed my eyes and let out a low moan as images of Ayumi's naked little body writhing around on my cock raced through my brain. It was so wrong... and yet? POP! CRACKLE... Shhhhhhh... The sudden noise and burst of light filled the living room and scared the shit out of both of us. She nearly leapt right over me in an attempt to escape what ever it was, and I dove for cover. The end result was that she landed squarely on the back of my head, driving my face into the carpet, nearly breaking my nose. "JUSTIN!" she screamed over the loud hissing, "WHAT IS IT?" "AYUMI, GET OFF OF MY HEAD!" I yelled into the carpet as she awkwardly slid over me and crawled back to her hiding space behind the Lazy-Boy. Finally able to move again I sat up and looked around the room for what was making all the racket. Spotting our adversary, I laughed. "WHAT IS IT? IS IT THEM? IS IT THEM?" she cried out. "No. It's okay, you can come out." I crawled over to the TV and turned down the volume. Gray and white snow danced on the big screen as the hissing noise of static was lowered to a less abusive level. "The power's back on. It's just the TV; you must have turned the channel off of the one for the cable." "The picture box?" she asked while peeking over the back of the chair, ready to hide again in an instant if I was lying to her. "Yeah, come on out, it's safe," I said while readjusting the knobs to the proper positions to receive the cable signal. Ayumi crawled over and hid behind my back as I worked, eyeing the box warily. The picture was still all crazy, even after I dialed in the correct channel. "Is it supposed to be all squiggly like that?" she asked over my shoulder. "No," I responded. "It's was like this earlier too." I could see that the news was on, at least it looked like the news, but it was the wrong time of day for it so I wasn't sure until I turned the volume back up again. "... outages continue to wreak havoc around most of the country as local power companies try desperately to save what is left of the electrical grid. FEMA director, David Paulison, has released a statement advising everyone to remain calm and stay home during this crisis, which he assures, will only be temporary." The blurry image switched from the man behind a desk to another man standing in front of a podium loaded with microphones. "As we understand it, the only way to protect the remaining transformers from overloading is to shut them down until the solar storm passes. This will leave us in the dark until that time, which all of my advisors tell me should only be a day, possibly two. We need to remain calm and wait this out. Please, only leave your home if it's a life or death situation." Back to the guy behind his desk. "The National Guard has been activated and assigned to protect major cities across the U.S." A shot of New York City as soldiers leap out of the back of a military truck and begin to take up positions on street corners. "However, the majority of the Guard is currently serving active duty in the Middle East leaving their numbers are far fewer than FEMA strategist planned for." "All air traffic has been grounded by the FAA, but not before the first casualties of this natural disaster were claimed. Forty-three planes and airliners travelling over northern Canada, Russia, the North Atlantic and Alaska have crashed, all within moments of each other. Initial reports believed the crashes to be the work of terrorist, but now we know that, as the initial wave of electromagnetic particles bombarded the upper atmosphere, their electrical systems were fatally damaged, causing the planes to lose power, navigation, and communications. The whereabouts of several other flights are currently unknown, but officials are optimistic that their pilots were able to safely land but have as of yet been unable to contact them." Images of burning debris scattered across a muddy field, a blackened scar cut through a lush green forest, glittering shards of aluminum floating on a deep blue sea. "That looks pretty," Ayumi whispered from behind me, "All shimmery on the water." "No Ayumi," I whispered back while trying to listen, "people died in those plane crashes. Something bad is happening." "... the NTSB has ordered Amtrak to suspend all rail service after several trains nearly derailed at switching stations earlier today. "There are unconfirmed reports of looting in Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, and Philadelphia. Cell phone service is completely down for all of the major providers. Satellite communications have also been disrupted. "News from the rest of the world is sketchy at best, but it now appears that Asia, Australia, Africa, and most of Europe are in a complete blackout. Reports out of Canada are that they are in the same boat as we are, and with the coming nightfall, they are urging their citizens to remain calm and indoors. "We will remain on the air for as long as we have power here in the station. Although we have no idea if any of our viewers can see this, we have a duty to get this information out. Should you lose power in your area, you can tune in your local news channel on a portable radio to keep informed and up to date with this growing crisis." The man behind the desk reached off camera and returned holding a sheet of paper. He remained silent for a moment as he read to himself and then turned back to face the camera. "We have just received a statement from NASA that contradicts what the head of FEMA reported earlier. According to them we have yet to see the worst effects of this unprecedented solar storm, which could last for up to a week or longer. Once the storm passes, they warn, it could be months or even years before the damage done to the electrical grid is repaired. During the storm and for a few days after, navigational devices should not be relied upon. They also warn that the storm will affect all electrical systems, including those of automobiles. "We have already seen the effect of this storm on traffic in our area." The camera switches to a shot of the highway leading into downtown Highland City, a sea of cars stretching away into infinity. "Gridlock from here to all points of the compass as stalled cars are abandoned where they stopped. Those vehicles still running have no road left to drive on. If you are watching at home, please, stay there. "Making matters worse during this crisis is the weather. Although our meteorological equipment has been out of commission since last night, predictions for this coming week indicated that much of the country, including the Highland metro area, would be in the middle of a heat wave of ninety degree plus temperatures that could continue for the next ten days. "With blackouts now a certainty, we urge you to fill your bathtubs with fresh water for drinking now, before it's too late. If the water in your area is no longer working, do not drink it if it has not been treated. Water must be boiled at least ten minutes plus one minute for every thousand feet above sea level you are. Allow the water to cool and settle before drinking. Plain bleach can be used as a purifier, but be sure to follow the mixture of one drop of bleach per gallon of water. Wait at least fifteen to twenty minutes before drinking, and do not pour the water, scoop it out. Pouring your water will allow settled particles to once again mix with your clean water. In an emergency, the water in the tank of your toilet can also be safely used for drinking." I couldn't believe what I was seeing on the screen in front of me. It was like a movie, a bad summer blockbuster full of exciting special effects but devoid of plot. It reminded me of September eleventh. Not the images, but the feeling. Was this a bad dream? Is it a joke? This can't be real, stuff like this doesn't happen in real life. I had been in school that day. I remember that morning because it was such a beautiful day. I wanted to cut class, go and have some fun. The summer had been so hot and nasty that I had spent most of it indoors, that day was too nice to waste in school. I was younger then, still afraid of getting caught, getting in trouble with my mom and dad, or else I would have been gone by the time it happened. I remember I was staring out the window, watching two birds, robins I think, pecking at the ground as my teacher continued her math lesson from the day before. There was a scream from down the hall that suddenly drew everyone's attention. Nothing new, sometimes the younger kids got a little riled up after gym class, but this time it was followed by the sounds of running down the hallway. We could all hear whispering in the halls, the gasps of the teachers as they were told one by one what was happening just a few miles away in New York. I'll never forget the look on my teacher's face as the Vice Principal leaned in the door of her class, waved her over, and whispered into her ear. I could see the same expression on this newscaster's face right now as he struggled to keep his cool on air. We were all told that we needed to go home, that our parents would be coming to pick us up, but none of them would tell us why. I had never seen my dad afraid before, his hands shook as he gripped the wheel of the car with white knuckles. The drive home from school normally took about ten minutes, we made it in three. I got home just in time to see the first tower fall. It just didn't seem real. Now I had the feeling once again. That chilling numbness as if I had just been dunked into ice water. I just stared at the TV, just like I had on that day, wondering what the hell was going on. "Ayumi... I have to call my parents. Stay here for a minute, I'll be right back." The words dribbled out of my mouth. "Okay, Justin." Her chipper voice seemed out of place, she just didn't understand. "How do I make the box show other pictures? This one is boring." I stood up slowly and looked around for a minute before remembering that the remote was broken. "You just push these buttons here on the cable box." I pointed to the two arrow buttons. "Okay?" "Got it," she smiled up at me. "I'll just be right over there, by the kitchen, if you need me." "Okie dokie." She was up and pushing the buttons before I left the room. It was strange walking into my kitchen. Everything in it was exactly as it had been left this morning when I woke up, everything outside, including myself, had gone completely to hell. I picked up the phone and was surprised to still hear a dial tone. As my fingers went to dial my parents number down the shore, it suddenly dawned on me that I had no fucking idea what I was going to say to them if I did get them on the other end of the line. 'Hi mom! How's the vacation? Oh me? Well... nothing much going on here, just the end of the world. Is Jenny there? Could you tell her that her boyfriend is dead and laying out in the middle of the street? How you ask? Well, turns out that demons are real after all. Jimbo cut one off while coming to pick me up, so he got his head stomped in by this fat demon named Otho. Don't worry about me, I died trying to save his slave, but I'm feeling much better now. Oh, his slave? Her name is Ayumi, she's eight years old, completely naked, turns me on for some reason, and now she's my slave. I almost forgot! She's not human! So how's the water?' Somehow it didn't seem right to tell them all of that, but as the phone began to ring, I started to panic. I had to say something if they answered. "Hello? Justin, is that you?" The voice on the other end was my mother's, and I could hear the stress in her voice. "Oh, thank God! We've been trying to reach you for hours now." I don't know why I said it; it just kind of popped out. "Your tree got run over." "What? Justin, listen." She hadn't heard me. "Stay where you are, okay? We are stuck here, maybe for a while. They've closed off the bridges leading off the island, but it doesn't matter because the car doesn't work. You have to stay where you are, okay? Don't go running off, it's not safe. Just stay at home and wait for us. There should be enough food and water there for at least two weeks, unless you pigged out for some reason. Did you hear me?" "Yes Mom," I tried to say, but she kept cutting me off. "I don't know how long we'll be," she continued. "Things are kinda crazy and I don't want you to get mixed up in anything that might get you in trouble. If you need some help, call James, if you can't reach him I'm sure the Johnson's will be willing to help out." I cringed. I would not be calling the Johnson's anytime soon. Tommy Johnson may have been my best friend for close to ten years, but after what that fag tried to do the last time we'd stayed overnight, our friendship had quickly come to an end. We hadn't really spoken since that night, and if I could avoid it I wouldn't be speaking of that night ever again. Look, I got nothing against gays; it's just not my thing. If Tommy had just, you know, told me how he felt rather than trying to paw at me in the dark, maybe things would have gone smoother. It would have been awkward, but maybe we still would've been friends. Him turning into such a dick afterwards certainly didn't help either, but I never told anyone about what he'd done, well... tried to do, even when the whole school seemed to turn against me. "Justin, are you listening to me?" my mom asked. "Yeah Mom, I heard you, but I should be fine on my own. Don't worry." I was scared shitless about what was going on in the world, but I didn't want her to know that. I didn't want her to worry about me. "Okay, your dad wants to talk to you so I'm going to put him on. I love you." "I love you too, Mom." I hadn't told her that since her birthday a few months back. Now for some reason I wished I had told her more often. There was some clunking as my dad took the phone. "Hey, kiddo. How ya doing?" "I'm alright dad, you guys?" "Your mother's a bit worried about you but I'm sure you'll be okay. You're a smart kid; I know you can take care of things until we get back." I think he said that more for my mom's benefit than mine. "No problem, Dad, I'll hold down the fort here." "That's my boy. Do you still have power? Cause it's out here." "It went off earlier, but it came back on." "Good, that's good. Keep the doors closed and the blinds shut, that should keep the air cool if it goes off again. Same thing goes for the fridge; keep the door closed as much as possible." "Got it Dad. I know what to do. The guy on the news just talked about all of that stuff." "Sounds like you have everything under control on your... click... ... dooooooooooooooo..." The phone cut off in the middle of his sentence. I tried to re-dial, but all I got was a busy signal. I guess I was on my own... again. Continued in Chapter Five....
