                    Chapter 19: Karen's Nightmare

Crying, Karen stood in the midst of a crowd of boys, her arms high
over her head, her wrists pinched by tightly wrapped chains kinked into
an unyielding knot. The lusty jeers of the crowd filled her with fear
as she stood trembling, helpless. Despairingly, she looked up at her
wrists, trying to see some way of escape, but she could only see the
flagpole on the playground at her school, and the chain running up the
pole to the flag flapping in the brisk breeze. Two boys on either side
of her lifted her dress, higher and higher, and there was nothing she
could do to stop them. The dress soon covered her face, and she knew
with certainty that it covered absolutely nothing else, and the whole
crowd of boys could see her pink panties with the silver ribbons on the
sides, and her belly button, and even her bare titties. She whined and
pleaded, but mostly cried. She felt a tug on the ribbons. She squirmed
and struggled desperately as she felt her panties begin to slide down.
The cheers and laughter of the boys redoubled, kindling a deeper crimson
blush of shame, wasted since nobody saw. She heard the chain against
the metal flagpole, keeping time with the jeers and cruel taunts, as her
panties descended to her thighs, to her knees, and finally dropped to
her ankles. She knew the whole crowd of boys could see her naked pussy,
but again, there was nothing she could do about it. Hands began pushing
her socks down. Clank, clank, clank went the chain against the pole...

Karen woke from the nightmare and opened her eyes. She still heard
the clanking sound, only it wasn't a chain on a flagpole. In confusion
she pushed the blanket off her face and looked around her dark bedroom,
trying to figure out where the sound came from. In a sleepy fog, she
pushed aside the covers and sat up, slipping soft white bunny-rabbit
slippers onto bare feet. She stood and smoothed down her silk nightie,
feeling the familiar outline of a teddy bear hugging a large red heart.
She fumbled for the lamp switch.

Before she could turn on the lamp, a brief flash of light caught
her attention. She turned to her bedroom window, the one that faced
away from the street. She could still hear the clanking noise, only it
was now more of an insistent tapping, and it was coming from the same
window where she had seen the flash. Still feeling frightened by her
nightmare, she hesitated before going to the window.

Low voices murmured from outside, and the tapping sound stopped,
then a flashlight lit up, revealing shadowy faces. Karen cringed when
she recognized three of the neighbor boys grinning in at her. And she
cringed even more when Jeremy pointed up at the window latch, and said
threateningly, "Open the window. OR ELSE." Bob and Ken held up photos.
Karen knew what they were, and what the threat meant, without needing to
see them closer.

"No, no, ohhhhh go awaaay!" the girl pleaded, gesturing as if her
timid protests could banish evil spirits, instead of attracting them.

"OR... ELSE..." came a growl that chilled her. The photos waved
more earnestly.

Karen bit her lip, trembling, on the verge of tears. She didn't
want to do what the boys wanted. She knew what they wanted would be
very nasty and very mean. But she saw she had no choice. Weakly, the
girl moved the lace curtains aside, reached out and opened the latch
that kept the window locked. A half-second later, the boys had slid it
open.

     "Get over here," Jeremy ordered.

Karen stepped closer to the window. She shivered from the touch of
cold night air. She thought of getting her thick warm robe from where
it hung on the corner of her four-poster bed, but Jeremy's glare changed
her mind.

     "Reach out."

She reached out a hand, just a little bit, fearful but trying to
obey.

"Both hands out here, all the way. Now!"

Karen knelt down on the floor and reached both hands out the window
as demanded, bracing her stomach against the window sill for balance.
It didn't surprise her that Ken produced a spool of thin nylon cord and
began wrapping it around her wrists. Seven times around, as tightly as
he could wrap it, he wound the cord, then three times down between her
arms and back up between her hands, wrapping around the first seven and
pulling them tighter. As he jerked the cord tight, she whimpered, a
sound almost like a cry, but just a single note of pain instead of a
melody of misery. Three boys' lips curled up in smirks.

"Lean out further. Open your mouth. Wide!"

Her braids hung down by her head as Karen submitted to the demand,
leaning further out the window. She felt hands moving behind her head.
A thick leather strap slid across her open mouth. Several painful jerks
later, the belt forced her teeth apart and lodged behind them, holding
her mouth wider than she could have opened it herself. She whimpered
again and again as it tightened even further, hurting her. And it also
terrified her when she realized what it meant. The boys expected her to
scream. They KNEW they were going to do something that would have made
her scream, if not for the gag. And with the gag, nobody else would be
able to hear, even in the silence of night. At that realization, the
poor girl's separate little whimpers blended into an unceasing cry. Her
crying continued as she tried to pull back inside.

And that cry certainly didn't stop when the boys pulled her out the
open window by brute force, and dropped her on the grass, wet with dew.
With no help from the boys, and unable to use her hands, Karen struggled
to her feet, and finally stood, outside her bedroom window, at night, in
a cold wet silk nightie and little else.

"Look at that, Karen, you left the window open!" a boy taunted her.

"When you snuck out in the middle of the night," another added.

"You better get back home before your daddy finds out, or you'll
get in big trouble!" the last boy teased.

"And to get back in time, you'll have to hurry hurry hurry, when we
tell you to do something," the first boy concluded. "Right, Karen?"

Dejectedly, Karen only nodded. They forced her to walk with them
toward the street, and she hurried to obey, her soft white bunny-rabbit
slippers getting soaked and muddy. Out at the street, they forced her
to stand with her back to the metal streetlight pole and raise her arms.
The boys lifted her, hooking the tight cords on her wrists over a peg.
It was then that she saw other lights moving on the street, small lights
aimed downward, being carried by several people in several groups, all
coming toward her from up and down the street.

Crying, Karen stood helpless, her arms high over her head, her
wrists pinched by tightly wrapped cords tied into an unyielding knot.
Two boys on either side of her lifted her silk nightie, higher and
higher, and there was nothing she could do to stop them. The silk
nightie soon covered her face, and she knew with certainty that it
covered absolutely nothing else, and her three neighbors, and everyone
else soon to arrive with their lights, could see her pink panties with
the silver ribbons on the sides, and her belly button, and even her bare
titties. She felt a tug on the ribbons. She squirmed and struggled
desperately as she felt her panties begin to slide down...

... and shivered as the frigid night wind whipped her naked body,
the cold bare metal of the pole against her cold bare back and her cold
bare bottom froze her, the painful gag in her mouth hurt her and stifled
any pleas for rescue, and the voices of many people she would never see
began to surround her, tease her, taunt her, and laugh at her. She
hadn't forgotten why they had gagged her with such a cruel gag. They
knew she was going to want to scream. She wondered with dread what they
were going to do to her, to make her try to scream. She knew things
were going to get much worse for her before the night was over, and she
shook from crying as much as from the cold.

For Karen, real life was worse than her worst nightmare!
