 Naki Dawn Chapter 02
   A/N: Vena's Back Story takes place around the same time as the events of
Chapter 01 starting when Zurina is 8 years old.
Monkey D.  Vena, age eight and the daughter of Monkey D.  Dragon and
Monkey D.  Cena, is in Partys Bar in her home village of Foosha.  Foosha
Village is located on Dawn Island and is mostly a part of the Goa Kingdom.
Goa City is to the right of Foosha Village along with the fact that Mt. 
Corvo is right behind Foosha Village.  Goa City is divided into five parts,
the first is the Great Gate which connects the huge junkyard of Gray
Terminal to Edge Town.  Next is Edge Town where businesses and people live
along with a few allies where gangs hang out at.  The Town Center is where
most of the businesses are located that also deal with the Nobles that live
in High Town.  High Town is a clean part of Goa City since the Nobles live
there along with trying to not head into Edge Town if they need to.  And
last is the Royal Palace where the king lives and controls most of what
happening around his kingdom.  Now let's talk about Gray Terminal and Mt.
Corvo, first, Gray Terminal is a huge junkyard where people live and find
`treasure' from Goa City to sell for money.  The place is mostly fill with
crime and disease with a bad smell from the place burning from the sun
hitting it.  The forest between Gray Terminal and Mt.  Corvo is called
Midway Forest.  Mt.  Corvo is where Mountain Bandits live as a group of
Bandits is head toward Foosha Village.
   The mayor of Foosha Village Woop Slap is in Partys Bar talking with a
female in a marine's coat.  This Woman is Melrode D.  Naki as she looks at
her goddaughter just show the Red Hair Pirates that she isn't afraid by
cutting her face under her left eye.  Shanks, the leader of the Red
Pirates, have gotten a Devil Fruit and an Orb on his journey in a chest
that is near Vena.  "Um guys, where are the Devil Fruit and the Orb that we
gotten from that raid," said Benn Beckman, the first mate of the Red Hair
Pirates, as the crew notice that the devil fruit and the orb are gone. 
Shanks try to put his hands on Vena to get her attention when his hand
bounces off of her left shoulder.  `So she absorb the Baunsu-Baunsu no Oobu
(Bouncy-Bouncy Orb) then that mean she also eaten that Gomu-Gomu no Mi
(Rubber-Rubber Fruit),' thought Shanks as Yasopp, the sniper of the crew
talks with Lucky Roo.  Melrode got a drink from the bartender, Makino as a
gang of Mountain Bandits came into the bar.
   The leader of this gang of Mountain Bandits is called Higuma and he
wants some rum.  After some insults and Higuma pouring the last of the rum
on Shanks' head, the bandits left the bar.  Vena leaves after getting angry
at Shanks for not fighting back.  The next day, Vena is showing off her new
powers as Woop Slap really hope that Vena doesn't become a pirate.  Vena is
seen heading into Partys Bar then a few seconds later, Higuma and his
bandits enter the bar.  Later, Makino ran to get Woop Slap as Higuma is
beating Vena as she and Woop Slap return.  Woop Slap tries to get Higuma to
back off, but the bandit didn't care.  Shanks and his crew returns as
Higuma have one of his bandits hold a gun to Shanks' head.  Lucky Roo
killed that bandit as Benn Beckman took care of the rest of the bandits as
Higuma escapes.  Higuma tries to throw Vena into the ocean, but a Lord of
the Coast has eaten Higuma as Shanks saved Vena before the Sea King could
get a second meal.  Shanks then use Haoushoku Haki to scare away the Lord
of the Coast as Vena points something out.  "Shanks, your arm is missing,"
said Vena as Shanks got her back to the village.  "Give me back this hat
when you become a great pirate," said Shanks as he left the next day with
his crew.  Vena cries as Shanks left then promise that she will be the
greatest pirate out there.
   The next day, Vena is walking with her mother, Cena, and Grandfather,
Monkey D.  Garp to see someone that will watch over her.  "Oh and what do
you want now, Garp!" shouted Curly Dadan as she walks out of her house then
saw Cena, Garp, and Vena.  "I want you to raise my daughter along with
watching over her training," said Cena as Dadan sighs then accepts after
Garp kind of threaten Dadan.  "Vena, I want you to have this bow and arrows
that I gotten from a friend that I know from an island of only females. 
They use these for training for when they can get their real and final
bow," said Cena as Vena thanks her mother for the bow and arrows then dodge
a ball of spit.  "I see that you met Ace already and I want the both of you
to get along," said Cena as she says her good byes then left with Garp.  "I
still can't believe that Rouge was to hold Ace inside of her for that long.
Gol D.  Ace, the son of the later pirate King, Gol D.  Roger and Portgas D.
Rouge," said Cena as she walks away from her daughter.  Vena sits down to
eat with the bandits, but asked why she gotten such a small proportion. 
"You get the big proportion if you killed the food as you see Ace is the
one that did the deal and he gets most of the meat," said Dadan as Vena
sighs.  The next day, Vena got up and ran after Ace as Magura tries to call
Vena to wash the clothes.  "I am not someone's maid or nurse," said Vena
heads after Ace.  Ace knocked by a tree, but Vena use the powers of her
Baunsu-Baunsu no Oobu to jump high and over the tree.  The two got to a
bridge as Ace then knocks Vena off the bridge as he went on his way.  Later
Ace returns to Dadan's house, Dogura asked Ace where Vena was, but Ace said
that Vena got lost.
   After a week, Vena returns to Dadan's house with a buffalo as she smirks
at Ace and the others.  She told them that wolves attack her, but Ace
wonders how she could stay alive out there.  After coming back, Vena
decided to keep following Ace with only getting a little farther each time.
After a while, Vena finally follows Ace to Gray Terminal as she then lost
Ace for a little bit, but found and follow him again.  She finds Ace with a
boy that is Ace's age and wants to help them, but the two boys tied her up.
The boy's name is Sabo as Ace just remembered who he stole some of the
money from.  The pirates that Ace stole from were the Bluejam Pirates as
Porchemy walks with two other crew members to where Vena is at.  Vena
shouted out Ace's name, but didn't say anymore then that so Porchemy
decided to take Vena back to a hideout.  Later, Porchemy is punching Vena
with spiked gloves when Ace and Sabo appear with Bo Staffs like pipes.  Ace
and Sabo defeated Porchemy along with getting Vena away as the two help
bandage Vena up.  "So why do you keep following me around anyway?" Ace
asked Vena as Vena was still crying.  "Because you are the only one that I
can rely on and I want to be your friend since I can't go back to Foosha
Village," said Vena as Ace sighs.  "You know that those pirates are going
to come after me now, so how about I come and stay with you two," said Sabo
as Ace agrees with that.  Porchemy was killed by Bluejam for not getting
the money back.
   Dadan sighs as she told Sabo the next day that he can stay, but they
will all have to train in the forest together.  During one of the days that
the three are away, Dadan read in a newspaper that a Tenryuubito is coming
to Dawn Island for some unknown reason.  A few days later, Vena and the two
boys head into Edge Town to pull a nice dine and dash.  It goes off without
any problems, but it seems that someone knows Sabo.  Ace and Vena wonder if
Sabo is hiding anything from them as Sabo sighs.  "That man that called my
name is my father and I am a noble.  I didn't like that life so I ran away
and decided to live in gray Terminal," said Sabo as Ace and Vena accepts
that.  "Now to finally get my freedom, I started to get treasure then I met
Ace.  I want to become a pirate to roam the free seas to get away from the
life of a noble.  My plan is to roam the seas while writing about the
adventures of my crew," said Sabo as Ace smirks then pull out a bottle of
Sake that he had.  "Once we drink this then we are family, two brothers and
one sister," said Ace as he pour the sake into sake cups.
   Ace, Vena, and Sabo smile and drink the Sake as Ace told them that he
wants to be a pirate to be acknowledgement while Vena wants to become a
great pirate.  "I am going to find One Piece even if I am not a captain of
my own crew," said Vena as she smirks.  The three then went on to train in
the forest, train with Garp and Cena when they come by, train with Zurina
when she came over with her mother, get new clothes from Woop Slap and
Makino, and have fun during their training.  Time past as the three keep
getting stronger, but one day, Sabo's father with the Bluejam pirates found
them.
   "I am taking Sabo back with me or you two will die," said Sabo's father
as Sabo decided to go back with him.  Bluejam have Vena and Ace join his
crew to carry some cargo to some points in Gray Terminal.  Later, Sabo
learns that the Nobles plan to burn Gray Terminal from overhearing his
father and mother talk about it.  On the night that Gray Terminal is to
burn, Vena and Ace are left behind while Bluejam and his crew run from the
inferno.  Sabo falls to the ground and shouted that he doesn't want to be a
noble anymore to a cloaked figure.  This Cloaked Figure is Monkey D. 
Dragon as he looks at Sabo then smirks.  "I was born in this kingdom and I
still lack the power to change it.  I will remember your story well young
noble," said Dragon as he left Sabo to rest as he walks to another cloaked
figure that is wearing high heels.
   Bluejam learns that he been betray as he then ran back to find Vena and
Ace.  He finds them as Vena attacks Bluejam, but he pins her to the ground.
"I am going to kill you then Ace as I will then go and find your damn
treasure," said Bluejam as he is about to kill Vena, but Ace unleashed a
burst of Haoushoku Haki to knock out all, but Bluejam.  Bluejam is now in a
rage as he is about to attack Ace, but Dadan and her bandits arrive to stop
him.  Dogura grabs Vena, but Ace stayed there to fight against Bluejam as
Dadan told them to leave as she will stay with Ace then bring him back. 
Ace and Dadan charge towards Bluejam to finish him off once and for all.
   The people living in Gray Terminal still are trying to find a way out
when a path forms to safely as a ship is seen near the island.  They got to
where the ship is as Dragon told them if they want to help him then come
abroad the ship.  "This kingdom is a blueprint of the future of this world
and there will be no happiness.  I will change this world and it starts
with getting piece to help with that," said Dragon as he told this to the
figure that was wearing high heels.  The next day, Sabo learns that
Bluejam's boat has been burn down and he wonders if Ace and Vena are safe.
At that time, Vena wants to head into the Terminal to look for Ace and
Dadan, but Dogura and Magura keep her there.  The day came that the
Tenryuubito will come as Sabo sets out to sea after sending a letter to
Vena and Ace.  Dogura is at the docks as he also sees that it is Sabo that
is leaving.  Sabo was able to get out of the way of the Tenryuubito's ship,
but Saint Jalmack pull out his hand cannon and destroy Sabo's ship killing
the young boy.
   Meanwhile, Vena still tries to leave the house, but Magura told her that
the bandits sent Dogura to look for Ace and Dadan.  After a few minutes,
Ace comes back carrying Dadan as Vena cries, but Ace bops Vena on the head.
`Ace is like Roger, he won't leave anyone behind because he doesn't want
anyone to follow people that he holds dear,' thought Dadan as she smiles.
Dogura returns to the good news, but he has bad news to tell everyone as he
told them that Sabo is dead.  Ace wants to head after the Tenryuubito, but
Dadan ties Ace to a tree to keep him from getting in trouble.  The next
day, a letter arrives for Ace and Vena as Ace reads it since Vena isn't in
the house.  Ace cries after reading the letter as he went to find Vena.  "I
am to take care of you as Sabo doesn't want to leave his little sister to
venture out alone.  We will get stronger and we will protect the people
that we will hold dear.  Sis, we are going to head out to sea before our
eighteenth birthday since Nobles become full nobles on their eighteenth
birthday," said Ace as Vena nods then stands up and smirks.  "I am going to
head out just before my birthday as I promise Zurina that we meet on our
birthdays," said Vena.
   Vena and Ace train everyday until it was time for Ace to leave.  On that
day, Portgas D.  Ace gets his small boat and is leaving the island as Vena
smirks at this.  "Three more years then I will leave to become a pirate,"
said Vena as she went back to training after Ace left.  Dadan finish crying
when Vena came back later as she then gives Vena a new bow that Cena
deliver that day.  "All I heard from her is that this will be useful in
three years, but I hope that she is right," said Dadan as Vena smiles. 
`Then I will be ready to set sail and meet up with Zurina in three years,'
thought Vena.
