Katrina:
   * Chapter 1 : A strange twist of fate *
   Katrina cursed herself.  She shouldn't have taken this shortcut and that
too, alone, in this unearthly hour of the night.  But, what choice did she
have ?  The state "best drama" award ceremony had taken up too much time
and she had to be there until the last moment.  Even if she could have
notched up a minor prize that would have been great and Mark, his marketing
manager, would have been delighted.  There were some bigshot Hollywood
agents present and she could have done very well with that sort of
visibility.
   But now, there she was, standing in the middle of the road, looking with
disgust at her car which had suddenly decided that any sort of movement is
