There are many families that have adopted the family bed approach with their
children. They often hide that they do that from their friends and family. Here
in North America it sounds very strange practice, while in many cultures
throughout the world this practice is quite common. 30 years ago in North
America, not many people had the room for each child to have their own room or
bed. Siblings would share their beds as a result. Some families had to share the
parents bed because they just didn't have a bed for them to sleep in. Economics
today allow us to have the resources to have each child in their own room and in
their own bed.
I truly believe this leads to many of our negative personal issues in our
society such as our rules in schools where public displays of affection are
frowned upon. The family unit is not as strong as it used to be because we do
not condition our children to be together and become a close family unit.
My husband and I believe that the family bed helps to solved these issues. Our
children know they are loved, they understand they can come to us and ask us
anything. If you sleep naked with a person you end up naturally sharing more of
yourself with that person. Being a nudist family, we are normally naked in our
home. At night we are usually naked together in our bed. The warm skin of
another person sleeping next to you is a wonderful bond which is different then
if you wore pj's. The family bed also provides us with many opportunities for
learning as well. All our children have seen the boys and my husband with
morning erections. The family bed was the major factor in our becoming a close
family.
Jen and I started our relationship because she caught me masturbating one
