"Where... where... am I?"
My head pounding, I opened my eyes and was temporarily
blinded by the sudden rush of light. It felt as though I
had been in an automobile accident and was just waking up
out of a six month coma. I tried to move my arms and legs,
but could barely get a nudge out of them.
Wait a minute... was I in Heaven?
Breathing heavily, I squinted my eyes and tried to adjust
to the light. Slowly but surely, I was able to. Finally, I
saw the images of two lovely faces staring right back at me.
Was that... yes, it was. It most certainly was. This was
Heaven. But not the type of Heaven most people associate
with. This was my own personal Heaven.
Like the angels that they truly were, Devon and Kristanna
were on either side of me. Both of them were holding my
hands as they gazed down at me. It seemed very fitting that
in the time I needed them most, they were right beside me.
"Wha... what happened?" Then, I groaned out in a sudden
rush of pain. "Oh God, my head. My head..."
A single tear streaked down Devon's face as she patted my
shoulder with her free hand. "You need your rest, Jeremy."
"You need to lay back and relax," Kristanna chimed in,
bringing my right hand to her lips and gently kissing it.
"Do you know who we are?" Devon asked.
"You're... my wives," I answered, confused as to why she
would ask me such a question. "Devon... and... Kristanna."
Devon looked relieved. "At least he remembers that."
"What's going on?" I asked, trying to sit up. My body
would not respond, however. All I received for my effort
was another sudden rush of pain within my head.
"You're in the hospital," Kristanna told me. "You have a
grade three concussion. This is your first time being awake
in the past seven hours."
I quickly glanced about the room and indeed, I was in the
hospital. There were all types of monitoring equipment wired
to various parts of my body. I could tell that something was
wrapped around my head. Was it a heavy gauze bandage?
"Do you have any recollection of what happened?" Devon
asked me. "We talked to the doctor, through an interpreter,
and he said that short-term memory loss is commonplace for
your type of concussion. I'm surprised you remember us."
I paused, trying to recall. "A-Am-A-Amy..."
"The doctor said you wouldn't remember anything," Devon
commented, before looking over at Kristanna.
"Amy hit me... with something," I said, trying to fit the
jigsaw puzzle that my brain was back together. "She... she
was mad... voyeur room." I tried to sit up again, but was
unsuccessful. "Oh G-God... where is A-Amy?"
"You need your rest," Kristanna reiterated. "We will talk
about everything that happened once we're back home." She
turned her focus upon Devon. "Why don't you go and get the
doctor since Jeremy is awake now?"
"Where is Am-Amy?" I insisted, as Devon walked off.
Kristanna hesitated for a moment, then frowned. "We
shipped that bitch's ass back to the United States." I let
out a faint cry as Kristanna added, "Amy is not welcome in
our lives anymore. Not after what she did to you."
"But she was mad and had reason..."
"Shhhhh," Kristanna hushed me, leaning over and offering
my lips a slight whisper of a kiss. "Just rest, Jeremy. I
want you to rest. That's the only thing which is going to
make you feel better. Lots and lots of rest."
"You and Devon... make me... feel better." Oh damn, I
said to myself. My head felt as if it was on fire!
* * *
A good 24 hours later - after a long night in the hospital
for observation - I had regained full use of my motor skills,
but was confined to the bed in the luxury suite that I shared
with my two wives back on the island. The Peruvian doctor in
Lima said I was to stay in bed for the better part of a week,
and simply relax. I was to do nothing else.
Things sure were quiet around the mansion - and for good
reason. There was no Stephanie. Lindsay was gone. Sarah
opted to leave on her own accord, as did Pamela and Trish.
Amy and Britney had packed up and hit the road as well.
In fact, I was right back to where I started from two
months ago. All I had in life was Devon and Kristanna. Of
course, I was not complaining. Did I have any reason to?
"Jeremy, you CANNOT forgive Amy for what she did to you,"
Devon stressed to me. "She hits you with that vase an inch
off in either direction, and she could have killed you!"
Kristanna, who was seated on the bed alongside us, nodded
her head in agreement. "What really got me about Amy is
after she hit you, with all the blood there was, she got
down and started choking you. I'll never forgive her for
that. That was premeditated. She knew what she was doing."
Not only did I have that grade three concussion that
Kristanna mentioned in the hospital, but I was also suffering
from a pretty nasty cut on the side of my head which required
staples - not stitches - to finally close up. For added
protection, I also had a white gauze bandage wrapped several
times around my head. Why did this have to happen?
Since returning home, I had experienced repeated spells
of dizziness and nausea. But the doctor told us to expect
that. It would be quite normal. It could take a month, or
perhaps much longer, for me to fully recover from what Amy
had done to me. Each day, I would improve just a little
until I was finally back to normal. At least... I hope.
"Did I have that reaction when I first learned about the
voyeur room?" Devon asked, curling an arm around my chest
and squeezing as she lay next to me upon the bed. "I may
have slapped you, but I didn't try to kill you. And with
each second that went by, I calmed down more and more. Amy
got worse and worse as time went by."
"We don't need Amy in our lives if she is capable of that
level of violence," Kristanna said. "I thought, Jeremy... I
thought when you passed out... you were d-dead." Kristanna
turned her face away from me and started crying.
"Krissy..." I gushed, sitting up and then bringing her
into my arms. I held the side of her face upon my chest as
she continued to sob. "Don't, Krissy. Don't..."
"I thought that way too," Devon whined, her own eyes now
full of tears. "You looked li-lifeless..." I sighed and
then wrapped my right arm around Devon, and held her close.
"I thought I no longer had a h-husband. And that our baby
would have no Daddy. It was... it was the worst four or
five seconds of my life until Krissy checked your pulse.
Even then, we still didn't know if you'd be o-okay..."
"It will take a lot more than that to knock me off," I
told them. "I have a really hard head, you know. But you
have to look at it from Amy's point of view."
"Why?" Kristanna sobbed.
"To Amy, the voyeur room was a complete violation of
trust," I explained. "Compound it with her suspicions of me
broadcasting everything to the rest of the world... Amy had
plenty of reason to be angry at me. PLENTY of reason."
"She didn't have any reason to hit and assault you with
what was really a deadly weapon," Devon insisted. "I know
you are a nice and forgiving guy, Jeremy. But there is NO
WAY that you could EVER forgive Amy for what she did to you."
"I agree," Kristanna nodded.
Devon started to cry once again. "She almost took away
everything that is important to you. To us. Amy almost
stole your chance of one day being a father." Now, there
were tears in my eyes. "Isn't that what you have always
wanted, Jeremy? To be a father?"
"Yes... true. But still, I think Amy was justified."
Devon and Kristanna shook their heads at me as I continued,
"The voyeur room is a horrible place. You two know me well
enough to realize that I have no bad intentions whatsoever
with the voyeur room. I just like to watch. I'm nosey."
"You have to look at it from Amy's point of view, though.
She knew nothing about the voyeur room. For all she knew,
there could have been a live feed of everything from here on
the Internet. I certainly have the computer capabilities
here to do that. I understand why she did what she did."
"So you're saying that you want her back with us?" Devon
asked, her eyes wide as she glared at me.
"Quite the contrary," I answered. "I want nothing to do
with Amy ever again. She can stay wherever it is that she
went off to. I don't even want to talk to her again."
"I don't understand..." Devon murmured.
"I agree with her reaction, but I don't condone it," were
my words. "Besides... if we brought her back, she could
snap and do the same thing again. Not just to me, but to
one of you girls. Can't have that. I don't like violence.
I never have, and I never will."
"Krissy or I would NEVER do something quite that drastic,"
Devon frowned. "I still feel guilty over slapping you from
last year, Jeremy. That happened what... eight months ago?
That was definitely a spur of the moment thing. After it
happened, I could not believe I had done that to you. I
still think about it sometimes, and feel guilty."
"I could have really unloaded on Amy, and even Lindsay,
but I didn't," Kristanna said. "In fact, the take-down I
did on Amy was the first time I ever used martial arts on
someone else in my life. All I really did was pull her
away from you, and then yank her down. After what she did
to you, Jeremy, I had reason to tear Amy limb from limb.
But I didn't. I let her go."
"You really wanted to tear into Lindsay before she left,
because she slapped you," Devon told her. "But I was proud
of you, Krissy. You kept your cool... your composure. You
let her off the hook. Violence is NOT the answer."
Devon looked my way and mused, "Jeremy here... he just
stands there and lets Amy tee off on him. How many times
did Amy slap and punch you yesterday? You made no move to
even block her. You just let her do whatever she wanted."
"I'll never raise my hand to a woman," I vowed. "Never.
I am quite proud of myself, too. To go through what I did
with Amy, without even a THOUGHT of retaliation."
"How did Amy find out about the voyeur room?" Devon asked.
"Amy said the wall panel was a quarter of the way open,"
Kristanna offered. "How is that possible?"
"I've had problems with the wall closing all the way in
the past," I responded. "It's been awhile, though. I guess
I left the voyeur room yesterday and turned the knob to seal
the wall, but didn't look around to check to see that it had
closed all the way. I remember checking what Britney was
going to fix for breakfast with the voyeur room, then going
down to the kitchen myself. The wall must have locked up,
but I didn't turn to check. It was my fault."
"We have to make sure it is closed from now on," Devon
said. "Don't need that happening again."
"What does it matter now?" Kristanna asked her. "All of
our friends and guests are gone. They're all gone."
"You got a point there..." Devon frowned.
"I never understood something," Kristanna offered. "Why
did we bring everyone back to the island, and add Gabrielle,
Sarah and Britney to the mix? Things were going just fine
around here until we brought everyone back a second time."
"Are you saying that you didn't want all of our friends
to come back and visit us?" Devon wondered.
"As friends, yes," Kristanna answered. "Not as lovers.
Weren't the three of us happy enough with each other? Why
did we have to bring back Pamela, Lindsay, Amy, Trish and
Stephanie, and add in Gabrielle, Sarah and Britney?"
"It wasn't a question of whether or not we were happy
with each other," I told her. "We are, quite obviously.
It's just... I invited all of them here because I thought
it would make you two girls happy."
"I was happy without them here," Kristanna commented.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Devon gushed.
"I did tell you that. Several times, in fact."
"No..." Devon countered. "Why didn't you tell us that
you didn't want them to come back? Am I reading you right?
That is what you're saying... correct?"
"I saw no reason for them to come back," Kristanna said.
"But I agreed to it so both you and Jeremy were happy, Devvy.
Isn't that the one thing I have always said? All I want in
life is for you and Jeremy to be happy."
"I would not have been happy if I realized that you did
not want the others here," I told Kristanna.
"Yeah..." Devon agreed. "Me too."
The Norwegian shrugged her shoulders. "All I have heard
the past two months is how both of you want Lindsay to stay,
you want her to leave, you want her to stay. Jeremy wants
Amy to marry into our relationship. Devon wants Trish to
stay with us. Jeremy goes to Maryland not once, but TWICE,
to try and convince Pamela to come back to us."
Kristanna turned toward me and sobbed, "How do you think
I felt, J-Jeremy... when you were off in M-Maryland? I AM
YOUR WIFE! Yet you are thousands of miles away, chasing
after some woman whom you know you will never have! You
should have been home with ME! With US!" I could not
believe Kristanna's tone of voice, or her little outburst.
"Why didn't you speak up?" I asked, stunned. Obviously,
Kristanna was hurt. It wasn't all that often when she let
her emotions be known. But now was one of those times.
"I also did not like having to stay behind for your
grandmother's funeral," Kristanna added. "I realize that
we do not want your family to know that you are married to
two women. But I still would have liked to went. I could
have went as a `friend' of you and Devon's. That is how I
posed at your wedding - as a friend."
"Why didn't you speak up?" I reiterated.
"You and Devon were h-happy," Kristanna shrieked, wiping
away her tears. "You wanted the other girls here. You even
wanted Pamela and Amy to MARRY us. I never said anything
because I know both of you wanted all of this. But I am
happy, selfishly speaking, that Pamela and Amy are gone. I
want my life to be like it was before... with both of you.
And no one else. NO ONE else..."
"Kristanna..." I sighed, both hurt and touched.
"What we wanted was for all three of us to be happy,"
Devon corrected her. "Not just one or two, but all three."
"Just look at what the last two months has done for us,"
Kristanna offered, holding up her right arm. "I have a
broken hand and wrist because one day, I saw my own wife
getting a little too obsessive over Lindsay." Devon shook
her head and hid her face as Kristanna added, "I was so MAD
at what you were saying to Lindsay, Devon, that I was ready
to LEAVE you. I shattered both my hand and wrist, punching
the wall, because I was so ANGRY."
"I'M SO SORRY!" Devon cried, showing her tear-drenched
face. "I'm never going to live that down! It's painful for
me too, Krissy! Each time I lo-look at you, and see th-that
cast... I know how much I hurt you! It was all MY FAULT!"
Devon hid her eyes with both hands and began sobbing harder.
I felt sorry for her. She never was going to forgive herself
for what happened with Lindsay on the beach that day.
"What else has happened these past two months?" Kristanna
asked, turning her focus to me. "You were almost KILLED by
a woman that was in a mad rage. As things turned out, you
have a concussion that will take weeks, if not months, for
you to recover from. You'll probably have a scar on the
side of your head for the rest of your life, too."
Kristanna paused and added, "Staples. My own husband has
three staples sticking out of the side of his head. Why?
Because of Amy. Why was I so mad at Devon that for a day or
two, I wanted to leave her? Because of Lindsay. Remember
what I said to you that day, Devon?"
"That I-I-I'm Jeremy's wife... not yours..." Devon cried,
having lost total control of her faculties.
Kristanna nodded her head. "All because of Lindsay. Amy
caused major problems with Jeremy. I never wanted Pamela to
come back. It just made me wonder if I was doing everything
I could as a wife to keep the two of you happy."
"Why didn't you say anything?" I asked her yet again. "I
would have never went after Pamela if I knew you felt that
way. I love you, Kristanna." I embraced her with both arms
and added, "I love you and Devon more than anything. The
two of you are more than enough wife for me."
"I didn't speak up then, but I'm speaking up now," she
proclaimed. "I just don't think we need anyone else in our
lives. I certainly know I don't. Look what else happened
during their recent visit, too. One of the nicest people I
have ever met - Trish - is going to be emotionally scarred
for the rest of her life because of what Lindsay did to her.
That would have never happened if we didn't bring them back."
"Krissy, I love you!" Devon stressed, still crying. "I am
so sorry about what happened to your hand and wrist! If I
had the choice, _I_ would rather be the one who was hurt!
Not you, but ME!" Devon was never going to get over this.
It did not help matters since Kristanna had brought the issue
up. "I would do anything for you, Krissy! Anything!"
"All of these nasty and horrible events would have never
happened if we simply kept things the way they were, and
stayed to ourselves," Kristanna offered. "I liked waking up
each day here on the island, knowing that the only two people
I would interact with would be my husband and wife. We never
had problems amongst ourselves until the others showed up. I
certainly don't count Louisa, the housekeeper."
"What Devon did that day with Lindsay, when she made me
so incredibly angry, would have never happened. And you,
Jeremy... chasing after Pamela. I would not have laid in
bed at night and cried myself to sleep because you weren't
with me. You were out pursuing some other woman."
"Kristanna, if I only knew..." I offered.
"You didn't know, and I'm not blaming you," she said. "I
am not blaming you at all. Nor am I blaming Devon. I am
simply stating my mind. You two have always wanted me to be
more open and direct with the way I feel. Here you go."
"I just wish you would have told us this in the past," I
frowned. "Pamela and Amy do not mean a fraction of what you
mean to me, sweetheart." I hesitated, then nodded my head.
"I am glad they're no longer in our lives. I don't want
them here if they are going to make you feel uncomfortable."
I could not believe I had just said that about Pamela. But
it was the truth. I didn't want Pamela here at Kristanna's
expense. Or Devon's expense, for that matter.
"You must have been miserable when both Jeremy _AND_ I
were meeting with Pamela in Maryland!" Devon fretted toward
Kristanna. Devon's beautiful face was now an absolute mess
from her crying fit. I had never saw her this bad off.
Kristanna pulled away from my embrace, then extended both
arms toward Devon, who immediately crawled over my body and
plopped herself right down in her wife's lap. The pair of
ladies shared a warm and emotional hug. Devon, being overly
sensitive, was still sobbing - but not as much as before.
"You two are right," Kristanna nodded. "I should have
spoke up a long time ago. But I didn't, and I'm sorry."
She tightened her grip upon Devon. "Don't cry, baby. I
don't want you to cry. Perhaps I'm being too hard..."
"What was our original plan once all of the ladies went
back home?" I asked. "We were going to devote ourselves to
each other and have a monogamous relationship. Just the
three of us. I say we commit to that right here, and now.
From this point forward, there will be no one else welcome
in our lives. If one of us breaks this pact, it will be
considered cheating - and bear the same consequences."
"I have no problem with that," Kristanna said. "In fact,
it is what I have wanted all along."
Devon pulled her face away from Kristanna's shoulder and
looked at me through her tears. "I want it, too. I don't
want anyone but you and Krissy in my life from now on. I
don't NEED anyone but you and Krissy in my life..."
Kristanna smiled and offered Devon a kiss on the cheek.
She then turned her attention to me. "There were times when
I was jealous of Pamela and Amy, you know."
"How so?" I asked.
"Look at Pamela's body, and then look at mine," she said.
"Pamela is a double-D cup. She has the body of a centerfold.
Me? My body does not compare with hers. My measurements
are only 34-B, 22, 30. I know how much you liked Pamela's
body, Jeremy. You lusted after her."
"Your body does not compare with hers?" I asked, laughing.
"Just because Pamela has bigger breasts than you... that does
not mean that she has a better body than you. I like you
just the way you are, Kristanna. Your legs are heavenly...
your body is firm and tight, and your face is gorgeous. In
fact, I think you have a better body than Pamela."
"Really?"
"Really," I confirmed.
"Look at Lindsay, and how Jeremy and I were fascinated
with her," Devon, a D-cup herself, offered. "Her breasts
are smaller than yours, Krissy. Until the day you hurt
yourself and then needed surgery, Lindsay was my favorite
of all of our guests. I couldn't get enough of her. She
had a... magnificent body." Devon paused, then quickly
added, "But not near as good as yours."
As Kristanna smiled, I asked, "You were jealous of Amy?"
"Yeah," she answered, a hint of her usual spirit and
zest back in her voice. "You go on and on about my legs,
Jeremy. I would like to be told to wear a miniskirt like
you always told Amy, and then have to drop down and suck
your cock on cue." My eyebrows raised as she added, "Not
every single day, mind you. But certain days, yes."
"We can keep you in a miniskirt from now on," I said, a
wicked gleam in my eyes. "Yes. We can."
I pouted before continuing, "If you have any problems
with the way Devon and I do things, or the way we act, you
have to speak up from now on. Do I love Pamela? Yes, I
do. But I don't love her enough to jeopardize anything
that I have with you and Devon. I could never love her
enough. If I knew you felt this way, I would have shipped
Pamela out a long time ago." I took a deep breath. "I was
just talking with Trish yesterday. I told her that there
was you and Devon in my life, and then everyone else."
"We saw that with the voyeur room," Devon murmured, a
faint smile upon her face. "It was incredibly sweet."
"What did Pamela say when she found out about the voyeur
room?" I asked. "Amy said she was going to tell her."
"Pamela was hurt and upset, but we convinced her that you
had no bad intentions with the voyeur room," Devon replied.
"Remember that Trish already knew about the voyeur room.
She helped convince Pamela, too."
"You could do no wrong in Pamela's eyes," Kristanna told
me. "She loves you the same way Devon and I love you."
"I'm sorry that you did not get to say good-bye to her,"
Devon frowned. "But after the rescue chopper came and took
you away on a stretcher, Krissy and I made everyone pack up.
We bought them airline tickets on the computer and sent them
home right away. Will picked them up in his helicopter. We
got his partner, Enrique, to fly us to the hospital."
"What about Britney?" I asked. "Was she still mad?"
Devon pouted and nodded her head. "She was incredibly
hurt that you spied on us with the voyeur room."
I frowned as well. "Outside of Pamela and Amy, I liked
Britney more than any of our guests. It's too bad that I
never got to explain myself to her." I took a deep breath
and shrugged my shoulders. "Oh well. It doesn't matter
anymore. The only thing that matters is the two of you."
Devon and Kristanna smiled at me. "I love both of you.
Neither of you will ever know how much I love you."
Devon slithered out of Kristanna's lap and then curled
up close to me. "I love you too, Jeremy."
Kristanna took the cue and settled down on the other
side of me. When Devon laid her head upon my shoulder,
Kristanna sighed and did the same. Smiling, I caressed
their blonde heads with my hands as they peacefully rested
on both of my shoulders. Indeed, I was a lucky man.
"I love you too," Kristanna murmured, kissing my chest.
"I thought I lo-lost you yesterday, Jeremy. I thought you
were d-d-dead. That's... that's why I'm telling you and
Devvy all of this today. I want my feelings to be known."
"I want you to share those feelings with us from now on,"
I told her. "Don't put on a happy face and act as if all is
well in your life if it is not."
"I'll be perfectly fine if we stay monogamous to each
other," Kristanna offered, again kissing my shoulder while
also grasping Devon's right hand with her left. "The three
of us go so wonderful together. Why bring others into our
relationship? They will only mess things up. The only girl
I truly felt comfortable with was Sarah. She was my friend.
But I would not want her in our marriage."
"Is it time for you to take your medicine?" Devon asked
me, looking at her wristwatch.
"Not for another hour," Kristanna responded for me.
"What about our future?" I wondered.
"I talked with my parents just yesterday, before all the
problems arose," Kristanna countered. "They both said they
are willing to retire to an island retreat with us. But
the island has to be small, and quiet. They do not want to
live in a place like the Bahamas, where there is millions of
tourists passing through."
"I don't want to live in a place like that either," I
offered. "You girls know I love things being quiet."
"My parents also understand that we want to live on an
island where our children can go to school and interact
with others their own age, and grow up right," Kristanna
added. "So we won't live in some desolate place, either."
"Anguilla comes to mind right away," I nodded, referring
to the Caribbean resort island. "Remember? We went there
for our second honeymoon. It is beautiful there. It is
nice and quiet, too, and has a good school system."
"My parents said they are going to do some research on
different islands and get back to us," Kristanna mused. "I
think they're going to give us a list of places they like.
That way, we should be able to agree on an island." She
paused and added, "Neither of you would enjoy living in
Norway. It would be culture shock for you."
"What about THIS island?" Devon asked. "This is our home.
All of our memories are here. What will become of it?"
"We can still use this island as a vacation home," I
suggested. "We can come here for a month or two each year.
I am sure the older, married couple that I told you about in
the past - my friends from Peru - would love to look after
the mansion while we are away. They've done it before."
"Please don't sell this island, Jeremy," Devon begged.
"I know there are people out there who would pay you
millions and millions of dollars for this island. But
please don't sell it. All of our memories are here!"
"I'm not going to sell it," I promised, kissing the crown
of Devon's head. "I have no reason to sell it. This will
make a good vacation home for us, as I said. But we have to
get away from here. It's about time I re-enter society. I
have lived here since 1996. That is way too long. I have
lost touch with the rest of civilization."
"It will do you good to get back out into the world, even
if it is on another island," Devon told me. "As long as
there are other people around, it will do you good."
"I say we have a small resort hotel built wherever we go,"
Kristanna suggested. "It would keep us busy. Jeremy could
manage it. I'll work the counter. And Devon could be the
room service girl." Kristanna nodded her head. "Yeah..."
"Room service girl?" Devon asked, confused.
Kristanna giggled and replied, "Customers could order room
service, and you would deliver it on your knees. The type of
room service that all men really want!"
"Hey!" Devon exclaimed, punching Kristanna's shoulder.
I laughed at their playful exchange. It was good to see
Devon and Kristanna goofing around with each other again.
Things seemed so very clear now.
As I lounged here in bed with my two beautiful brides on
either side of me, I realized that women such as Pamela, Amy,
Lindsay and Trish were nothing but added luxuries in my life.
All that I really needed was right here with me now.
At various points over the past two months, Devon and/or I
wanted Pamela, Amy, Lindsay and Trish to stay with us on a
permanent basis. You could probably throw Britney into that
mix as well. But all of those ladies were added luxuries to
me. To us. They would never fit into our inner circle. I
realized that now. No one compared to Devon and Kristanna.
Added luxuries were, of course, nice to have. But they
were unnecessary and in this case, perhaps harmful to what
truly mattered to me in life - my marriage. All I had to do
was look at Kristanna's feelings to realize that.
Because of that, I understood that it was time to forget
those added luxuries and focus on what was important to me.
Kristanna's proposal of a monogamous relationship between
the three of us was the best idea I had ever heard.
Even if I was married to either Devon or Kristanna - and
did not know the other - I would still consider myself the
luckiest man alive. They were that special and unique. But
I was married to BOTH of them. Why risk that by bringing
others into our relationship? I understood that now.
Perhaps Amy cracking me upside the head with that vase
was not such a bad thing after all. I had a concussion,
indeed, and a severe laceration near my left ear. It would
take a long time before I was recovered from this. Even so,
there was the possibility of post-concussion syndrome
popping up six months from now.
