"But I just don't understand!" Ashley complained to me,
as I led her, Torrie, Stacy and Caitlyn, as well as Pamela
and Trish, toward the helicopter that awaited them no more
than 50 feet in front of us.
Just three hours after Kristanna's mental explosion, I
had already made arrangements for all of our guests to return
to their respective homes. Will, my friend from Peru who
owned the helicopter service, would see to it that all of the
ladies were put up in a nice hotel near the airport tonight
and then fly out first thing in the morning. I was paying
him ten times his normal charge for coming to the island and
doing this unexpected, spur of the moment chore for me.
"I don't want to leave the island, Jeremy!" Ashley whined,
perhaps the only woman of the entire group who had any gripes
about returning home. After all, I had agreed to pay Ashley,
as well as Torrie, Stacy and Caitlyn $3 million apiece, even
though they spent just one of what was supposed to be eight
weeks here. Of that group, Ashley was the only one who had
an emotional attachment. It was, unfortunately, for me.
"Why are you sending us home?" Ashley pleaded, tugging at
my arms. "I love this island! I love being here!" The young
and impressionable 18-year-old began crying as she added, "I
never want to leave the island! The money is nothing to me!"
"I'm sorry, Ashley, but all of you have to go," I frowned,
shaking my head. Kristanna was correct in what she said to
me earlier - Ashley was in love with me. I did not see it
before, but I definitely saw it now. She had to go. "Devon,
Kristanna and I... we have a lot of problems, and need to
iron them out. It is best that we do that alone."
"I want to stay!" Ashley cried.
With a trio of suitcases in tow, Torrie bristled past
Ashley and shrugged, "What's the big deal? We got our money.
It's the only reason I came here. Time to go home." Torrie
placed her suitcases into the cargo area of the helicopter
and then climbed in, and took a seat.
Pamela was next. The woman whom I loved so very much at
one point in my life - and vice versa - offered me no eye
contact whatsoever as she got into the helicopter and took a
seat next to Torrie. In fact, Pamela totally ignored me.
Was she angry that I refused to get her pregnant? Or having
guilty thoughts because her insane request had created a
huge rift within my marriage? I could not tell...
"Thanks for the fun week," Caitlyn said to me, before
stepping aboard the chopper.
"Yeah... thanks for the hospitality," Stacy murmured.
Trish walked up to me and offered a depressed, gloomy
frown. "I don't know exactly what happened, Jeremy, but I
do know that Pamela and I were the cause of it. We never
meant to bring any harm to your marriage. Devon... Devon
is my best friend. She always will be."
"Take care of Pamela for me," was my terse request, as I
motioned for Trish to join the others on the helicopter.
When she did, the only woman left to deal with was Ashley.
"I don't want to go!" she sobbed. "I love you, Jeremy!
I love being with you! PLEASE! DON'T MAKE ME GO! I DID
NOTHING WRONG! PLEASE... I'M BEGGING YOU! PLEEEEEASE!"
I felt terrible. "I'm sorry, but you have to go."
Suddenly, Ashley's demeanor changed from desperation to
anger. Her eyes were full of total rage as she screamed at
me, "After everything I let you do to me this past week, I
CANNOT BELIEVE YOU'RE DISCARDING ME LIKE A PIECE OF TRASH!
I gave you my heart, my soul, my body... MY VIRGINITY!"
Ashley then exploded, making two fists and pounding my chest
with them several times in succession. "I HATE YOU, JEREMY!
I HATE YOU! YOU DID NOTHING BUT... _USE_ ME! I HATE YOU!
I HATE YOU! _I HATE YOU_!"
Wanting to be a calming influence, Trish hopped off of
the helicopter and placed both hands upon Ashley's shoulders
from behind. She attempted to guide Ashley, who was crying
uncontrollably now, into the chopper. Finally, she was able
to do so. But not before Ashley said she hated me again...
Feeling like absolute pond scum, I watched with a heavy
heart - and an empty, shallow feeling throughout the rest of
my body - as the helicopter raised into the air. Still
screaming, Ashley was pounding upon the glass with her fist
and glaring at me with anger in her eyes. Unfortunately, it
was my final image of her because just seconds later, the
chopper took off and eventually disappeared over the horizon.
Ashley's cries and venomous words echoed throughout my
mind as I took a moment to crouch down upon the ground like
a baseball catcher. I could not believe how my life had
been upside-down over the course of the past three hours.
Not only had Kristanna screamed at me, but she accused me of
things which were utterly preposterous (like wondering if I
thought of Pamela when I had sex with her). Furthermore,
Kristanna punched me not once, but TWICE. My ribs were
seriously bruised from that karate forearm she sent into my
chest, but at least they did not appear to be broken.
Then, Kristanna took her unexpectant rage out on Devon. I
still could not believe it when Kristanna asked Devon if she
was happy that she broke both her hand and wrist back in
January. Worst of all - judging by what she said - Kristanna
still held a major grudge because of what happened on that
terrible, fateful day back when Devon told Lindsay in the
heat of passion (quoting here), "I could lick your pussy
forever! It's better than any pussy I've ever tasted!"
Things certainly did not start looking up for me when,
because of everything that happened, I informed all of our
guests (Pamela and Trish included) that they were leaving
the island TONIGHT. I told them to pack their belongings
because a helicopter would be here at 10:00pm to take them
back to the mainland. None of the ladies seemed to have a
problem with it once I informed them that I would still pay
the $3 million they were set to earn for spending two months
with us on the island. None of them, that is, except Ashley.
"She hates me," I frowned, still crouched upon the ground
like a baseball catcher. "Can't believe it. She hates me."
That was awful, indeed, but I had something of much greater
importance to take care of right now.
With a sigh, I stood up and walked over to my Jeep. It
was time to return to the mansion and have what promised to
be a very interesting talk with Devon and Kristanna.

                           * * *

When I opened the front door of our estate several moments
later, I found my two wives waiting for me just a couple of
feet away. Devon was seated and leaning against the wall,
her legs outstretched, with Kristanna's head resting upon
her lap as she lay on her side. Both ladies, I could tell,
had been crying because their faces were racked with tears.
"All of the girls are gone now?" Devon quietly asked me.
"Yes, but not without incident," I answered, referring to
Ashley's vocal outburst. Before Devon could request that I
elaborate on that, I shook my head and frowned. "Doesn't
matter anymore. All that matters is the three of us." I
leaned down next to Kristanna and pointed at her right hand
and wrist. "How you feeling, peaches?"
Kristanna looked up at me with the most lifeless, dismal
expression she could muster. "It h-hurts, Jeremy. But I...
I think I just... dinged it. It's not broken." Kristanna
shook her head and grimaced painfully as a new flow of tears
cascaded down her face. "And your chest? How... is it?"
"Bruised and battered, but otherwise okay." I took a
deep breath and sighed, "Nothing broke either... I think."
Devon gently caressed the side of Kristanna's face as the
Norwegian sobbed, "I'm so sorry, Jeremy! It's all my fault!"
"Most of it is your fault, yes," I agreed. "Maybe all.
I don't know yet. Mind telling me what happened earlier?"
"I... I lost my mind," Kristanna answered. "I... God,
where do I even begin?" She sniffed her nose and rubbed her
bleary eyes with her left hand before continuing, "I... I
have this recurring nightmare, Jeremy. I've had it for a
long time. Pam-Pamela... comes back to the island and...
takes... y-you away fr-from me." She began crying harder.
"You make me so ha-ha-happy. My life is perfect. But..."
Kristanna was crying so much now that she could not speak.
"Settle down, baby," Devon soothed, still caressing the
side of Kristanna's face. "Just settle down, and talk.
Everything is going to be okay as long as you tell Jeremy
what you told me." Devon leaned down and pecked her wife's
cheek with a kiss. "Tell him."
Shaking her head, Kristanna needed several seconds to put
a string of coherent words together. "My nightmare, Jeremy.
Pamela comes back... and ta-takes you a-away from me. From
u-us. I dreamt that four or five times since Pamela left the
island the l-last time. I dreamt about it t-two nights ago.
And then, Pamela did come back. Sh-She asked you to get her
pr-pr-pr-pregnant. And I... just... I flipped."
"Flip you did," I agreed, clutching my aching ribs. When
Kristanna finally sat up, I brought her into my arms and
offered her a warm, caring embrace. She buried her face
upon my shoulder and broke into another wave of sobs.
"Every negative thing that has ever built up inside of
me... it just exploded, all at once," Kristanna shrieked.
"I... I never meant to hurt you, Jeremy. I love you! But I
could not _stand_ seeing Pamela again!"
"First thing is first," I told her. "You're my wife, and
I love you. You're my wife, Kristanna, for a reason. If I
wanted to be with Pamela more than I wanted to be with you,
or Devon, chances are I'd be married to Pamela. But I'm not,
nor will I ever be. Pamela could never make me as happy as
you and Devon do. Pamela could never even make as happy as
just one of you could, by yourselves. That is why I married
you, and hope to spend the rest of my life with you."
"It's just a fear I have!" Kristanna fretted, pulling her
face away from my shoulder and looking into my eyes. "I have
it about Pamela. I have it about Amy, too! And because I
have these fears that Pamela or Amy will somehow take you
away from me, Jeremy, I also think about what it would be
like if Lindsay came back and tried to claim Devvy!"
Devon's eyes narrowed. "Are you crazy? Lindsay... ugh!
I could NEVER fall for a girl like her! Lindsay is cruel,
manipulative, self-centered, arrogant, dishonest... want me
to continue? I could go on all day here, you know."
"All these other women in our lives," Kristanna moaned.
"I... I know what I said the past couple of weeks. It was
okay to bring in a new group." She shook her head, her body
trembling. "But I can't. I just _can't_. I can't stand
the thought of either of you being with others."
"And why is that?" I asked, very calmly. "Seems to me
that you spent an awful lot of time with Caitlyn."
"I wanted to make this work!" Kristanna exclaimed. "I
really did! I know how much you and Devon enjoy having
other women here to visit us! I... I just wanted... to
make both of you... happy."
"Krissy, we talked about this five or six weeks ago when
Amy and Britney left, as well as Pamela and Trish," Devon
reminded her. "The three of us - me, you and Jeremy - are
happy together. Anyone else in our life is an added luxury.
Luxuries are nice to have, yes, but they are not necessary."
"Everything in our lives was going great before this new
batch of girls came to the island," I told Kristanna. "After
what happened last month, with Pamela, Trish, Amy and Britney
leaving, and Lindsay, Stephanie and Sarah before them, the
three of us made a commitment to each other. Our marriage
was forever closed, with no one else to ever be allowed in.
It was your idea, Krissy, to bring the new girls here."
"You SAID you wanted them here," Devon added, looking at
her wife. "We asked you several times to be sure about it.
You said bring them, bring them, bring them. Now this..."
"I-I know what I said," Kristanna frowned. "I did want
them here. I wanted it to work! I really did! But... but
now I want things to be the way they... used to be."
"What do you mean?" I wondered.
"I want to be with you and Devvy," Kristanna responded.
"Not with anyone else. And I would appreciate it if you two
want to be with me. Each other, and me. No one else. If
we are so happy together, do we really need anyone else?"
"Everyone wants more," Devon chimed in. "That's a basic
human instinct, Krissy. Everyone wants more. Take a look
at Jeremy - he is worth over a billion dollars. He told me
once that he one day wants two billion. Three billion.
More. He could never spend the money he has now as it is,
yet he wants to double it. Triple it. Quadruple it. Why?"
"Everyone wants more, even if they don't need it," I
offered. "We don't NEED more women, Krissy. Devon and I
have enough as it is. We have plenty. More is nice to have,
but we don't need it. All we really _NEED_ is each other."
"Then you WANT the girls here," Kristanna said.
"I don't want them here if you're going to feel this way
about them," Devon retorted. "I don't want them here at all
if it is at your expense, baby, or Jeremy's expense."
I nodded my head. "I don't want them here, either. Not
if it causes any friction whatsoever. Nothing is worth
risking our marriage, and our future. I have enough as it
is with you and Devon, Kristanna. I have plenty."
   "Me too," Devon agreed.

One could easily make the case that I was being entirely
too soft and lenient with my words in the way that I was
dealing with Kristanna. After her tirade earlier, which
included a pair of vicious blows (one to my chest, the other
to my jaw), many people would suggest that I lose my temper
and really let Kristanna have it in a verbal meltdown.
I strongly considered taking that route, but ultimately
decided against it because there had been too much screaming
and yelling around here in the past couple of hours. No one
could blame me if I did choose to do that.
Still, there was plenty left for me to discuss with
Kristanna. I was going to pull no punches (no pun intended)
with some of the things that I said to her. Now was the time
to get everything out in the open, and taken care of.

"You called Pamela a whore earlier, Krissy, because she
was once a stripper," I offered. "You said she gave all of
her pride and dignity away to anyone who would pay her $35
for a lap dance. Do you really think of Pamela as a whore?
Do you think of her as a whore because she was a stripper?"
"Wait a minute!" Devon snarled, suddenly upset. She
glared at Kristanna and asked, "Whore? Pamela is a WHORE?
Do you look at me that way too? Am I a WHORE to you?"
I gulped my throat, knowing full well that Devon would
react this way when I asked Kristanna that question. But
everything needed to be out in the open tonight.
Kristanna looked scared and timid when she replied, "You
and Pamela are two very different people, Devvy."
"That's bullshit, Krissy!" Devon snapped. "Pure and
total bullshit!" Uh oh, I said to myself. When Devon
starts using the B.S. word, I know that she is VERY upset.
"If you call Pamela a whore simply because she used to be a
stripper, you're calling me a whore, too. I may be a lot of
things, but I am NOT a whore."
"Look, I'm sorry!" Kristanna exclaimed, distraught. "I
said and did a lot of things tonight that I really regret!
But... but yes. Pamela is a... whore... to me."
Her eyes flashing, Devon glared at her wife. "Bullshit!"
"Not just because she was a stripper!" Kristanna cried.
"I simply never liked Pamela because she was always after
Jeremy! Another woman was chasing after my husband! You
may think differently, Devvy, but I did not like it that
Pamela never approved of our lifestyle and relationship with
Jeremy. Always saying she wanted him one-on-one! I took
that as a threat! I know you didn't, but I DID!"
"I never took it as a threat because I know that Jeremy
was and always will be totally committed to us," Devon said,
her voice much lower and more in control than before. "But
being a stripper DOES NOT make a girl a whore. Pamela did
it for the money and, believe it or not, so did I. You can
make $150 a week slinging burgers or $1,500 dancing. When I
was younger and trying to get through school, and make my
car payment every month, the choice was very simple for me.
I hated stripping, but loved the money. I am NOT a whore."
"I would have never married you, Devvy, if I thought you
were a whore," Kristanna pouted. "You're a... a princess."
Kristanna began to cry once again. "I wish... I wish that
this day NEVER HAPPENED!" I nodded my head as Devon, upset
and screaming just seconds ago, took Kristanna into her arms
and held her lovingly. It was a touching sight.
Indeed, this had been a horrible day. It started out
with all the promise in the world as I took Kristanna to the
mainland in order to get her cast removed at the hospital.
But things quickly deteriorated into a total nightmare once
we arrived back home and were greeted by Pamela and Trish.
"We've never had any problems when it has been just the
three of us," Devon cooed, rubbing her hands over and across
Kristanna's back in a tender manner. "I'm going to get back
to the way I used to be. Back in Pennsylvania, when I lived
there, I had tunnel vision for whomever I was dating. I
would not even LOOK at someone else." She nodded her head,
her voice full of resolve. "That's how I'm going to be. I
will have tunnel vision for you and Jeremy, Krissy. Really,
that is the way it should be. We are married and, quite
obviously, it is what's best for our marriage."
"Our marriage is more important to me than anything else
in the whole, wide world," I stressed to Kristanna, pulling
her from Devon's embrace and then taking her into my arms.
"It transcends everything. Pamela, Trish, Ashley, Lindsay...
whomever else you want to name. Compared to you and Devon,
sweetheart, all of those other women are MEANINGLESS to me."
"Pamela is not meaningless to you," Kristanna sniffed.
"Yes she is," I insisted. "Yes she is. Compared to you
and Devon, Pamela means NOTHING to me. NOTHING at all. If
I wanted to be with her, I would be with her right now - and
not the two of you. I can't put it any simpler than that."
"It is finally time to put an end to the joy ride we've
been on," Devon reiterated. "We don't NEED it anymore.
Jeremy and I don't even WANT it. It is time to settle down,
and focus upon what is important in our lives - and that is,
simply, each other. From this point on, Krissy, I only have
eyes for you and Jeremy. That is the way it should be. That
is the way it is GONNA be. Period. End of story."
Still, there were a couple of items that needed to be
discussed and ironed out with Kristanna.
"Why did you hit me?" I asked her. "Twice?" Kristanna
backed away from our embrace and hung her head in shame, a
new set of tears running down her face. "I have never done
anything wrong to you." Suddenly, I found it difficult to
control and harness my emotions. I felt like crying myself,
but somehow managed to stave it off for now. "I didn't even
do anything wrong earlier, sweetheart. I came to you in our
room to say that I told Pamela and Trish NO. _NO_, I would
NOT get them pregnant. Yet you exploded. You... you said
things to me that I didn't even know you were capable of
saying. And you used your karate on me... twice. Why?"
"I lost my temper!" she whined. "Just like back in
January, when I punched the wall... I lost my temper! When
I get mad, Jeremy, I can't control myself! I didn't even
know what I was doing for about 30 seconds!" Kristanna
covered her face with both hands and shook her head. "My
God, Jeremy! I spent the whole boat-ride on the way home
from Peru telling you how much I loved you!"
"What if the roles were reversed, Kristanna? What if I
hit you? Not that I would ever do that - I am the least
violent person you will ever meet. But let's just say I
did. When a husband hits his wife, people scream for
divorce." Kristanna suddenly looked at me, her eyes wide
and full of fright. "This wasn't Devon making two fists
and pounding on my shoulders like she does when I get her
mad. You came damn near close to breaking my ribs with a
forearm, Kristanna, then you gave me an uppercut to the jaw.
People get arrested for that."
   "Wh-What are you sa-sa-saying, Jer-J-Jeremy?"
"What I am saying is that you are going to have to learn
to control your temper from now on," I advised her, my voice
firm and strong. "I can do nothing to control you if you
want to start a fight with me, Kristanna. Even if I fought
back - which I wouldn't - but still, even if I fought back,
you would just block whatever I do and clean my clock anyway.
You're the black belt in karate, not me. The last fight I
had was 14 or 15 years ago in high school."
"I certainly couldn't stop her," Devon offered.
"There are going to be times in the future, Kristanna,
when you will be so mad at me, that you will want to KILL
me," I told her. "The same goes for Devon. All marriages
go through those fazes. I'll be mad at you, too. I'll be
mad at Devon. But I would never raise a hand at either of
you. I don't want what happened tonight to EVER happen
again. This is your first and only warning, Kristanna.
You can scream at me all you want if you're mad. You can
hit my shoulders like Devon does - and Ashley did awhile
ago - or shove me in the arm. You can even slap my face
if it's warranted. But if you EVER hit me like you did
tonight, then we are going to have some SERIOUS PROBLEMS."
Kristanna cringed at the realization as I continued, "I am
talking about our marriage, our future... everything."
"I never meant to hurt you!" the 23-year-old insisted.
"I lose my mind when I get mad!"
"You better find it from now on," I warned her. "This is
your only chance. You know what happened to you in the past.
Back in January, you lost your temper, punched a hole in the
wall and broke your hand and wrist. You saw what that did
to you. I thought you learned a lesson."
"I did!" Kristanna countered. "Honestly, I did!"
"I don't know," I frowned at her. "You are the most
outgoing, most friendly, most charismatic person I have ever
met in my entire life. Not only are you always laughing
about something, but you love to make others laugh, too.
Yet," I shook my head and added, "there is a terrible side
to you, too. Everyone has a terrible side, of course, but
yours is also violent. And that is troublesome."
"Hit those big punching bags in the exercise room that
Jeremy bought for you," Devon told Kristanna. "Not Jeremy
himself. And not the wall, either."
"I did nothing wrong tonight, Kristanna," I reiterated.
"I told Pamela and Trish no. I wanted to find you and Devon
to make sure both of you were alright. I told Pamela and
Trish no, yet you screamed at me like I cheated on you. And
then you hit me. Twice. That's not good, sweetheart."
"I'll get better," Kristanna promised, sniffing her nose
and nodding her head. "I just... it was like my nightmare
was coming true. Pamela was back and, in my nightmare, she
pops up out of nowhere one day and convinces you to leave
with her, Jeremy, and marry her. I... I flipped out. I...
I'm sorry. I am SO SORRY. It was like my nightmare... it
was like... it was coming... true. I lost my mind! I have
these thoughts, these fears. I honestly thought that after
she left last time, we would never see Pamela again. Yet
here she was tonight... asking you to get her PREGNANT. I
lost it, Jeremy. I totally lost it. And I'm sorry."
"Krissy, will you do me a favor?"
   "Anything. Anything at all."
"Considering the severity of what happened, I would like
you to get some counseling. That's right. I want you to
see a physciatrist. A shrink. I think some professional
help like that will help you to control your temper for those
times in the future when you are mad at either me or Devon.
Relationships END because of violence. Marriages END. This
can never happen again. Never. Do you understand that?"
"Yes... I do. And yes, I will get help."
I frowned. "Bringing up what happened with Lindsay so
long ago, and you asking Devon, Krissy, if she was happy
that you broke your hand and wrist, and needed surgery."
"That was the most cruel thing anyone has ever said to
me," Devon sniped, her eyes narrow. "I KNOW you did not
mean that, Krissy. But I still can't believe you said it.
I have been through HELL over what happened that day when I
was with Lindsay, and you hurt yourself. I've been through
HELL because of it! For you to ask me such a thing..."
Kristanna took a deep breath and sighed. "I cannot help
it, Devvy, but what you said to Lindsay that day - she had
the best-tasting pussy in the whole world - it has always
stuck with me. I know it was said in the heat of the moment
and you have convinced me, over time, that you enjoy being
with me a whole lot more than her. Obviously. But still,
what you said that day has always stuck with me. Just like
what happened tonight - it will always stick with Jeremy.
50 years from now, even if I never so much as raise my voice
at him ever again, he will always remember me hitting him.
I'll never forget what you said to Lindsay. The little
part of me that holds that in... it exploded tonight, too."
Devon looked hurt. "You'll always hold what I said to
Lindsay against me?"
"No, not at all," Kristanna answered. "Have I for the
past three months? You insist it was your fault I got hurt.
But you're not the one who punched the wall. I did. It was
my fault. I forgave you for what you said long ago. Jeremy
is giving me a second chance here. Looks like he is going
to forgive me. Still, he will never forget what happened.
It's the same, Devvy. I'll never forget what you said, no
matter if I forgave you for it or not. And I did. It... it
was like a dagger... through my heart."
This time, it was Devon who let out the long, deep sigh.
"We should have never even brought the girls back the first
time, in January. After we got married last year, the three
of us should have been totally monogamous to each other."
"We didn't have all that many problems with our guests
last year," Kristanna frowned. "When we brought them back
after Christmas is when all the bad stuff started to happen.
Well... except for Lindsay. She was a problem last year."
"I love you two girls more than anything," I told them.
"But this wide-open lifestyle we have led for the past few
months has to end. It has to end right now, here, tonight.
I say we make a vow to each other. A vow like never before.
If one of us so much as touches someone else, let alone
kisses, has sex or even remotely flirts with, it will be
considered cheating - and it will bear the consequences. I
don't need anyone else. I have, in my mind, the two sexiest
women in the universe as my wives. The two sweetest, too.
I say we make this vow - this promise - to each other."
"I agree," Devon nodded. "I promise to only have eyes
for the two of you from now on."
"Me too," Kristanna mused. "I promise to never be with
anyone but my husband and wife ever again. That, I think,
is what I have wanted all along. I promise..."
"What was that you were saying to me tonight, Krissy?" I
asked her. "That crazy stuff about me thinking about others
when I have sex with you?" She shook her head as I added,
"You accused me of thinking about Pamela, Lindsay, Britney.
If anything, it's the exact opposite. When I was with the
others, a lot of times I thought about you and Devon."
"I just... I don't know, Jeremy." Kristanna hid her face
for several seconds and then vigorously shook her head. "I
said and did a lot of things tonight that I'm going to have
to live with, and deal with, for the rest of my life. I
just... I dressed up as a schoolgirl the other night for you.
I know how much you loved it when Lindsay and Britney dressed
up as schoolgirls for you in the past. I... I don't know."
Kristanna hung her head low and began crying once again.
This time, I placed two fingers upon her chin and lifted
her face upward until her eyes were in line with mine. Then,
I moved my lips to hers and offered a gentle, loving kiss.
When I looked into her eyes, I noticed that they were soaked
with tears. Never had I saw Kristanna in such a sad shape.
Once I took a seat upon the floor, Kristanna turned her
back to me. I grasped her shoulders with both hands and
then pulled her to me until her back was comfortably resting
upon my chest. I offered the side of Kristanna's head a
kiss, then pecked her cheek and neck with my lips as well.
For the first time in several hours, I was greeted by the
mesmerizing sight of a smile upon Devon's beautiful face.
Seated in front of us, Devon leaned over and gave her wife a
simple kiss, then did the same for me. What a smile!
A far-reaching grin came to my face once Devon took ahold
of Kristanna's right hand and squeezed it lovingly. Devon
inspected that hand for several seconds with her blue eyes,
simply admiring it, then brought it to her lips for a kiss.
This was the first real opportunity Devon had to focus upon
Kristanna's hand after her cast had come off earlier.
"It's beautiful," Devon whispered, kissing her hand again.
"Just beautiful." Devon brought Kristanna's hand close and
placed it upon one of her own breasts. Suddenly, Devon's
eyes were glowing. "Hmmmmm. I love it when you touch me.
I haven't felt your this hand on me since January."
"I love touching you, too," Kristanna murmured, before
pulling her hand away and frowning.
   "What's wrong?" Devon asked.
"I just feel so guilty!" Kristanna fretted. "Ever since
the day Amy smashed Jeremy upside the head with that flower
vase, I have continually said what a horrible and despicable
person she is. How could Amy do that to Jeremy after how
nice he had been to her? Now..." Kristanna frowned once
again, then her entire body shivered as if she was cold.
"I... I'm no different than Amy. No different."
"That's nonsense, Krissy!" Devon countered. "Amy hit
Jeremy with what could be considered a deadly weapon."
"I hit Jeremy with a deadly weapon too," Kristanna said,
extending her right arm and making a fist. "I'm a black
belt, Devvy. I can inflict a lot of damage with this."
"I really don't want to talk about this anymore," I told
my two wives, before focusing upon Kristanna. "You made a
bad mistake. Unfortunately, that mistake cannot be reversed.
If time travel was possible, I'm sure you'd be the first to
give it a try. But you'll move on from that mistake, and
learn from it. We'll move on. You love me, I love you.
You love Devon, Devon loves you, Devon loves me. That is
the only thing that really matters. It's been a taxing
night, sweetheart. Let's end it and start fresh tomorrow."
"Yeah, let's go to bed and get some rest," Devon agreed.
"I'm still no better than Amy..." Kristanna sulked.
"The difference between you and Amy, peaches, is that you
are my wife and I love you," I told her. "I am much more
forgiving and lenient with the likes of you and Devon than I
would be with anyone else." I tightened my embrace upon her
from behind and kissed the side of her neck once again. "I
love you, sweetheart. You're my girl. No one is perfect.
Everyone makes mistakes. Let's get over this, and move on."
"You don't know how TERRIBLE I feel!" Kristanna gushed,
as she began to cry yet again. "I love you, Jeremy! You
and Devvy are the best things that have EVER happened to me!
I CANNOT BELIEVE what I did to you earlier, Jeremy. I hit
you not ONCE, but TWICE! I feel so low and miserable!"
"You know what I think?" Devon commented. "I think it
would do us some good to get away from the island for awhile.
A lot of good, actually." She looked my way and continued,
"Remember, Jeremy, when you and I were recently talking about
visiting Norway?" Kristanna's interest level perked up as
Devon added, "I say we pack our suitcases and go on vacation
to Norway - be there - no more than two, three days from now.
Could you get that done with your travel agent, Jeremy?"
"You wa-want to go to my country?" Kristanna asked.
"Yes," Devon clarified. "I think it would do you a world
of good to see your family again."
"You and Jeremy are my family..."
Devon smiled and corrected herself, "Your other family,
then. Your mom and dad, sister, her kids. I know how much
you miss them, Krissy. Your parents were so nice to Jeremy
and me when we were there for our honeymoon last year. Not
only do I want you to see your folks again, but I want to
see them myself, too. They treated us like family."
"That's because you ARE family to them," Kristanna said.
"My parents are about the nicest, most easy-going people
you will ever meet in your entire life."
"That's where you got that warm, loving heart from."
Kristanna frowned at Devon. "Me? A warm, loving heart?
Not after what happened tonight."
"Oh Krissy," Devon fussed. "Let's move on from this just
like Jeremy said. We can't change what happened, so let's
do our best to deal with it. This is a bad chapter of our
marriage, I agree. But it is just one chapter. I think if
you put all the chapters of our marriage together, it turns
out to be a GREAT story. Let's focus on all the good things
we have going for us, and don't dwell on the negative."
"The good things outnumber the bad things a thousand to
one," I offered. "Why don't you call your parents in the
morning, peaches, and ask if it's okay if we come to visit?"
   "They'll say yes," Kristanna said.
"I know they will," I nodded. "But we still have to ask."
I looked at my wristwatch, then yawned. "It's almost eleven
o'clock. We really need to hit the sack." Still embracing
her from behind, I smiled at Kristanna and said, "I don't
want you to feel guilty, or dwell on what happened tonight."
   "How can't I?" she screeched.
"This will pass, but you first have to allow it to pass,"
I responded. "I know I, personally, am going to let it pass.
Looks like Devon is moving on from this, too. If we can do
that, Krissy, and not hold any lingering resentment toward
you, then you should be able to move on and do the same."
Kristanna took a deep breath and moaned, "I'll try..."
